Kate has the support,of her family. Lessons were learned from how Princess Diana.was treated. Where as Diana's family,just wanted a Grandson, that would be Royal. and basically left her out to dry. It's obvious Kate's parents love their children, and they are a close family.

You all call Camilla mistress but the fact is she and Charles wanted to marry but the queen would not let him Merry her she wasn't hi brow enough she sent him off on Navy duties when he got back Camilla had married someone else but she and Charles were still in Love and her husband was a womanizer gone alot..so Charles and Camilla got back together a few years later and thus the mistress thing started.he was married to Dig but things were already going badly .so bye and bye they divorced and Charles and Camilla after a while finally were allowed to marry I don't remember why the queen changed her mind the whole thing is in a couple books I read. Guess you can all figure I am a mistress because if it was me and my husband who I was married to for 58 years and we were in that situation I would do anything I had to to be with him. I lost him 5years ago

Its a life of servitude ,i know everyone thinks its glamour and luxury but when your every move ,thought and action is meticulously observed, spied upon and picked apart. Your every choice has to be thought out so carefully as to the potential reactions and backlash , which explains the self absorbed tantrumous toddler behaviour of some royals...no thankyou. Wealth isnt worth the bullshit of not being able to live a remotely normal life lived they way you want or make...well until Diana and Kate turned up . They are the sole reason potential future kings arent products of a breeding program to ensure an heir of 100 percent royal lines...poor Diana. They have ended the inbreeding and the raising of spoilt selfish offspring that get excused from their poor raising because of their absent parents, duty to the firm and the fact their lives are to represent the crown. Not a particularly happy life i imagine, remember how ,unlike Diana, it was very carefully laid out to Kate what the expectations would be so she could very carefully decide if she could commit to it...not enviable at all

I heard Harry asked two girls to marry him, but they both turned him down. They didn’t want the Royal life. One of them he dated for years-Chelsey. After the wedding they had a long talk-I’m sure it was bittersweet. Meghan seemed more than happy to jump on board until she realized Harry was not King, would probably never be King. She hadn’t realized she had act differently once she was married.

I believe Camilla is an artist of deception. Look how fast she rose ranks, stepping on people as she climbed the ladder, without a second glance. She may have an aristocratic upbringing but she will never have the class or family the Middletons have or the looks.

The tragedy is that Charles dragged his heels when he and Camilla were first involved, mainly because she wasn’t seen as a suitable wife by the establishment at the time and he was actively discouraged from continuing their relationship. So they both ended up in disastrous marriages with other people. Then in his 30’s he was pressurised into finding a suitable wife to have children with etc.
I think one of the main issues for Charles and Diana was the age gap and a lack of common interests to develop and sustain a successful and happy marriage.
It’s so easy to judge others when we are all just trying to negotiate our way through life the best way we can, but our trying isn’t done under the scrutiny of the media and public.
I think Charles, Camilla and Diana are all essentially good people who made mistakes and some bad decisions, as do we all. Hopefully we can all extend the sort of compassion we would all expect for ourselves to all three of them.

Even before I listen to the video I can't see where either Duchess would have a problem with each other. Camilla and Kate can feel comfortable around each other without worrying about anything being repeated. I think they both have been able to come to respect the fact that they just want to do the best for the family. And it's important to be able to trust who's around you in order to develop close and even loving relationship. It's nothing else both of them can admire this in each other. I'm talking about Kate and Camilla and no way did I mean they could trust Megan.

I don't think any of these answers take sufficient account of Charles's obstinacy. If he cared that much about royal protocol, he would not have pursued camilla so tenaciously while still married to Diana. If he has his way, she will be called "Queen".

The Duchess of Cornwall is not a "made-up" title. Charles has been the Duke of Cornwall most, if not all, of his life.
The 'made up title' is 'Princess Consort'. Now that IS a made up title, as it has never been used before

For example, Prince Albert was Prince Consort and not a King Consort because since a King always outranks a Queen, he couldn't outrank Queen Victoria. A King has a Queen Consort, and a Queen Regnant (like Queen Elizabeth II) at most can have a Prince Consort. (BTW, Prince Philip was NOT a Prince Consort since he declined the title. Instead, he was a Prince of the United Kingdom.) Therefore, Princess Consort would be a brand new title that has never been used in the UK and for which there is no need.

Rightly or wrongly the only reason why William and Harry were allowed to marry who they fell in love with was because of the disaster in stopping Princess Margaret, Prince Charles and Princess Anne from marrying who they first wanted too. They learnt their lesson unfortunately William chose well and Harry did not.

I have to say one thing about Camilla. She has not tried to push herself into anyone else's role in the Royal Family. She knew what would be said about her marrying Prince Charles. She quietly and gracefully made a place for herself while supporting Prince Charles in his duties! She hasn't tried to take Diana's place with William and Harry or on the hearts of the people. I believe Camilla deserves respect for her role as consort to Charles. Bless her for finding her place without demanding her place!! She's certainly been a wonderful companion for Charles. He's more relaxed; less stuffy. I believe he will make a better King now than he would have as an unhappy man.
