@@SheWhoDaresWins I don't mean it in the way that you think. I've been working in construction in the UK for over 15 years, prob more. It's a bit more difficult. You have to have your machine tickets and these cost money. You will usually be required to pay for these yourself before a company will give you a job. Some companies will take you on as a labourer then help you cover the cost for the ticket, but only if you promise to stay working for them.

Hi, I'm an Indian civil engineering diploma holder(3 years diploma), with 15 years of experience. How can I find a job in UK? What should I do to get a job there?Thank you for your video
I studied civil engineering over 20 years ago, I have worked for contractors & agencies, assistant, junior, grad positions, worked for land surveying companies as well. The Industry and it's ruthlessness has not changed, a few points your not including which need to be. If your fresh out of college or uni, unless you get a placement you'll struggle, efficiency is the operative word, no experience no job, most companies use freelance engineers/surveyors, who are employed mostly by recruitment agencies, you can't set out you'll struggle, got no experience you'll struggle, no smsts card, or ssst card or first aid, even if you have a basic cscs you'll struggle fact !!! Most jobs are agency even if your prepared to do labouring or groundwork you will struggle, no experience ! No job I no longer work in the industry I took a break trying to get back is a struggle, site engineers now are like chickens teeth
I completely agree, experience is paramount. It was so hard for me at the start and I hear the same for so many others. I think an apprenticeship is the easiest way these days. For graduates, I think it's even harder. No degree comes with onsite experience and book knowledge only gets you so far. Still, the UK has a labour and engineer shortage and with foreign workers returning home I think its still a good time to try and get in.

Thanks for your video. I play the Banjo, can I have a job XD
How can I do it as a heavy equipment operator / skilled trade not engineer
It's a bit more difficult. You have to have your machine tickets and these cost money. You will usually be required to pay for these yourself before a company will give you a job. Some companies will take you on as a labourer then help you cover the cost for the ticket, but only if you promise to stay working for them.
Why for foreigners? Why not young Brits(all ethnicities)? I'm 2nd & 3rd Gen immigrant. Our youth are being neglected; in favour of someone you have to tell 6 different synonyms so they can try to understand you, then you have to use Google translate to no avail; it's not isolated it's on most sites now

@@Bringon-ij4qi Hi Thomas! They're not upset, actually, they are more ever-supportive. They even allow me to take an official leave with pay while looking for work here in the UK. It is just they want me to grow as a person and as a professional. This is also my goal, I love the weather here, I like the people, and I love the way the British people build. Environmentally-friendly builds, you always connect nature into the structure. Yea. So I'm excited to work with you all someday, hopefully. :)
@@Bringon-ij4qi Thank you! Been helping the country for almost 7yrs now. Helped a lot of interior and poor communities access to potable water, link to the main town by building roads and bridges, and shelter for them. Whatever knowledge i would acquire here is for my home country also. Thanks for some insights. Keep safe!☺️

I'm Akshay how to work civil Foreman job in uk how to join
Halo
No job
I no longer work in the industry I took a break trying to get back is a struggle, site engineers now are like chickens teeth
