- Out again and this time its the border ridge, 50+mph winds test the Hilliberg soulo and it triumphs again!
Hopefully we get a wild camp when there isn't any wind.

Thanks for the mention. Yep 75mph recorded wind and I had the outer closed and inner open. The gust swept through bursting the door open and vacuumed the sleeping bag out 😂 never heard of haha. A great camp chaps and a nice location too. I enjoyed it. Atb Mark.

The Soulo seems a great tent, proven time and time again, the only drawback seems to be the price
I was very fortunate to see the sun in that setting, I believe that’s why we do it! The soulo is a great tent and yes I agree a tad expensive! Even on the second hand market they hold their value 👍
I own a cottage in this area and know it very well. Endless wild camping opportunities but often exposed. Good job you have the Hillebergs.

@@thenorth-facewanderer6965 The Border ridge from Byrness to Kirk Yethollm is a great walk for an overnight walk. It passes the two bothies. As you know, it’s a wilderness up there.
