They began their relationship before either one was married. The fact that their bond has lasted, and strengthened, over fifty years is testimony to their being soulmates. Both were divorced and were free to marry, which they did. They were trying to follow the expectations of the time, which allowed for discrete affairs. It was very sad that Diana was caught in the middle.
I think Charles should step aside from the throne. I've always wonder why his mother at such an advance age remains on the throne, is it to protect the monarchy and Charles? She would live to see the honor given her if she retired, and still have the same privilege as Queen. Is she aware that it's highly possibly that the British Government could easily banish the monarchy, should Charles become King? He has lost every respect given, and he is a prime example that royal blood does not produce dignity. Diana was no angel, but he could have treated her better. He treated her better in death, than he did in her life. The late Diana did not realize that technically, she was the other woman, though married to Charles. His devotion was to Camilla, whom at the time he could not have, but Diana so young, naïve and beautiful fits well into his plan. I strongly believed that he has blood on his hands, but he is well protected.
I believe Charles is too self-centered to put interests of the monarchy ahead of his own.

She liked Andrew who was popular with the ladies but Andrew, as a Roman Catholic, was not a suitable match per Royal/legal rules protecting the Protestant Anglican Church. Anne would have to give up her place in the line of succession. Anne had too much reverence for the monarchy to do that. Camilla remained an Anglican when she married Andrew Parker-Bowles. At the very top of the British monarchy and aristocratic society,, the Anglicans are supreme.

Anne was never a serious contender to the throne. Charles is the oldest child. Anne moved down the ranks when Andrew and then Edward were born due to the rule of male primogeniture, boys before girls. This rule has been changed with William’s kids but it is not retroactive.
It would have been a much more difficult situation for the monarchy if Charles hadn’t had any kids and Andrew had been next in line after him. Given his history as a criminal involved with underage girls and human trafficking it would probably have been the end of the monarchy if he was in line to take over.
Fortunately that is not going to happen as Charles has those two sons and they each have kids of their own.

I don't know your belief system ( if you are Christian). If King Charles III has sincerely asked for forgiveness, then the Lord is merciful to grant forgiveness. Jesus taught us to pray " forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us".I prefer to hope that Diana, at the time of her untimely death, had a moment to ask God for his mercy on her soul. Diana was not perfect and, like all humans, committed her portion of sins.

Usually really love these stories y'all do but I believe some of what was said is misleading info. HM didn't attend the wedding because she couldn't. Not because she didn't want to. As well, both Princess' do still have to curtsy when Camilla is with Charles. So not completely accurate and misleading.

I personally don’t think Camilla is intimidated by anyone even the Queen. Diana didn’t call her the Rottweiler for nothing. She won the prize and she knows it full well.

I don’t think Camilla won the prize. Nor did she appear to want it. There she was, nearly at retirement age. Living happily in the country nearby with her horses and dogs. Lost her looks and her figure. Suddenly the Prince wants marriage. She’s thrust into the limelight. People are openly saying “ She’s no oil-painting, is she!” ‘ “What the heck did he see in her!” And she knows it. She gained nothing by marriage that she wouldn’t have had anyway. She had never been in favour of the divorce. There were no winners here.
Camilla has shown that she can be a good person plus a good worker..I really thought so much of Diana and just hate what happened. Diana was used for heirs, which makes me sad for her. I think it's time to let her rest and let Camilla rest too.
Diana would have had a hard time with Kate and Meghan. With Meghan more then Kate as Meghan was quite known as an actress. Diana was weak!

You know as it turned out Camilla happened to be the perfect match for Charles. They have so much in common and she doesn't try to upstage or overshadow him. I got over it a long time ago regarding Princess Diana. Other than adultery what she ever done or said to be mean to anyone.
Diana went on to have many boyfriends she fell in love with ,Prince Charles and Camilla are still together , and did not marry until years and years later so maybe it is true love .
Both Diana and Camilla have their own reasons. Camilla has no chance to overshadow Charles. She knows and realizes that she does, she would be in trouble. She needs to play safe. Diana looked overshadowing Charles was because she needed to survived from just before she got married to Charles. She struggled how to minggled and at the same time she had had a problem with Charles. She had been very tired of her role being a crown princess with the situation in the royal family especially with the queen who had her as the first daughter in kaw or first new family member who is very beautifull and loveable. She needed to find a away how to enjoy her life. Well at least this what I tried to observe from a distance. I hope Williian and Harry would have strong will and courages to establish strong relationship as brothers. The queen had to be a good example in the royal family. I want William to be the king. . .
