  • Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has picked a new foreign minister, who has not been named. Mr Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara resigned after losing his deputy prime minister portfolio in a cabinet reshuffle. Mr Thavisin has also relinquished the finance minister portfolio, appointing his advisor Pichai Chunhavajira. The 75-year-old had recently quit as the chairman of the Thai Stock Exchange. Overall, there has been a lukewarm reaction to the cabinet reshuffle. Analysts and citizens said the moves are minor and will not have a significant impact on public confidence. May Wong reports.

If CCS, OYK, or KS from the PAP is not selected by LW as DPM, they should defect and threaten a motion of no confidence to topple LW's Cabinet immediately after swearing in.

With his trickle down economics, regular thai people would only suffer more, while on paper GDP would grow

@@mingzmings88 thai education system is extremely poor quality. invest more in the people, like singapore. that is the first requirement. make foreign companies invest in thailand because of the labour quality, not for tax subsidies, which are unsustainable.
secondly, thailand is full of corrupt monopolies, big families (like korean Chaebols) controlling 90% of the economy. the government should tax them properly and provide tax relief to small and medium size businesses. that will also incentivise SMEs to actually pay their taxes. currently only a small part of the population pays tax, and because of that they get no or poor quality public services and welfare.
this country is still a feudal society. I can list many more things, like land reform, which many countries have gone through but thailand hasn't.

DPM as Foreign Minister? sounds dubious in the first place. could have been a tactic to keep him out of the country.
