Cancer: Hope Made In India

  • Many of us can recall receiving an invitation to a fundraiser for someone seeking medical treatment abroad. Such cases are especially common for cancer patients who go to great lengths to seek medical care in foreign countries. India, for instance, is proving a popular destination for such patients with more than 200 patients travelling out of the country each month. But why are Kenyans travelling thousands of miles to seek treatment that, ordinarily, should be available back at home? Evelyn Wambui has just returned from India where she sought answers to some of these troubling questions. Here's part one of the series 'India's medical option.

Liar liar , ask Gandhi, or rather, read his published papers in South Africa! Gandhi wanted the blacks in South Africa to forever be enslaved. Also, look on youtube to see how Indians treat Africans in India, versus the way Africans treat Indians in Africa, big difference! What Idi Amin of Uganda said about Indians' hatred of Africans long time ago has proven to be true with the advent of the internet. Hopefully, Africans will wake up one day!.

A lot of countries think they can do the same as India. The premise is because India can do, so can we. The reality is, no you cannot. Many countries have been trying and failing. Indian doctors are simply the best and overall it is value for money. You get the best treatment at affordable costs. The combination is unique. Period.

Its because the doctors who got admissions in Indian medical colleges through general category and not through quotas have passed through probably the toughest competition and exams and are some of the smartest and unbelievably hard working people not just in India but in the world.

Because lack of basic facilities in these countries are the main problem. To open a super speciality hospital like this, you need continuous electric and water supply. Good infrastructure to connect the hospital. Local medical equipment manufacturing facilities like dressing pads, medical gloves, surgical masks, and other daily used items. And also you need a good medicine supply chain. Without locally manufacturing these items, a super speciality hospital must import these items from outside. That will naturally increase the medical cost. And an average African man or people can't afford this high cost. Then the hospitals have few patients and it cannot work with limited facilities.
