SSD are great for backing up files that you won't need often because it takes a usb slot. in my case I have no free USB slot, but my laptop can connect a full size SD card so I went for a 256 GB SD card (was on sale), but there are some newer 1 TB SD if you need
@@theivadim I've got an x6 for laptop backup and x9 for running iMovie to save cluttering up the laptop. Trouble is while the x6 is no problem the x9 with all my old iMovie productions has a tendency not appear when I plug it in. It didn't show last night, appeared this morning eventually, and now is gone after lunch. I've left the issue with Crucial's trouble-shooting section. So hopefully I'll get a solution tomorrow. I obviously do NOT want to reformat it even if I could see it.
Your MacBook Air or even a MacBook Pro M series would not be able take advantage of the X10 speed due to its interface. Also unless the Windows PC has a USB Gen 2x2 interface none have this natively, the X10 would be no better than X9.
Macs are equipped with a Thunderbolt port which offers 40 Gbps (4.8GB/s) data transfer rate. That is over 2x times more than necessary to max out the X10 Pro SSD speed.
Do you ever run out of storage space on your computer?🙂
Only every person on the planet and their dog.
Since I'm not using a tower PC, I don't really. I do have all 3 nvme slots of my board populated tho.
@@knodel2378 No more slots available? It appears that the time you'll experience the shortage is approaching swiftly😉
I do...since drone video and 360 videos take a lot of storage per shooting

SD card is also a decent expansion option. I had that in the past on my older MacBook. It was very slow compared to an SSD like this X9 Pro🙂
@@theivadim That's true they are pretty slow!
