I love your disclaimers in the beginning about the “meals” and about how reading the Bible doesn’t save us. It shows the true intention of this video and your heart, not to just get people to look like cute Christians, but to inspire people to love and know God through the word!❤❤❤
Getting in the Word is a discipline, but so very worth it. You're so right, it is like food! Our daily bread we can't live without. Love this video! I heard someone say once, "You don't have to 'feel' close to God to be close to God", and that's always stuck with me. So whether we feel that "fire" or not, we know that He is always with us, he never leaves us nor forsakes us. We can't lean on our feelings because they aren't God.. God is God! :)
This was actually very helpful. Reading the bible can get so overwhelming and I like the food comparison that you gave, lets make every quiet time count as much as we can.

Along with other versions to avoid starting with, one translation I would honestly avoid altogether is the Passion Translation. It's not a translation, it's not even a paraphrase like The Message. TPT is written by one author as if the Bible is written by one person, and there's a lot that's added and rewritten. Just as you can't pick and choose what you want to believe from the bible, you can't make God's truth your own truth and take it out of context.
This was so helpful. Thank you so much for this video. Something that helps me to read the word is starting my morning off with worship music a bit loud. That may look like making my bed, coffee and morning routine before I get into the word. That has helped me so much. Thank you for making this video it helped me out so so much. Could you clarify how we need to repent of sin to get to heaven but salvation is through Jesus and not works? A little confused at that part I thought it was through belief in Him and the fruit of our salvation is through good works but not TO get saved. Blessings

Well Jesus Himself said Repent and Believe the Gospel so that is what she probably means.
