it was possible to select more as seen on the screen by zooming out and then select all or whatever you want - but this was cumbersome, indeed. Now, with „select all below“ this does make much more sense and is a long awaited feature for me!
This is fantastic… I literally was looking for a feature like this when I had a long scrolling document and wanted to add a thought further up the page… this way I can push everything down
A nice feature in the "other" list was when you have auto contrast set. When you select the PDF menu, it indicates in the menu whether it has currently chosen 'on' or 'off'.
This is great work Voja to get the corrected video out so quickly. Btw I remember when you visited the remarkable HQ a little while ago and they mentioned about making improvements to enhance the work flow, do you think they meant it? As based on the latest software release, it looks like more of run of the mill update, a software release with small changes.
I have no idea. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and think that 3.15 was already planned a long time ago, and doesn't reflect what they have in mind. However, if the 3.16 is yet another lackluster update like this, that keeps ignoring existing issues of the platform, then that would be a strong indication to me that they intend to continue in the same direction as before.
After inicial confusion, similar to yours, I discovered that I have to hold the line. Yeah, a bit incomplete instructions. But I think the feature is also incomplete in some way. What if I want to select everything above or everything below in just part of the screen which was marked by the line. That would be even more useful.
It's often the case that people well versed in something can make the _'assumption'_ that people know something you haven't told them... you wouldn't expect a company like reMarkable to do that but only novices. As many, I come across it all the time when following someone's _[a small channel's]_ tutorial on TH-cam regarding a technical issue, but less so with established companies.
@MyDeepGuide you had made a best eink tablet comparison video. I am unable to find that. Back then I was not ready for a buy. I now need to get one for taking notes and reading. Can you guide me to that video please OR What is your 10 - 11 inch recommendation in 2024?
Thanks for the update! Stupid question: myself and some others on Reddit have struggled with drawing dots on the RPP (such as above i’s) since tapping the screen results in a minuscule mark. This hasn’t been an issue for me on any other eink tablet. Some get around it by drawing tiny circles, but that gets old fast. Have you seen any differences in 3.15 (or future betas)?
Хвала Воја, сад питање, шта је по Вама бољи избор RPP или Note Max? Не знам како ће се RPP понашати са мањим екраном и великим свезкама за белешке, због тих разлога и страха од лага све више нагињем ка Note Maxu.
More interestingly, the beta version actually had proper wording for this, so that’s how I found out how it works. Didn’t realize they messed up the main release 😮
@ThePianist51, absolutely agree) Tested just on mine RMPP , and it's pretty fast and easy to draw a very small part (yes , 1 cm) and then press, and the same result would be achieved as compared to drawing all the way to the other side. Once you know that, it saves just a bit of time)
I want to see a function that if i circle something with the marker it automatically fills the inside of the word or part it marked, right now if i want to mark a longer sentence i have to draw for like 30 seconds and during taking notes this is horrible and wastes so much time
Also i want to see a battery limiter for charging for all devices and the pen of the pro. Meaning it won't charge over 80% or 85% to extend the health of the battery, same with the marker.
@@Nekotaku_TV I treat my RM like a notepad, where I write one page, swipe to the next, and continue writing. The RM scrolling isn't terribly responsive (like any other e-ink device) and I don't want to continue writing downward. Older firmware (before endless scrolling) allowed me to swipe once to go to the next page without accidentally scrolling down or zooming in/out as often. Now I need to swipe twice to get to the next page, and sometimes trigger scrolling down / zooming accidentally (which didn't happen before). If I could set it back to that, it would greatly improve my experience with the device.
@@Nekotaku_TV The whole point is it consistently gets triggered from my hand moving on the screen. I'm assuming the new swipe functionality is necessary for the vertical / endless scrolling because they were implemented at the same time.
You can still select a lot by zooming out, but this is easier and you couldn't do everything if the page was longer than you can see zoomed out. Was hoping you'd test what I commented under the last video, the fact that you don't have to draw a long line, can be super short and it'll still work. It's really useful to me. reMarkable not including the full action in the description is dumb. Why are you working 17 hours!? Not good. orz
Well certainly not by choice, but by pressures of external deadlines. Soon it should be done, and I can start "enjoying" shovelling snow on a daily basis 😁
I understand why you deleted the older video but I almost wish you left it up as accountability for reMarkable -- your mistake was entirely understandable; the instructions as written would *not* let you see the new feature. also I can't believe they added something as confusing as this but after this many years still can't add shape generation tools.
Well, I kept both, so the updated video contains the moment of confusion, shown as I originally experienced it, but then I added the correction to also show how to correctly use the feature. So I tried to keep both elements contained in one video.
Thank you, but some people were starting to draw conclusions that I was lying and intentionally misrepresenting the functionality. I try to keep emotional distance from such people, but as I am extremely exhausted, I've found myself being affected by such insinuations, as they are extremely unfair. Also, when viewers explained how the feature was actually supposed to be used, I thought that it would be important to cover the feature completely, and there I do agree with the criticism. And as I expressed in the video, normally, I would have investigated this and would have shown how to use the feature. So, I felt that I needed to fix this and offer a more complete coverage of this in a single video. Thank you for the support :) It means a lot :)

The video and the features presented looks and sounds good!)
Instructions were certainly incomplete! Great to have such a quick update and see all the use cases.
Same thing happened to me! Thanks for the update.
Thank you for showing this feature. I appreciate it.
Thank you for all you do!
you can also draw a short line - no need to draw a line from left to right (with the selection tool) :-)
If they add digests , to do list , calender and emails this is all i want
thanks Voja for showing how it works!
I agree, because I could not get it to work and I was annoyed but went on (now on 3.16 beta). It was confusing on the release notes, that I agree.

@MyDeepGuide thanks for your response 🙂
Wishing you a lot of success with your video game release, Voja!
Thanks!😁

I'm still struggling with my self if I should update to the paper pro or not. I'm quite happy with my RM2 but color and a bigger screen could be nice

Sorry for the long workdays, been there. Anyone who blames you for an honest mistake needs a reality check.
Thanks, I had the same hiccup.
It's not you or your schedule - I could not figure this out for the life of me based on the release notes alone.
Looks like a good feature to have. I hope it can emulated on other devices and isnt patented.
More interestingly, the beta version actually had proper wording for this, so that’s how I found out how it works. Didn’t realize they messed up the main release 😮
They improved it, I guess?
8:00 Dear Voja, drawing a only 1 cm long line is enough to trigger the function. 😶🌫️

I want the option to turn off the endless scrolling. I hate it so much for what I do
How is it a problem?

I think you're being too harsh on yourself. The instructions from Remarkable were incomplete. At least we now know how it works, thanks

i thought we are on 3.16 now
@rush48192, I think it's (3.16) still BETA?. 3.15 is the "latest General Availability (GA) release"
It's not your miss you didn't try to draw and hold. They said draw a line - you drew it.

Yeah but you should do more testing, and he usually does.
You're right, I do and I should have done here from the get go. Well, I am pushing myself to the limits, and I guess I've found some in this area :)
I loved the end result and how it was presented. It truly represents what people would deal with.
