I would suggest a third option of Pit raiding Viridi and Stealing the Lightning Chariot, but he gets the Final Smash too quick for that to be an option.

Watching Emile play Light Vs. Dark brought back SO MANY memories of when the game was still pretty new and going online for hours and playing with randoms. It was always such a fun time. I really do wish more people were online, though. Last time I checked before this video being recorded, I think there were only 1 or 2 other people I connected with, the rest of the team was bots.
you know, I got into Chugga funnily enough this year (maybe late last year), I knew of him because my little brother who loved watching him over the years but some how I was reccomended his Phantom hourglass first episode when hat first started and while I found it engaging at first it took me a while to really fall in love his style of humor and commentary but I just felt compelled to keep watching! and now I come as soon as I can to whenever he uploads.I can say I'm now a fan! and now occasionally I go back in his Lets play catalogue and binge some of his older ones. the one I'm still watching the xenoblade one (it's long but it really opened my eyes with the amount of stuff I actually missed when I played it back then!) and The Kid icarus one was no exception I enjoyed the series and when I got to the end I realized that it was one of the games he didn't did full coverage at the time which made me sad! but it's surreal to see it come back even though I only watched it a few months ago! Thank You Chugga for all your hard work and content! as someone who only became a fan recently I really enjoyed getting into your content! I really don't watch LPs at all these days but your style and format just works so well for me especially as someone who is busy alot and can't play some of the games you have covered because I may want to work on my backlog or just being busy with life these days and finding time to play games can be hard! glad to finally jump in here! even if it's a few years later than most here!
@@judeterry8579 The Xenoblade LP is definitely one of the biggest moments for this channel, for multiple reasons. It's his biggest series, sure, but he was also had that infection of his that put him out of commission for months. It was a great series overall, and the only reason I own both Xenoblade 3D (with plans to get the Switch version) and XC2 (which I still have to beat the final boss and go back through on NG+).
Chugga was actually off on that. Palutena's Guidance was a thing in Smash for Wii U. The conversations transferred over without any change. In Smash 4, Pit's final smash was the Great Sacred Treasures.
@@lunamaster123 They made adjustments to some of them, so i find this one for Dark Pit a little bit wierd and hilarious, they did have all the voice actors to do it to, as they made brand new ones as well.
I have a laser staff that gave me I think +3 or 4 speed, and petrification +4 or 5 and I think +4 dash attack range When I picked that staff (I would also be on for like HOURS at a time on LVD, so I played with a lot of the same people) they just guarded me when I was on the map. The rail one was the most difficult one for me lol.

Well, if you think about it, once you take out the AR feature, you can literally just change camera controls to a joystick, then use the buttons extra buttons that don't already have a designated use (Like Zr and Zl) and assign controls to those, then just mess around with the location of stuff on screen like Emile did, and then you can get a full workable version for a Switch. And if people wanna get that mad over the lack of the characters on screen, they can do what they did for Smash and have it as a banner on the screen, or off to the side of the screen like Emile did. And I am well aware of the fact that they'd have to fully develop a brand new engine to run it, but the basics of the controls and everything just takes a bit of creativity to see a way around.
I don't think this is a hot take but, I think Antony Del Rio absolutely killed it as Pit AND Dark Pit like, both continue to be one of my favorite character voices in... any Nintendo game, really

Interesting factoid about the Palutena’s Guidance on Dark Pit in Ultimate, it’s the same one than in Smash 4, yet! Viridi’s voice actress Hynden Walch was not recasted for the game, Dayci Brookshire had to re-record her lines and record new ones, which leads me to this: Pit’s Final Smash in Ultimate is the Lighting Chariot, a thing that Viridi claims it is under her possession, which contradicts this statement, and it’s weird they didn’t change this, considering that Dayci recorded all old lines AND new ones on Viridi.

The announcement of multiplayer with Emile made my Kid Icarus Uprising Cartridge revive itself and my stealth claws were ready to unlock some new achievements! I was pretty good at the battle Royale placing in 3rd every round (mainly because my claws had Freezing +4 so I’d just freeze them from short range and melee them to a frozen death) but Light versus Dark was very difficult. Either way, it was good fun and I’m glad I got to experience, all thanks to you Emile!

@SoloLazo Circle Pad Pro, I couldn't get one when I was younger. But I don't want to buy something for me to enjoy a game, it should honestly be a setting in the options
Two things: 1) Ranged weapons were a nightmare to deal with in 1v1 if you used Warp, *especially* on open maps like Windy Wasteland and the Rail Temple in particular because you could circle camp around the massive pit in the middle and use the grind rails escape. The reason Warp was so good is because you could Warp to safety whenever an enemy got close. As if that wasn't enough, *you could even Warp out of Petrifacation and Freezing* . This can lead to some pretty nutty moments like this one time when I was frozen by my friend and he came over to get in some melee attacks, but then I Warped away and ended up behind him and I nailed him with my Palutena Bow. 2) I'm not sure if you picked up on this because you didn't seem to make any reference to it, but Palutena says that Magnus lost a child to the Underworld and that he and Gaol are old friends. Then, when Gaol is defeated he kneels by her side and says "I'm sorry it had to come to this". The implication is that Gaol was the Mother to Magnus's child, and that made weak by her grief for the lost child, Gaol and Magnus fell out and Gaol turned to the Underworld. However, what's really strange is that later in Chapter 18, we see a young girl all on her own, and this same Chapter also sees the return of Magnus. I wouldn't think too much of this on its own, but in Chapter 10 Hades makes reference to a girl who lost her parents and implies that he killed them, and the graphic on the bottom screen shows a girl that looks uncannily similar to the girl from Chapter 18. I don't know if there is a connection between Magnus and the girl, but I'd live to hear your thoughts.

I haven't read the article or played persona (any of them) but I can't help but I feel like a lot of game journalism complaints boil down to people wanting games to be taken seriously as an artistic medium but also not wanting games to be held to real artistic standards. People can't really complain in one breath that games need to be taken seriously as an artistic medium and, in the same breath complain when gaming journalism brings up something that, in any other medium, would be a potential issue that should be brought up. Again, I haven't read the article nor have I played persona and, judging from how much people seem to like the series it's probably not a big deal (I haven't seen it brought up before). I'm also not trying to call you out specifically, this is just an annoying and intellectually damaging trend I've seen, especially among the "gamer"* and "gamergate" crowds. * Personally, I think gaming is way too broad and ubiquitous to form a cohesive group identity around. Still, I can't help but see gamergate as an attempt to form "gamer" into an identity, a misogynistic, racist, reactionary, and toxic identity but an identity. I've seen similar trends in the comic book, star wars, and star trek (especially funny with star trek considering every star trek show has at least attempted progressive messaging) fandoms as well, so it's not isolated. I think there's an odd thing with what were once considered "nerd" mediums where people felt like their preferred medium was not given the artistic recognition that the medium deserved in popular culture. "Nerds" also had/have a view of themselves as being something of an oppressed group (to be clear, "nerd" representation in popular media was bad before the mid to late 2000s but, even if being a "nerd" hadn't become socially acceptable, "nerds" aren't meaningfully oppressed; no one really beats up "nerds" or pays them less and there's no mass unemployment or anything). The mid to late 2000s and 2010s also saw a rise in both progressive politics that had/has the goal of helping those who suffer from oppression in one form or another. A reactionary movement formed to combat this progressivism, as it always does when progressive politics gains significant vocal support. Unfortunately, a seeming majority of self-proclaimed nerds and fans of nerd media are white and creators of the media have predominantly been white straight cis men. This made it easier for the reactionaries to court the growing "nerd anti-oppression" movement (under the various banners such as gamergate or comicsgate/comicsand diversity etc.) than for more progressive ideals to take root. Thus, the general desire for artistic merit but a fandom zeitgeist that seems to actively oppose most attempts to actually understand what "nerd" mediums are saying, especially the attempts with the biggest audiences such as large youtubers or journalists. This isn't universal (gamergate, the hashtag, seems mostly dead, even if its ideas aren't) and many good voices have been challenging the reactionaries but it is a common problem. I'm sorry for the long comment, this is just a big trend I've noticed for a long while that I'm sick of dealing with and disappointed in nerds (I once considered myself a nerd, I still enjoy mostly nerdy media but it's not something I self-identify with). Just for full-disclosure, I am straight white cis Male, no part of my personal identity would be attacked by the reactionaries. Also, challenging the ideas presented in nerd media as "political" is not injecting "politics" into something "apolitical", all media is political, always. Maybe not as politically explicit as something else but political nonetheless. Again, sorry for the long comment I am absolutely not trying to call you, specifically, out.

Watching Emile play Light Vs. Dark brought back SO MANY memories of when the game was still pretty new and going online for hours and playing with randoms. It was always such a fun time.
I really do wish more people were online, though. Last time I checked before this video being recorded, I think there were only 1 or 2 other people I connected with, the rest of the team was bots.
you know, I got into Chugga funnily enough this year (maybe late last year), I knew of him because my little brother who loved watching him over the years but some how I was reccomended his Phantom hourglass first episode when hat first started and while I found it engaging at first it took me a while to really fall in love his style of humor and commentary but I just felt compelled to keep watching! and now I come as soon as I can to whenever he uploads.I can say I'm now a fan!
and now occasionally I go back in his Lets play catalogue and binge some of his older ones. the one I'm still watching the xenoblade one (it's long but it really opened my eyes with the amount of stuff I actually missed when I played it back then!)
and The Kid icarus one was no exception I enjoyed the series and when I got to the end I realized that it was one of the games he didn't did full coverage at the time which made me sad! but it's surreal to see it come back even though I only watched it a few months ago!

@@judeterry8579 The Xenoblade LP is definitely one of the biggest moments for this channel, for multiple reasons. It's his biggest series, sure, but he was also had that infection of his that put him out of commission for months. It was a great series overall, and the only reason I own both Xenoblade 3D (with plans to get the Switch version) and XC2 (which I still have to beat the final boss and go back through on NG+).

Chugga was actually off on that. Palutena's Guidance was a thing in Smash for Wii U. The conversations transferred over without any change.

I have a laser staff that gave me I think +3 or 4 speed, and petrification +4 or 5 and I think +4 dash attack range
When I picked that staff (I would also be on for like HOURS at a time on LVD, so I played with a lot of the same people) they just guarded me when I was on the map. The rail one was the most difficult one for me lol.
I was one of those player that used the Eyetrack Orbitars, with the invisible shot, Slip shot and Auto Reticle, it was surprising effective.

Well, if you think about it, once you take out the AR feature, you can literally just change camera controls to a joystick, then use the buttons extra buttons that don't already have a designated use (Like Zr and Zl) and assign controls to those, then just mess around with the location of stuff on screen like Emile did, and then you can get a full workable version for a Switch. And if people wanna get that mad over the lack of the characters on screen, they can do what they did for Smash and have it as a banner on the screen, or off to the side of the screen like Emile did.
And I am well aware of the fact that they'd have to fully develop a brand new engine to run it, but the basics of the controls and everything just takes a bit of creativity to see a way around.

Interesting factoid about the Palutena’s Guidance on Dark Pit in Ultimate, it’s the same one than in Smash 4, yet! Viridi’s voice actress Hynden Walch was not recasted for the game, Dayci Brookshire had to re-record her lines and record new ones, which leads me to this: Pit’s Final Smash in Ultimate is the Lighting Chariot, a thing that Viridi claims it is under her possession, which contradicts this statement, and it’s weird they didn’t change this, considering that Dayci recorded all old lines AND new ones on Viridi.

The announcement of multiplayer with Emile made my Kid Icarus Uprising Cartridge revive itself and my stealth claws were ready to unlock some new achievements! I was pretty good at the battle Royale placing in 3rd every round (mainly because my claws had Freezing +4 so I’d just freeze them from short range and melee them to a frozen death) but Light versus Dark was very difficult. Either way, it was good fun and I’m glad I got to experience, all thanks to you Emile!

This game needs to be remastered for the switch or could he make a new one, it's one if my favorite 3DS game
Two things:
1) Ranged weapons were a nightmare to deal with in 1v1 if you used Warp, *especially* on open maps like Windy Wasteland and the Rail Temple in particular because you could circle camp around the massive pit in the middle and use the grind rails escape. The reason Warp was so good is because you could Warp to safety whenever an enemy got close. As if that wasn't enough, *you could even Warp out of Petrifacation and Freezing* . This can lead to some pretty nutty moments like this one time when I was frozen by my friend and he came over to get in some melee attacks, but then I Warped away and ended up behind him and I nailed him with my Palutena Bow.
2) I'm not sure if you picked up on this because you didn't seem to make any reference to it, but Palutena says that Magnus lost a child to the Underworld and that he and Gaol are old friends. Then, when Gaol is defeated he kneels by her side and says "I'm sorry it had to come to this". The implication is that Gaol was the Mother to Magnus's child, and that made weak by her grief for the lost child, Gaol and Magnus fell out and Gaol turned to the Underworld. However, what's really strange is that later in Chapter 18, we see a young girl all on her own, and this same Chapter also sees the return of Magnus. I wouldn't think too much of this on its own, but in Chapter 10 Hades makes reference to a girl who lost her parents and implies that he killed them, and the graphic on the bottom screen shows a girl that looks uncannily similar to the girl from Chapter 18. I don't know if there is a connection between Magnus and the girl, but I'd live to hear your thoughts.

I haven't read the article or played persona (any of them) but I can't help but I feel like a lot of game journalism complaints boil down to people wanting games to be taken seriously as an artistic medium but also not wanting games to be held to real artistic standards. People can't really complain in one breath that games need to be taken seriously as an artistic medium and, in the same breath complain when gaming journalism brings up something that, in any other medium, would be a potential issue that should be brought up.
Again, I haven't read the article nor have I played persona and, judging from how much people seem to like the series it's probably not a big deal (I haven't seen it brought up before). I'm also not trying to call you out specifically, this is just an annoying and intellectually damaging trend I've seen, especially among the "gamer"* and "gamergate" crowds.
* Personally, I think gaming is way too broad and ubiquitous to form a cohesive group identity around. Still, I can't help but see gamergate as an attempt to form "gamer" into an identity, a misogynistic, racist, reactionary, and toxic identity but an identity. I've seen similar trends in the comic book, star wars, and star trek (especially funny with star trek considering every star trek show has at least attempted progressive messaging) fandoms as well, so it's not isolated.
I think there's an odd thing with what were once considered "nerd" mediums where people felt like their preferred medium was not given the artistic recognition that the medium deserved in popular culture. "Nerds" also had/have a view of themselves as being something of an oppressed group (to be clear, "nerd" representation in popular media was bad before the mid to late 2000s but, even if being a "nerd" hadn't become socially acceptable, "nerds" aren't meaningfully oppressed; no one really beats up "nerds" or pays them less and there's no mass unemployment or anything). The mid to late 2000s and 2010s also saw a rise in both progressive politics that had/has the goal of helping those who suffer from oppression in one form or another. A reactionary movement formed to combat this progressivism, as it always does when progressive politics gains significant vocal support. Unfortunately, a seeming majority of self-proclaimed nerds and fans of nerd media are white and creators of the media have predominantly been white straight cis men. This made it easier for the reactionaries to court the growing "nerd anti-oppression" movement (under the various banners such as gamergate or comicsgate/comicsand diversity etc.) than for more progressive ideals to take root. Thus, the general desire for artistic merit but a fandom zeitgeist that seems to actively oppose most attempts to actually understand what "nerd" mediums are saying, especially the attempts with the biggest audiences such as large youtubers or journalists. This isn't universal (gamergate, the hashtag, seems mostly dead, even if its ideas aren't) and many good voices have been challenging the reactionaries but it is a common problem.
I'm sorry for the long comment, this is just a big trend I've noticed for a long while that I'm sick of dealing with and disappointed in nerds (I once considered myself a nerd, I still enjoy mostly nerdy media but it's not something I self-identify with). Just for full-disclosure, I am straight white cis Male, no part of my personal identity would be attacked by the reactionaries. Also, challenging the ideas presented in nerd media as "political" is not injecting "politics" into something "apolitical", all media is political, always. Maybe not as politically explicit as something else but political nonetheless. Again, sorry for the long comment I am absolutely not trying to call you, specifically, out.

I don't know if the incident is bad or not and, given the near universal praise for persona I've seen, it probably isn't an issue. My issue is with the general disdain for gaming criticism "gamers" (see original comment for why I dislike gamer as a term) seem to have when it comes to matters like ableism or representation in games. I'm not going to defend that particular article, I don't know anything about persona and have no perspective on the subject yo inform any argument. Maybe it's justified, maybe not. Given the fan reaction to the game, I'm likely to conclude that it's unwarranted criticism but I've seen completely justified criticism get outrage from fans and completely unjust criticism get praise. My complaint was not meant for this particular instance, rather, it was meant for the trend as a whole.
I'm sorry if I'm coming across as annoyed and I will read the article in question if you send it. I'm not annoyed at you or the original person I was responding to, I'm annoyed at the trend. I also don't mean to be dismissive, I get why people can find bad criticism annoying, I really do. That's actually why I left both my original comment and this one. I just think that a lot of the criticism of gaming journalism and gaming critics is completely unjustified (but again, I know nothing about this, particular, incident, I'm only speaking on the broad trend as a whole). I don't mean to call anyone out just give my thoughts on something I see as an issue and has been bothering me for a while.
