Stock Video Sales Report - November 2023

- This is my stock video sales report for November 2023. This is just what I made on Blackbox and does not include other sales from stock photography. All the clips I show here are my own except for two. The forest fire clip was filmed by Ivan Souza and I curated it. That series has sold a lot. The other is the female plumber which I purchased from Envato Elements to show as an example. Whenever I do purchase clips, I try to purchase from Blackbox contributors.
Lately, I have been feeling that I don't have new or unique information to report. I continue to see sales in drone travel clips, establishing shots, model shoots, environmental themes, and time lapses.
I am now going to start making videos of me on shoots, showing the best clips I upload, then reporting (months or a year later) what clips from each shoot/batch sold - if the shoot was a success or failure. I hesitate because I feel I am less qualified than others to showcase a shoot. On the other hand, viewers can see ways to improve and offer tips/feedback in the comments - I would never be offended by constructive feedback.
Please like and subscribe if you found this video helpful or if you want to see future clips of sales reports and behind the scenes of specific shoots. I will also review equipment now and then and delve into post processing and keywording.
I value all feedback and respond to all serious comments. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Boyce, you are one of the very few stock video producers out there who are not afraid to be transparent about sales, clips sold and what to shoot in the future. ReelLife Stock Video is the no1 channel for aspiring stock footage producers to check out. Thank you so much for sharing and giving us inspiration - and MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW (stock video) YEAR! / Tomas from Sweden.
This is very kind and means a lot to me. Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Thanks Boyce, looking forward to your behind the scenes videos... Merry Christmas !!!
It is giving me extra motivation to try something new.
BTS is a great idea. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience
Thank you for your kind support, Yuval.

🎄🎁 have a great 2024!
Thanks again Boyce great stuff keep it coming 👍
Appreciate your kind support.
Always looking forward to seeing what new information I can learn from your videos. Happy New Year Boyce and best of luck going forward.
Thank you. Happy New Year to you too. I’ve been following the work you do on your boat. It’s fun to follow the progress and challenges. It’s something I know nothing about so I learn as well.
Thank you so much Boyce. I believe sharing what's selling for you is very useful, especially to beginners like myself. At the moment I am just uploading whatever I shoot for my travel channel just for the sake of optimizing time and because I have no clue of what sells best. So thanks for sharing what sells for you! I appreciate it, as it gave me a few ideas. On another note, I made my first sale, a clip (a whopping 3.92 USD) and a subscription of 11.25, ) So exciting!! Thanks for all your help! I am struggling to find curators though. Many of those who replied to my messages on the FB group ghosted me after an assignment. If you know about anyone that may be interested please let me know. Thanks a lot again!
Many people will not follow through for curation. It is a problem. I recommend Matthew Bell. You can find him on the FB group. I think he can help you. Thanks for watching and congratulations on your sales. Nothing wrong with travel clips.
@@boycefitzgerald Awesome! thank you so much! :)
Thanks for sharing Boyce. I think your BTS intentions will be helpful and popular.
Thanks for your kind encouragement.
Great overview, Marry Christmas Boyce
Merry Christmas to you as well. Thanks for watching.
And Marry Christmas to you and your family!
🎄
Thank you!
Thanks again for sharing. My experience matches yours. I'm lucky to live in a state capital so there's a lot of activity around that. About 60% of my sales are establishing shots. I'd love to see you behind the scenes on astral photography.
For sure I will do that. It’s my favorite.
Milky way time lapse is very good. I love it. What camera did you take it?
Thank you! That one was with a Sony a7s - I traded a drone for it. It’s 10-years old but still amazing for time lapses and astrophotography. The lens is a Loxia 21mm f/2.8 which is amazing and came with the camera.
@@boycefitzgerald Thank you!
Hola Boyce, it will be great if you do a "behind the scenes" of a model shooting. It'll help a lot to other pals... Merry x-mas!
Merry Christmas! Thanks for your comment and support.
Does working with alamy site require a full-frame camera
I use canon d700
Alamy does not require you to have a full-frame camera. I don't work with them directly. But I have read their guidelines. They check the EXIF data in your images and confirm that the camera has at least a MFT sensor. The Canon d700 is great for images and video and it has an APS-C sensor (which is larger than an MFT sensor) so you do meet their requirements. Here is a link to their general camera guidelines:

Thanks for watching and good luck selling stock images and video.
