I own knives of Benchmade, spyderco, USA produced Kershaw and a few others. I cannot stress enough the value this knife brings to a pocket. It's heads above the $50 I paid for it. I want to share a few things since I have been carrying this blade. Out of box it could have been sharper. But the vg10 is great at taking a fine edge. Don't let anyone tell you it's a cheap steel. There are definitely better steels to be had... But you will pay for them. Imo it's well beyond 8cr13mov. Fit and finish are superb, just as an expirament I handed it to a friend if mine and told him I paid $160 for it. He flicked open the action and examined the knife and remarked on how great a value that was compared to the market a mire 10 years ago. I told him the actual price and he had one ordered and on the way by days end. The knife feels long and slender in hand and the lockbar is well made and thick enough to inspire confidence in its function and durability. Above all I must tell you how quick, smooth and exceedingly pleasurable the action and deployment is on this great knife. I have had assisted Kershaws in my pocket for the past few months and though i would be missing the single handed flipper to be honest. And honestly, I didn't. Both sides of the blade have phosphor bronze bushings. I was shocked to learn that this isn't the case for many knives. Alot of them have phosphor bronze on one side and Teflon on the other... Or even Teflon on both. This has very very smooth bronze bushings on each side giving a very tight and strong pivot, action and lockup. It's so fast in fact that many of my fiends and even my father thought it must be on springs of some sort and when first trying the life for themselves initially were expecting it to fly open... But when resolving to deploy it as it's design intended found that it may as well be spring fired or even rocket propelled. The balance of the lockbar pressure and high tolerance pivot and longer well weighted blade results in the slickest glass like opening of a blade below $120 that I have ever seen to date. It's beyond pleasant to use and well positioned to close single handed to boot. Very handsome knife blade, grind lines are impeccable, sharp back spine, well executed strong clip, shy G10 Handles with proud skeleton stainless liners. I'm an eagle scout and grew up getting the most of of every blade I had. I have never felt compelled to share my affections, nor have I ever written about a blade before now. I have no care if you buy one or not. All I know is that I have been buying and returning knives on Amazon for a while now and feel so satisfied with this latest purchase that even as I poor part time working man as myself I have already bought a second one (black this time) and can't wait to play with it when it comes. Very fun knife to flick open and closed. I have gone out of my way to show everyone I meet and know. Pulling it out of my pocket almost before shaking hands with someone I'm so excited to share and proclaim the good news. Almost like I'm telling them about some savior or blessing that's avaliable to them. I almost think of this knife like that. I'm just so happy to share the good word with people that I may. Thank you for reading. Enjoy your new blade, I dare you to buy just one. :)
I almost broke the lock splitting wood with my recon. Of course I was hitting it with a sledge hammer. I took it apart afterward and it still works. Lives in my get home bag now.
I have had the shooting bug lately. I have been at the range 7-8 times in the last two months I went and put 200 rounds through my new g17 gen 5 I got for Christmas. That said I went two years without shooting before I caught the bug. I had two guns that I’d owned for over a year that had never been fired! Life happens. Anyways great vid nutn keep em coming
I've had a keltec pf9 for 4 yrs... I put about 500 rounds a yr through it.. upgraded the spring and guide rod. Snappy pistol but 100 % reliable comfortable to carry and very accurate at 7 yards.
Bought this knife and feel the same way. The knife feels like a $100-150.00 blade. Gave them as gifts this Christmas. Was waiting to see if you picked up on this blade. Very cool that you did. Mp
I’ve been using my Schrade Pro Hunter 171UH since the late 70’s. Couldn’t be more pleased. Also highly recommend the Kershaw Ken Onion “Leek” for all purpose carry.
Omg! I was just wondering when you're going to do another krv! Awesome. It's been many years since your last outting video, have you done any recently? I'm especially looking forward to your knife usage and cooking videos.
With the Casio PRG-600 testing, I suggest you wear it with a fleece pull over and take the fleece on and off a couple of times. I just sent a PRG-600 back because of a static reset problem and it is a known issue with some Pro Trek models. I was very disappointed.
I've lost all confidence in the Kel-Tec PF-9 after a close family friend who carries it had the extractor fall off of his. Kel-Tec was happy to replace it but it didn't really make him feel warm and fuzzy inside.
How you described taking the thumb studs off will work, that's how I got them off, but I couldn't do it without gouging the studs, they have red thread locker on them. Kizer also has a new ultra(?) budget line called Tangram knives, 440 acuto steel, g-10, skeletonized liners and ball bearing pivots for $30.
Agree on the PF9. It is cranky due to the small size, and I have to force myself to run 50-100 rounds when I really want to grab a 1911 or a Glock. Fun to shoot? No. But you can carry it forever and never imprint! Not even my wife knew when I had it. Nice feature!
I bought a Vanguard Dukes after your review! That is such a smooth knife. My only complaint with it is that if you have it in your pocket, the flipper protrudes quite a lot and so it gets in the way a bit when I put things in and out of my pocket.
Nutn can’t wait for you to review the AREX REX ZERO ONE CP, it replaced the Glock 26 as my 9mm carry gun and is in the same category as the Glock 26, and ties into the same price to quality level as the kel tec. It has been more accurate and reliable than even my full size P226. Love the content nutn keep it up.
Used to laugh about people saying that, until I shot an acquaintance's FNP-45, and darned if that thing didn't slap the crap out of my trigger finger. Shot all kinds of guns and never had an issue but that gun trucked me up.
I kinda wanted a Kel Tec until I shot one. Managed to keep ejecting the magazine, regardless of hold or ammunition used. That seems like a bit of a deal breaker on something that might be used for self defense.
Picked up the kizer Dukes and Splinter during the end of year sale at Blade HQ. Very high value (and fits second kind of cool because my last name is Kiser) Keep the reviews coming
Agreed, the PF9 is easy to carry, but despite polishing feed ramp, and other issues, it simply was NOT reliable. I wanted so bad for it to be a carry pistol, but alas my G19 and G26 gen 4’s are my go to EDC.
Yep, same here. Polished, new mags, new extractor, cleaned and lubed. Still no good, every mag or so I have some sort of malfunction with the PF9. I stopped wasting ammo on it and put it back in the box and put it away for good. I would sell it but I can not in good conscience sell someone something that may get someone killed if it failed on them. Really disappointing, I really wanted to like this pistol.
Tractornoodle1 yes, same here. I literally put it in my closet 5 years ago and there it sits today. I too, cannot in good conscience, dare sell it to someone. Maybe one day I will simply completely destroy it.
I've never owned a single firearm from them that hasn't been a box of problems. Sad. Only 3 companies I have never had any good luck with their products. 1. Taurus 2. Kel tec 3. Kahr
Robo Cop I currently have a Kahr .380 in shop now as it continues to have feeding issues. If it gets resolved to my satisfaction I might...MIGHT, use as a backup. MIGHT.
I own a pf9 and I honestly don't like shooting it cuz it hurts my damn hands lol. I purchased the trigger shoe and extended magazine along with metal upgraded recoil spring and guide rod. It shoots a little better now but you got to keep in mind it ain't designed for Comfort shooting at the range.
I'm sticking with the Walther PPS M2 for EDC. I picked up the LE version with 3 magazines over the summer for $349 ($50 off + $100 rebate). Talk about performance and value.
Looks like it actually went up to $52 during Sat. evening. I think Amazon adjusts pricing in near real time. Perhaps with a short delay, but very short.
Science Insider Ruger makes some great 22's. Other then that, I steer clear of all their other offerings though. Shit in, shit out if you know what I mean.
I'll pass on the Security 9, but do plan on getting their new PCC. It's styled as a 9mm version of their takedown 10/22. And it accepts Glock mags. What's not to like?
I'll stick with my Kahr CW9 and my Kershaw Cryo II. I've been carrying that gun/knife combo for over a year every day and use the knife all the time. Also, I work close enough to our Bass Pro in Memphis that I go to the range at lunch at least once a month ☺ Life is good.
That knife tickles my fancy. It's exactly what I want. More expensive in Australia though so I'll have to stick to my current knife (that sucks to sharpen).
Daily dose of irony: as you say "don't play with knives, kids," I'm attempting to slice open a boot blister on my toe. Right before a 12 hour shift no less.
What I would love to see from nutnfancy is a how to video on knife sharpening and re-edging.... you always say when you meet up with your fans our knives are dull SOO educate us I for one would love to learn...
idk im at the range every Saturday and sometimes i go once in between the weekdays to satisfy my urge till Saturday idk maybe i have a problem..its hard to believe ppl only go once or twice a year thats kinda weird
Kizer Gemini flipper is in my pocket right now one trip to my edge pro ...... Perfect etc for me. I have lots of knifes but some I don't want to loose or break so. Gemini it is :)
I have 3 Kizers and the worst action and detent goes to my most expensive one, the Tomcat with S35vn and titanium liners. On washers and the detent is awful. Other 2 are on bearings and VG10 steel and steel liners.
Hey Nutn, really love your channel. I started looking into red dot & magnifier combo, it seems to be an awesome solution for close range and it can provide enough magnification to see stuff couple of hundreds meters away. I 'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Sergey Rodionov I think it depends on the expected use for the rifle. My home defense AR pistol has a red dot and I keep a magnifier with it that I could throw on if I intend to use it for anything else. After starting with red dots on almost all of my ARs, I’ve switched to low powered, variable scopes on most of my general purpose ARs. IMO, the only real advantage to the magnifier is the ability to remove it to reduce weight. Back in the day, variable scopes had crappy eye relief/eye box, but the price point has dropped on mid-quality scopes so the close-in speed advantage for red dots is much lower than it used to be.
Europa Chronicles, Yeah, there are lots of good variable scopes, but from my experience they aren't as easy to use from awkward positions as a red dot. However, I can't shoot non magnified red dot at extended ranges. It seems a magnifier could help me out with that
Nutn has spoke about this topic before and he goes back to the mobility vs firepower concept that you don’t get enough in terms of magnification for the amount weight you put on your rifle in most cases. I think he was specifically talking about the eotech and magnifier combo at the time fwiw
My job is different I guess, EDC for me involves cutting zip ties, rubber hosing, cutting rope, prying gaskets off, etc. I will not pay more than 30 dollars for my EDC as they have a hard time living for more than a couple months, parts start falling off. Thumb lever on blade works out and gets lost, clip looses screws, tip snaps off, blade gets some pretty nasty dents on it. I keep it sharp though, just too hard on them often using them not as intended to get the job done because it's on me and I left the right tool in the shop.
Loving these budget KRVnWRVs! Any chance we could see more oddball budget GRVs? Thinking SAR 9 & SAR K2 .45 acp pistols, rifle CZ 527 in 7.62x39 and perhaps a Roni pistol attachment for the Glock platform to name a few. I know several people including myself would like to know if they are worth it and see them put through testing.
Ps. What's your opinion on the Kershaw skyline now compared to many that are out ~ recently? I've received one 2 years ago as an xmas gift and it's been awesome. I've always been put off because aesthetics didn't appeal to me and high riding pocket clip sucked but since it was a gift, I splurged on a ti lowriding pocket clip and has been my edc since I got it. Doesn't look the best but sure does perform better than most for being so simple.
Hey nutnfancy is there any watch close to or comparable to in style/function of the Casio Protrek PRW-6000YT-1BJF Triple Snesor V.3 (blue accents) as I saw one and fell in love, but am not forking over $700+ for a Watch.

Azo is the name of the Kizer in-house designer, he has designed some of Kizers best knives.
Hope this helps.
Skip to 6:00 if you want the gawdamn knife
(just bustin balls, great review as always)
The real MVP
I almost broke the lock splitting wood with my recon. Of course I was hitting it with a sledge hammer.
I took it apart afterward and it still works. Lives in my get home bag now.
Picked up a kizer nomad last year, great knife. Im totally impressed with kizer.
You know you’re an old school TNPer if you remember when the PF9 was nutnfancy’s favorite and most carried concealed carry pistol
mkay0502 or watched most everything from the past over a year or so when I found his channel lol.
I just bought one from Blade HQ and I’ve been using the Kershaw Thistle so I’m looking forward to seeing how a more expensive knife holds up
I've had a keltec pf9 for 4 yrs...
Mp
Kiser is killing it lately! Every price range it's hard to argue with their innovation and craftsmanship!
tested my Pf9 with hardball, my RNFP handloads, and WW SIlvertips....; fed them all, love the pistol!
Thanks for pumping out these KRVs and WRVs! Being left handed I'm not big on the liner locks though.
I'm lefty, I use my middle finger instead of my thumb, if you haven't tried that, try it
I’ve been using my Schrade Pro Hunter 171UH since the late 70’s. Couldn’t be more pleased. Also highly recommend the Kershaw Ken Onion “Leek” for all purpose carry.
I was carrying mine today, love it. It's an eye-catcher...
Omg! I was just wondering when you're going to do another krv! Awesome. It's been many years since your last outting video, have you done any recently? I'm especially looking forward to your knife usage and cooking videos.
OK they are planned. It's sad for me to go out there without my dogness. I'm trying to overcome that. -nutnfancy

Use the full length of the FFG blade on the the Edge Pro’s table. I started doing that with my Sebenza knives, and it works fine.
best budget knife I own. had it for about 5 months and my fav edc
Got the knife my self about a year ago, exellent knife, now in my edc rotation. Had to put a new edge on it though. -thanx for the vid!
Mine did come with a wicked edge! Also bought a Keizer Escort, check that knife out if ya can.
Thanks for another video. Any Updates on the Tikka T3x Video? I can't wait for it.
THanks. Are you talking about my custom T3 build?
You said in your TC Compass review you are going to be posting a video for the Tikka T3 CTR
Was about to walk out the door with this knife.. until I saw the Kizer Roach with orange scales. My favorite knife now after a few months of carry
Agree on the PF9. It is cranky due to the small size, and I have to force myself to run 50-100 rounds when I really want to grab a 1911 or a Glock. Fun to shoot? No. But you can carry it forever and never imprint! Not even my wife knew when I had it. Nice feature!
We both have a addiction to knifes but i am a Benchmade fan love the axis system I just bought the automatic Adams’s wonderful knife
I bought a Vanguard Dukes after your review! That is such a smooth knife. My only complaint with it is that if you have it in your pocket, the flipper protrudes quite a lot and so it gets in the way a bit when I put things in and out of my pocket.

'begleiter' is the german word for 'companion' - Best greetings from a swiss guy, really like your work nutn'!
I kinda wanted a Kel Tec until I shot one. Managed to keep ejecting the magazine, regardless of hold or ammunition used. That seems like a bit of a deal breaker on something that might be used for self defense.
my PF-9 is a great paper weight…never been reliable. Skip to 6:20 to get to the knife review. Great looking knife, good reviews….thanks nutn
Picked up the kizer Dukes and Splinter during the end of year sale at Blade HQ. Very high value (and fits second kind of cool because my last name is Kiser) Keep the reviews coming

donioshio +2 for unreliability, mine ran 100 rounds flawless then I couldn't go a mag without a jam.
Yep, same here. Polished, new mags, new extractor, cleaned and lubed. Still no good, every mag or so I have some sort of malfunction with the PF9. Black+Blue+Silver looks AWESOME on amazon!
The cima full tang survival knife on Amazon is the best bargain I've found. That knife is awesome.
How about a Nutnfancy Spyderco catalog walk threw?
Harley I love Spyderco, but they just raised their prices across the board. The Shaman went from $149. to $182. Over a $30 markup! WTF Spyderco?
John Toughlove I didn’t know that...I know the one with the coated blade was coming out and was little more pricey.
Titanium coated blade? Wonder if that can be anodized, or if it's like a titanium nitride coating?
What’s up with that security 9 offering from Ruger?
Science Insider i wamma know too. I think MAC is doing a vid on it soon
Science Insider Ruger makes some great 22's. Other then that, I steer clear of all their other offerings though. Shit in, shit out if you know what I mean.
I have tons of ruger revolvers, Old vaquero, sp101, gp100 and my buddy has the new mpr. Their stuff is rock solid. Sometimes heavy but very reliable.
thor j the new gp100 7 shot with a 2.5" barrel in 357 is right up your ally dude
$320 for a Casio!??!?!?! Wow they've come a long way from the never die gshocks , that just blew my mind!
Defiantly my style of knife I have the Al Mar eagle and really like the Boker stingray this kinda fits along them lines!
Got the Vanguard Splinter. Good Quality, just tough to get that VG10 as sharp as I want it.
That Klim jacket you have is most excellent
How did Nutn get his head stuck in a bowling ball?
Really like to get a 43 but my EDC Springfield XD Mod 2 .40 works just fine. Little heavy. But works.
Any chance there will be a KRV for the Kershaw/AlMar collaboration knife? Seems like a possible contender for HOF Value...
Nutfancy, can you review Anderson AM-15 with RF85 treatment? Their self-lubricated rifle. Love your reviews!
First I've heard of this manufacturer. Have they always been quality or should I stay away from certain models?
That knife tickles my fancy. It's exactly what I want. More expensive in Australia though so I'll have to stick to my current knife (that sucks to sharpen).
Heya just wonderin when the owl patches are gonna be back in the nuttn store?
Daily dose of irony: as you say "don't play with knives, kids," I'm attempting to slice open a boot blister on my toe. Right before a 12 hour shift no less.
Brandon Davis that's not irony...
What I would love to see from nutnfancy is a how to video on knife sharpening and re-edging.... you always say when you meet up with your fans our knives are dull SOO educate us I for one would love to learn...
What a cool knife, great review. However, I am wondering when we are getting a 940-2 review?
What do you use to sharpen your blades?
jose perez edge pro apex
I've been considering this one for a while. But, if it requires re-edging, that's a huge miss for me.
Good video, won't spring for one myself but great to some insight on it
What do you think of that Klim jacket or their products in general I’d like to pick up the klim kryos adventure helmet
Good to see the PF9 is still going strong. Looks good. LC9s or Glock 43 for me.
idk im at the range every Saturday and sometimes i go once in between the weekdays to satisfy my urge till Saturday idk maybe i have a problem..its hard to believe ppl only go once or twice a year thats kinda weird
This seems like a good time to ask - recommendation for sharpeners?
Current Amazon price is $52. Price for Ontario Rat 1 in D2 is $40.
Rat 1 is probably a better deal, but I’m liking the look of the Kizer.
I liked how light it was but because it wasn't reliable I sold it and now I have the Glock 43 and that's where I should have started with.
JDM ONLY! That watch is pretty cool, hope its available online
How many guns do you need? Well, how many guns do you have?
For the price of the keltek I choose m&p shield
Kizer Gemini flipper is in my pocket right now one trip to my edge pro ...... Perfect etc for me. I have lots of knifes but some I don't want to loose or break so. Gemini it is :)
Great review nutn see ya next time
I have 3 Kizers and the worst action and detent goes to my most expensive one, the Tomcat with S35vn and titanium liners. On washers and the detent is awful. Other 2 are on bearings and VG10 steel and steel liners.
this or a kershaw chill, this knife is 80 bucks in canada and chill 44. i have a kizer zugang on the way
What are your thoughts on the Kershaw Cryo?
Nutnfancy what do you sharpen your blades with?
Hey Nutn, really love your channel. I started looking into red dot & magnifier combo, it seems to be an awesome solution for close range and it can provide enough magnification to see stuff couple of hundreds meters away. I 'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Sergey Rodionov it all depends on your budget and if you have had a red dot before?
Sergey Rodionov I think it depends on the expected use for the rifle. My home defense AR pistol has a red dot and I keep a magnifier with it that I could throw on if I intend to use it for anything else.

If I had to guess, he’ll probably say it adds too much weight haha
Europa Chronicles, Yeah, there are lots of good variable scopes, but from my experience they aren't as easy to use from awkward positions as a red dot. However, I can't shoot non magnified red dot at extended ranges. It seems a magnifier could help me out with that

I shoot about once per month with carry pistol and other guns. Used to be once a week but I’m cutting costs.
I have the p11, looks about the same as that one. It's cool but it jams with HPs
Nut, any update on killer?
RIP my boker dagger , like 10 years ago when you did the video on it i donated one to australian customs lol
Scored this today at blade show 2019 for forty bucks!
This reminds me of the SOG Twitch II (minus the flipper and safety)
Doesn't look the best but sure does perform better than most for being so simple.
really enjoy your videos and info, thanks
How do you sign/engrave your blades? Cool touch, btw.
Once a year for shooting a defensive gun? I shoot my home defense AR-15 every 2 months and I have 1500 rounds through it in 13 months
Good word brother. Still Loving my Cold steel Spartan btw. Thumb's up!~John

Are you going to do a review of the Ruger Security 9?
Wish Blade HQ would deliver to UK
Yo nutn what ever happened to the dude who did your trigger jobs? I haven’t heard you mention him in forever.
Hold on Mr. Pistol grip shotguns hurt my little hands! Does the mean ol buckshot make you cry? 😢
Nice bang for the buck knife.
(Closing shot........put watch on table that costs more then the gun and knife combined)
