Hello Johnny. I have decided to watch these south-west videos at the rate of one-per-day. You give us so much information and so much scenery that it takes me a long time to absorb it all!
You mentioned Watergate Bay could have been seen better from a double decker. I was lucky to catch the one double deck journey a day, which never lasted long via the full route (Crackington Haven etc) as they soon altered it to use the A39 direct. Can only assume it encountered tree problems sometimes.
You were lucky to get a decker on the 11, about the only journey it ran on as east of Bodmin there is a low bridge at Parkway Station, so bus had to be swapped in Bodmin both ways.
Brilliant video as always!! Great scenery and loving all the history. Hope all is well, wishing you all the best and happy new year for 2025, take care
Yes - you'd need to be a King to afford the entrance fee! I suppose the high entrance fee is a good 21st century way of repelling too many attackers! you're going to be busy now, as the programme is to release three of these a week for the next three weeks!
Tintagel Castle was mentioned on one of my first ever English school textbooks at the time I was still learning the language itself and kind of intrigued me to visit (indeed £24 is on the pricey side) That is an impressive piece of coastal area which is definitely worth a visit.
@@enricomonti156 Yes. I do recommend the visit. As i say in the video, Tintagel is worth a visit even without walking around the castle or going in the "King Arthur" trinket shops. Boscastle is lovely too. Thanks so much for watching part two 👍
Yes, validity of the Cornwall Day Rider does begin in Hartland - and on any cross county border Transport for Cornwall bus including Stagecoach Bude to Okehampton. I actually did that a few months ago- on a Hartland to Mousehole day journey.
Loving this series, Johnny! It’s been a long time since I’ve visited Devon and Cornwall. Most of my visits to the UK are spent in either the southeast or up north. Looking forward to Day 3 and beyond.
Thanks - I hope you enjoy the whole series and it acts as a little window into the beauty of the South West's lovely coastline. Thanks so much for watching along 👍

Another great video, love your laid back style 😂 Cornwall Day Rover at £7.50 is one of the best value tickets around considering what you get to see.

The 96 bus does run all year round. Maybe the timetable changed in July, but there would have been a service running.

You have to be careful with the Rock ferry. In low tide it goes from a point very much further north than Rock.
