The temple was designed by a famous Sri Lankan architect, Geoffrey Bawa. if you are into designing/architecture, there are a number of Tropical modernist hotels designed by him that are worth checking out.
We’ll be making a whole video going over the cost break down, because we tracked EVERY dollar spent! Hint: it’s a lot more affordable than you expect! Stay tuned!
You're right! This place is really worth it, I wish to go there once!🥰 The color in the video is rustic but elegant, I like the way you edited the video!😍 Do you like this place?
Amazing! Thank you so much! We honestly really enjoyed this spot. But it was HOTTTT!! You can see how much I’m sweating throughout the whole video, haha!
Thank you for the reminder!! We learn so much during these travels that we unfortunately can’t remember it all! So thank you for the comment! Hopefully other viewers can read your comment to get more clarity on the subject! 🙌
Nice video. What is the make and model of the camera that you use to create the videos such as this for your TH-cam channel? The colours look quite dark in the video, was it cloudy and a dark day in Colombo, Sri Lanka , made me wonder why the video has very dark video images than having it bright considering the video was done during the day time and usually there is plenty of Sunlight during the daytime. You are already using the Sri Lankan PickMe App instead of Uber, which Sri Lankans in the country prefer to use instead of the Uber App. Hope you both enjoyed your travel in Sri Lanka and would consider visiting Sri Lanka again in 2024 and do more videos that can be shared by you both, on your TH-cam channel.
Thanks for the love!! We’ll be making a whole video on all our camera gear that we use for travel! As for the colour, there’s a few answers to this. Firstly, it was a partially cloudy day, but there were also really harsh shadows due to the harsh sun peeking through. So that obviously creates lots of contrast. Otherwise, there’s also the artistic touch we add in editing! Hope that helps!
@@sophieandhaydentravels Sounds like a good plan to do a whole video soon sharing about all your camera gear that you both use for travel, including on what you used to make this video, and it may interest many others if you share the process on how you edit your videos mentioning the software you use giving learning tips, and giving the process you use and the average time it generally takes to finish producing a typical video with the finishing touches to your videos that you publish on your TH-cam Channel that you do while you travel to countries.
One of our favourite parts about Asia is the beautiful temples, so we are always more than happy to pay entry tickets when we know that money is going towards keeping the temple clean, and beautiful!
Thanks a ton! We actually use a bunch of gear to create these videos! We’ll be making a video going over all the stuff we pack for trips like these, so stay tuned for that and you’ll see everything we bring!
oh no, being the very squishy soft thing durian is, i think u squashed it too much in the bag...its better experienced plucking off the fruit husk itself..one by one..oh well
Yes!! We couldn’t quite find the words, haha! We learned so much through this whole trip that it’s hard to recall it all on the spot. Thank you for watching! 🙌🙌
We might be wrong about this. It was explained to us a few weeks prior to this video by a friend and we were trying to recall what she had said on the spot. Apologies if this is wrong.
Actually, just double checked and it is believed that the Buddha visited Sri Lanka! Didn’t do too much in depth research, though, so maybe something you might be interested in looking up! 😊
@@sophieandhaydentravels yeah buddha visited three times to Sri Lanka according to history .. Each time he did something special and now people go to those places ..specially monks has built specially temples. One of the place from three visits is "Sri Pada" its famous as Adam's peak.. One of our favourite parts about Asia is the beautiful temples, so we are always more than happy to pay entry tickets when we know that money is going towards keeping the temple clean, and beautiful!
