Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. For many of us, operations is where it's at in this hobby. Check out the NMRA OpSIG for more on ops.

A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout and run a few operating sessions with Form 19 train orders, though I don't believe mine will be quite as large-scale or detailed as this.

Thank you. The NMRA OpSIG is a great resource for model railroad operations, including Time Table and Train Order ops.

You have a great layout! I'd love to be an operator on it; unfortunately I live 2000 miles away.

Question, the color of ballast the C&S used on the main line looks like buff color? Since my UP Boulder branch crossed at grade at Valmont and I use the C&S main to complete my loop want the ballast to match.

C&S mainline ballast was very close to white in 1958, especially under the strong Colorado sun in the summer. My current recipe (suppliers have changed over the 30 years of building) for main ballast is 3 parts AZ Rock & Mineral PRR Lt Gray 1052 + 1 pt AZRM 2012 + 6 pts AZRM White Marble 1322. For sidings I leave out the AZRM White Marble 1322.
