I really hate that they don’t credit. I saw a Gacha reaction video and they were “reacting” to an animation and I really liked it. I went to the description so I can see the original video but it wasn’t there. If I was one of those creators I would have been so annoyed. I ended up finding the original video and it didn’t get nearly as much videos as the original.
my stupid brother only watches them for the original video and when I say to watch the original video because it will support them he is like "shut up"

Well, should you really be reposting another person's work without their permission? Credit is good and all but most reaction creators don't ask if they can repost the meme in their video. Some videos get 3 times more views then the actual meme
My biggest problems with these type of videos is that their personality’s almost never match the actual show, game or other. And certain faces and reactions really tick me off.
I never understood the "characters react to videos" thing. Never in my life. Like, how did they came up with this? They get away without crediting people? And the worst part is that, fandoms, not OCs.
The Best Part I do if I did a reaction video was by these rules: 1: Always credit the original video by putting a link down below 2: Try and put more effort into your video by thinking throughly on what character should react in some parts 3: It doesn't always have to be Fandom Characters instead do something different like an underrated Fandom for example or Ocs 4: Ask permission in case you don't see the "This is free to use in reaction videos" otherwise you might get striked

The things that annoy me are: 1. When they don’t credit anyone and the video is either too blurry to see a watermark or their just isn’t one at all. People work hard on those edits are deserve to be credited for making them not to mention some people might really like the edit and want to find it themselves and they can’t. 2. When the characters don’t act cannon at all. I see why people watch reactions, sometimes they see something shocking in a story and they can’t wait to see how people would react to it but it might be some deep dark secret that won’t ever be revealed so how else do you get to see it besides reaction videos. And I understand people won’t know exactly how a character would react. But it is so frustrating when a character acts so out of character that it literally can’t be excused. Or they change the character for the sake of a ship 💀 3. When there’s barely any screenshots, almost no reaction, and nothing happens. I’ve seen video where I’ll click through the reaction and literally nothing changes for almost the entire video. I understand videos can be difficult and I’m not hating on them at all, to each their own. But if you want people to be engaged, you have to put in *some* effort at least. It’s crazy when there’s some massive reveal and the characters are just like “🙂” the entire time and don’t do anything I don’t hate Gacha reactions at all. I’ve seen some that are actually crazy, with hundreds of not thousands of screenshots, character reactions that feel accurate, designs that look stunning and clearly took hours to make. Some people put a ton of effort in and that’s amazing, but I’m not hating on people who don’t. Everyone starts out making cringey videos, no one starts out perfect. Many kids just want to have fun and not be glued to their screen for weeks straight making a single video. They might just want to spend a couple hours and post something simple and get a good amount of views. Either way, I don’t think we should be hating on reactions and saying they’re all bad because most of the time, it’s just children who want to enjoy themselves and make something they like. Y’know?

I remember when these kind of so called "reaction" videos started to blow up I was some what obsessed with them (yeah that's dumb I know-) but slowly I started to just get annoyed by them, since some of them were really dumb and didn't even catch the actual personality of the characters. Then some months ago (some where around Feb or march idk) I was looking at some Rolling girl animation memes for motivation and I came across this video by an animator named Akumuno and the description litterally said "Don't put this in some gacha react video" I felt sad for our community's reputation in other communities like litterally q-q
How to make a good reaction video: Try to keep characters personalities as canon as possible unless it's an AU where everything is different (for example Marinette is the turtle miraculum holder etc.), GIVE CREDIT, make characters actually react and comment about what's happening maybe even make them theorise during watching, don't just kidnap the characters, maybe they got sucked in a portal to an another dimension and instead of "I'll let you out once you react to these" do "I will try and open the portal again if you're bored just watch the videos on the TV"?, don't use the same screenshots, don't do "after they calmed down" and "after a break" too often, instead maybe make them watch something calm and nice as a break.
In my opinion, gacha reactions are ok if they give credit, make the characters actually REACT to the video instead of making faces, and if the personality and reactions of the character reacting are ACCURATE to the fandom. Sure, gacha reactions are overrated but I've actually seen some GOOD reaction videos out there.
I personally don't like these reaction videos all that much anymore. They just basically put their OCs or other characters next to a screen with a video or an animation playing, with some of them acting completely out of character. That's it. And while I'm glad that most of them give credit, the views on the reaction video gets more views than the source material.
I agree. There's so many videos of them just sitting there the whole time and that's it. Ofc there is some reaction videos where they actually have a reaction but that's barely. It _also_ disturbs me that they don't even credit the show or video.
One time my friend's meme got added to these reaction videos. The characters were the PPG and RRB reacting to their memes , and my friend got so offended , like HER WORK got taken for some effortless reaction video. It shows how creators do NOT appreciate their video getting taken WITHOUT their PERMISSION.

gacha reaction maker here! i totally understand! because if this i wanted to start a channel of my own with what i think others will like and with a lot of effort! i always credit the video creators, and would 100% delete the video if the original creator askes me to. i usually ask my viewer what they would like to see get reacted to by their favorite fandom, which i try to find the original creator and check to see if it's okay to use their videos! i also take time to make the characters as accurate to the original as possible, so it's easy to tell who is who (also because i would die if it wasn't accurate). thank you for pointing this out though! some people need to understand to credit and ask permission before using a video that isn't theirs. and to people who are planning to start a reaction channel! please like Flotalendy said, credit and ask for permission! please also take your time and effort into making the characters and the reactions. yes, it may get tiring but it'll be worth it in the end! :]
Things I hate in Bad and Terrible Gacha Reaction : -Every fandom character are like "We got kidnapped by an unknown entity with our friends/enemies/lovers/family etc in the same room...Let's watch memes about us or other fandoms that we don't know about." -Bad Designs or Designs that aren't even canon -Not matching the personality or creating their own personality for that character they don't even owned -Not giving credit to the actual creator and somehow got more views than the video they just stole from the actual creator -Saying "My Au" (That excuse doesn't work to me if your au doesn't make no actual sense in the first place) -Their reaction just stare and blink. They probably use few screenshots just to make this type of videos. And there's always "After they calmed down" thing -This type of video makes zero sense before it was posted.

Gacha reaction videos suck... I like making stories and stuff, but there's no real story in reaction videos... If i do make one, then i either don't put enough dialog or i put too much dialog and everybody starts to complain because that's all they want to talk about rather than how much i put into it, and the Fandom I'm in is the Undertale Fandom and stuff, and i got an alternate universe, but it actually has details and stuff... except the name is not original... i didn't know somebody else had the same name, but i can't really switch the name all of a sudden because i have over 70 videos with that AU's name... Plus, reaction videos are really annoying to make because you not only have to download the video or record your screen or whatever you do, but you also need to watch the video more than once just so you understand what has to happen... and I'm very limited because of that. And we can't forget that because the videos get plenty of views, the toxic bitches are gonna arrive and start attacking... i had to ban a few repeated phrases from my channel because of these jerks. And then my motivation lowers after all that happening... and it stresses me out. I hate making reaction videos, but they're what gets me the most views right now... Some day in the future, my series might get more views, but i don't know when everything's gonna explode. So i just gotta keep posting until i make it there... I'll definitely be past Season 15 by the time season one exceeds 5K views... and if not, I'll be flabbergasted. But now that's all i gotta say... And i dunno if this is a vent or something, but it feels nice to know that there's somebody out there that perhaps dislikes the reaction videos as i do... I was about to this this, "reacting" thing on my previous channel (which is now deleted) where my ocs reacted to MY fanart of them. And I had this idea of where they were randomly thrown into this abandoned movie theater and they're all confused and worried that they were randomly just put into this room. And I also wanted them to be in character and give actual fun interactions between them as well as some creepy things happening in the room since... well... I KIDNAPPED THEM. A fan mine did a Gacha reaction video with multiple fandoms reacting to Rob The Robot animation memes, and they actually put effort, and gave credits. That’s really good! Hmm yeah a lot of reaction videos don’t have a lot of effort in them, and they don’t credit... I’m pretty sure that using others videos without permission could be within fair use guidelines, though it depends on what they are using I don’t really know stuff like that though so I may be wrong, but it would be better to ask permission anyways. But there are a minuscule amount of them that are actually nice, the characters have a lot of expressions and they use gacha only animations (which I find satisfying) Like I saw this one that was actually entertaining and you could tell it took a lot of effort!! One thing that I would actually quite like to see is like a tweened reaction video, how cool would that be!! But it is kinda sad when creators who spend hours on videos get overtaken by creators who put little effort into their reaction videos. In my personal opinion I don’t think reaction videos are all bad I just thing more effort and originality should be put into them... But reaction videos are quite overrated, there is other gacha content you can do, there are tons of tutorials. You can still use characters from different fandoms to make fun little skits or memes maybe even a interesting mini movie!, But that’s not to say people don’t already do these things, there are plenty of amazing gacha creators who make amazing memes, skits and mini movies. I just can’t believe the talent. If people really want to do reaction videos you can’t stop them, maybe it’s just fun for them yknow, maybe try giving them kind advice or advising them to maybe make other types of videos as well. A lot of the time they don't put credits either;and they also are overrated. But there is a small part of these reaction videos that are good! The designs of the ocs, the fact that it's their own AU and their own videos so that they can have their own reaction and have more sense! Well, I tbh have seen one ONE gacha reaction that was an hour long (could never have that much motivtion) and had more then a few ss. That was probably the best reaction I have seen

Hello, I used to make gacha reaction vids and well, I wouldn't say they are not overrated. I've indeed seen very bad ones but I did get to see the good ones as well. It's just that it's hard to find them and it's rare. I use my own vids or TikTok vids if I wanted to make a reaction vid. The credits of the TikTok vids are usually at the end of it so that my viewers can see who made these edits. Most of them are for my AU and I make how they got in the room make more sense instead of the kidnap cliche.
The one thing I always love about these videos is that they play the entire videos with the characters virtually no insight or comments, just their emotions and some small comments here and there and that's pretty muc hit
I prefer when they react to their own video, since the creator doesn't have to credit or ask permission since they made the video themselves and there's usually more reaction and better characters design when they react to their own video.

Also sometimes the character's reactions don't even fit canon! It really annoys me when someone makes a fan video in general and the reactions are canon, and it's always a constant in these videos like whyyyyyyyyyyy
Actually many of the reactions are lazy. They just have scared expressions everytime something bloody shows. ALL of them. Even if that doesn't suit their personality. And they always have the same screenshots and show no moves\dialogues in the lazy videos.
As someone who makes gacha reaction videos I see a huge issue with originality with how the video goes. Most tend to be very bland and its hard to find some that are interesting and new. This relates to them just coming in and being okay with being kidnapped. I saw one video tho that had invitations to the reaction room and the characters went to the location for the reactions. I saw another where the characters were definitely not okay with being kidnapped and it took a majority of the reaction time for them to even be just a little okay. Another issue I see is crediting. While some really well developed and obviously took a lot of time to make videos have credits. Many of the ones that look basic and like they slapped them together dont credit which is honestly horrible. These people who do not put effort or time in their videos, and dont take the time to edit give a horrible rep on the whole of gacha reactions and not all gacha reactions are bad. I found that gacha reactions helped me improve on my knowledge of gacha, but also helped sky rocket my channel to be able to make my original creation. Either way I still see issues like these even 2 years out of this videos post so nothings changed and it’s quite sad.

I remember watching a gacha reaction on miraculous and I was seriously pissed because their reactions were like this the find out who hawkmoth was and they are like shocked for one second and the other second completely forgotten doesn’t make sense to me plus some reactions of ladybug her identity is revealed infront of her enemy,hawkmoth and she is so chill about it same for adrien he finds out his dad is hawkmoth and the other second he’s okay? In the real show he was traumatised because of it and heck akumatized even.
I know this post is 3 years olds by now, but I personally think if someone made their edit on TikTok download-able, it can be used in videos such as reaction videos and you wouldn't need to ask for permission. Not to mention that- it is HARD for a big creator to reply to many comments, not even mentioning the comments asking permission for using the video. It's an obligation to add credits however, and not adding it is basically theft. Saving a tiktok, that's not download-able, via sites that remove the watermark and all is also theft! At least screenrecord the whole tiktok instead of downloading it and not giving credits (since TikTok usually leaves the creator's name in the tiktok after you've downloaded it, which doenst happen via sites)
Stating my answer i want to be honest that GCRV actually made me stay in the Gacha Community, but yes, some doesnt make sense while others do. Like maybe the designs of the characters are a little too much, or because what their suppose to react to doesnt make any sense or no similarities between them, but overall i think GCRV is my saviour-
Actually I've seen some with their original characters (from a series) react, but I think it's only one gacha tuber called "Fairy Tail" if you've seen them before. It's actually the only gacha reactions I would watch. -Other than main OCs reacting to cringe and such if that's even in the same category.-
Don't get me started on the breaks and them telling their viewers to skip half of their video because they got too lazy to add more screenshots to their reaction video
Hi, I know this is an old video but as a gacha react creator, I still wanna give my oppinion on this. I totally agree with most of the things you said. Whenether I put people in the room, I try to make some tention, but if you make too much of a deal about it, it isn't that intresting to watch anymore. I also hate it when people put almost no reaction/time in the characters and just the video itself. I personally try to add as much emotion as needed and try to get the reaction acurate. I also usually spend like a month working on one video, lol. And I also hate it when people don't put credits, look, if you use like 40 videos from tiktok, then it's almost imposible to ask them all premission to use the videos, but then at least credit them. Anyway, that's just my oppinion as a gacha react creator. You will probably not see this since this video is from 1 year ago but yeah..
THIS IS JUST MY OPINION I found the hidden gem of reacting vids: "black family reacts to regulous black" its amazing there is spoilers for harry potter and some cursing and blood (I think I haven't watched the whole thing through in a while just my favorite part of the reaction vid) its incredible and very well done (I agree on the weird gacha reaction logic)
Creator here, or at least someone who wants to create this kind of content! First of all, none of our stuff is original honestly and it’s obvious. When we see someone come up with something original, we most likely would want to create something like that as well because we like their idea. And let’s be honest here, MANY creators don’t create original stuff. For ex many creators have created their version of a 16 shots meme, and honestly I find each version entertaining because every meme of that has their own plot or storyline that matches the music/beat. But for us, we don’t create a glmm or stories well because, that’s not our thing, we create reactions. So yes, we aren’t original, but when you see an original story or for me an original reaction video, I most likely want more creators to make a version of theirs with their own designs and own reactions. Secondly, crediting. Yes, many creators of this kind of content do not give credits unfortunately. Me myself, I put credits at the end of my video. It’s really unfair that people do not give credits when they add someone’s else videos in theirs. So yes, I’m totally on your side for that one. (Something additional) But a lot of creators don’t give credits either, for example you can use a song from girl in red and not credit her and people won’t say a thing, and it’s pretty unfair as well. Third of all, the real effort in our videos. Here’s a simplified list of what we do in order : First we download/record the videos that the characters will react to, create designs for the characters that usually take 10-15 minutes each, take screenshots which are usually 100-400 (average reaction video that has effort), go to the editor app you use and add your screenshots, add your transitions and text for each photo, create a description adding links to the videos contained in your video, save it and export it. As you can see a reaction video that’s actually good has the average effort as any other gachatuber does. And most of these videos have an average of 2k-100k views, my most popular is 40k views. Now for the real question are they really overrated? In my opinion, no I don’t think so. Our most popular topic in our videos are anime creators or fandoms reacts. When you search and look at the top results you can see that the videos there has some effort in it (not talking about the ones who don’t credit) and generally I really don’t think we should compare content creators with others, sometimes reaction videos are up to 20 minutes long. This is my opinion so it’s completely okay if you don’t agree! In fact, I would like to hear you opinions as well. Oh and some additional things, we don’t make canon reactions, in fact many designs of characters have some accessories.

i have made a short 1 minute gacha reaction, and im planning on making another. and i do not just make them have "facial expressions" as a "reaction" i do not really like when people use 5 photos in a whole ENTIRE video, its so annoying and when its basically a compilation video.
1 year late to this- I only watch gacha reactions because I dont have tiktok but I always show them to my friend so she can follow the acc and send me the tiktoks from them since she has the app. So it absolutely urks me when they be posting react vids without creds

I really hate that they don’t credit. I saw a Gacha reaction video and they were “reacting” to an animation and I really liked it. I went to the description so I can see the original video but it wasn’t there. If I was one of those creators I would have been so annoyed. I ended up finding the original video and it didn’t get nearly as much videos as the original.

The things that annoy me are:
1. When they don’t credit anyone and the video is either too blurry to see a watermark or their just isn’t one at all. People work hard on those edits are deserve to be credited for making them not to mention some people might really like the edit and want to find it themselves and they can’t.
2. When the characters don’t act cannon at all. I see why people watch reactions, sometimes they see something shocking in a story and they can’t wait to see how people would react to it but it might be some deep dark secret that won’t ever be revealed so how else do you get to see it besides reaction videos. And I understand people won’t know exactly how a character would react. But it is so frustrating when a character acts so out of character that it literally can’t be excused. Or they change the character for the sake of a ship 💀
3. When there’s barely any screenshots, almost no reaction, and nothing happens. I’ve seen video where I’ll click through the reaction and literally nothing changes for almost the entire video. I understand videos can be difficult and I’m not hating on them at all, to each their own. But if you want people to be engaged, you have to put in *some* effort at least. It’s crazy when there’s some massive reveal and the characters are just like “🙂” the entire time and don’t do anything
I don’t hate Gacha reactions at all. I’ve seen some that are actually crazy, with hundreds of not thousands of screenshots, character reactions that feel accurate, designs that look stunning and clearly took hours to make. Some people put a ton of effort in and that’s amazing, but I’m not hating on people who don’t. Everyone starts out making cringey videos, no one starts out perfect. Many kids just want to have fun and not be glued to their screen for weeks straight making a single video. They might just want to spend a couple hours and post something simple and get a good amount of views. Either way, I don’t think we should be hating on reactions and saying they’re all bad because most of the time, it’s just children who want to enjoy themselves and make something they like. Y’know?

I remember when these kind of so called "reaction" videos started to blow up I was some what obsessed with them (yeah that's dumb I know-) but slowly I started to just get annoyed by them, since some of them were really dumb and didn't even catch the actual personality of the characters. Then some months ago (some where around Feb or march idk) I was looking at some Rolling girl animation memes for motivation and I came across this video by an animator named Akumuno and the description litterally said "Don't put this in some gacha react video" I felt sad for our community's reputation in other communities like litterally q-q

How to make a good reaction video:
Try to keep characters personalities as canon as possible unless it's an AU where everything is different (for example Marinette is the turtle miraculum holder etc.), GIVE CREDIT, make characters actually react and comment about what's happening maybe even make them theorise during watching, don't just kidnap the characters, maybe they got sucked in a portal to an another dimension and instead of "I'll let you out once you react to these" do "I will try and open the portal again if you're bored just watch the videos on the TV"?, don't use the same screenshots, don't do "after they calmed down" and "after a break" too often, instead maybe make them watch something calm and nice as a break.
In my opinion, gacha reactions are ok if they give credit, make the characters actually REACT to the video instead of making faces, and if the personality and reactions of the character reacting are ACCURATE to the fandom. Sure, gacha reactions are overrated but I've actually seen some GOOD reaction videos out there.
I use to make “reactions” videos before, especially the Afton Family but I decided not to make the “reaction” video anymore, I don’t like making it.

I personally don't like these reaction videos all that much anymore. They just basically put their OCs or other characters next to a screen with a video or an animation playing, with some of them acting completely out of character. That's it.

One time my friend's meme got added to these reaction videos. The characters were the PPG and RRB reacting to their memes , and my friend got so offended , like HER WORK got taken for some effortless reaction video. gacha reaction maker here! i totally understand! because if this i wanted to start a channel of my own with what i think others will like and with a lot of effort! i always credit the video creators, and would 100% delete the video if the original creator askes me to. i usually ask my viewer what they would like to see get reacted to by their favorite fandom, which i try to find the original creator and check to see if it's okay to use their videos! i also take time to make the characters as accurate to the original as possible, so it's easy to tell who is who (also because i would die if it wasn't accurate). thank you for pointing this out though! some people need to understand to credit and ask permission before using a video that isn't theirs.
and to people who are planning to start a reaction channel! please like Flotalendy said, credit and ask for permission! please also take your time and effort into making the characters and the reactions. yes, it may get tiring but it'll be worth it in the end! :]

-Every fandom character are like "We got kidnapped by an unknown entity with our friends/enemies/lovers/family etc in the same room...Let's watch memes about us or other fandoms that we don't know about."

-Not matching the personality or creating their own personality for that character they don't even owned
-Not giving credit to the actual creator and somehow got more views than the video they just stole from the actual creator

Gacha reaction videos suck...
I like making stories and stuff, but there's no real story in reaction videos...
If i do make one, then i either don't put enough dialog or i put too much dialog and everybody starts to complain because that's all they want to talk about rather than how much i put into it, and the Fandom I'm in is the Undertale Fandom and stuff, and i got an alternate universe, but it actually has details and stuff... except the name is not original... i didn't know somebody else had the same name, but i can't really switch the name all of a sudden because i have over 70 videos with that AU's name...
Plus, reaction videos are really annoying to make because you not only have to download the video or record your screen or whatever you do, but you also need to watch the video more than once just so you understand what has to happen... and I'm very limited because of that.
And we can't forget that because the videos get plenty of views, the toxic bitches are gonna arrive and start attacking... i had to ban a few repeated phrases from my channel because of these jerks.
And then my motivation lowers after all that happening... and it stresses me out.
I hate making reaction videos, but they're what gets me the most views right now...
Some day in the future, my series might get more views, but i don't know when everything's gonna explode. So i just gotta keep posting until i make it there... I'll definitely be past Season 15 by the time season one exceeds 5K views... and if not, I'll be flabbergasted.

Oh my god. I hate that a lot. The one half of reaction videos actually take effort and time, while the other half is lazy. A fan mine did a Gacha reaction video with multiple fandoms reacting to Rob The Robot animation memes, and they actually put effort, and gave credits. That’s really good! But yeah sometimes reaction videos are boring because they are unoriginal and boring. I agree with you!

Hmm yeah a lot of reaction videos don’t have a lot of effort in them, and they don’t credit...
I’m pretty sure that using others videos without permission could be within fair use guidelines, though it depends on what they are using I don’t really know stuff like that though so I may be wrong, but it would be better to ask permission anyways.
But there are a minuscule amount of them that are actually nice, the characters have a lot of expressions and they use gacha only animations (which I find satisfying)
Like I saw this one that was actually entertaining and you could tell it took a lot of effort!!
One thing that I would actually quite like to see is like a tweened reaction video, how cool would that be!!
But it is kinda sad when creators who spend hours on videos get overtaken by creators who put little effort into their reaction videos.
In my personal opinion I don’t think reaction videos are all bad I just thing more effort and originality should be put into them...
But reaction videos are quite overrated, there is other gacha content you can do, there are tons of tutorials. You can still use characters from different fandoms to make fun little skits or memes maybe even a interesting mini movie!,
But that’s not to say people don’t already do these things, there are plenty of amazing gacha creators who make amazing memes, skits and mini movies.

Hello, I used to make gacha reaction vids and well, I wouldn't say they are not overrated. I've indeed seen very bad ones but I did get to see the good ones as well. It's just that it's hard to find them and it's rare. I use my own vids or TikTok vids if I wanted to make a reaction vid. The credits of the TikTok vids are usually at the end of it so that my viewers can see who made these edits. Most of them are for my AU and I make how they got in the room make more sense instead of the kidnap cliche.
The one thing I always love about these videos is that they play the entire videos with the characters virtually no insight or comments, just their emotions and some small comments here and there and that's pretty muc hit

I prefer when they react to their own video, since the creator doesn't have to credit or ask permission since they made the video themselves and there's usually more reaction and better characters design when they react to their own video.
I 100% agree with you whenever i discover a new anime i always hope that those reaction vids won't reach them but they do😭 and thats what make it worse,im slightly ashamed of my self for making a cringey reaction video before good thing it got deleted

If I were to do something like this, I would use my videos that I’m too lazy to post, so that I’m not stealing another creator’s work and I’m showing videos that the viewers have never seen before.

Also sometimes the character's reactions don't even fit canon! It really annoys me when someone makes a fan video in general and the reactions are canon, and it's always a constant in these videos like whyyyyyyyyyyy

Actually many of the reactions are lazy. They just have scared expressions everytime something bloody shows. ALL of them. Even if that doesn't suit their personality. And they always have the same screenshots and show no moves\dialogues in the lazy videos.

For me what i just do is, make the protagonist and antagonist react to why they're with eachother.
As someone who makes gacha reaction videos I see a huge issue with originality with how the video goes. Most tend to be very bland and its hard to find some that are interesting and new. This relates to them just coming in and being okay with being kidnapped. I saw one video tho that had invitations to the reaction room and the characters went to the location for the reactions. I saw another where the characters were definitely not okay with being kidnapped and it took a majority of the reaction time for them to even be just a little okay. Another issue I see is crediting. While some really well developed and obviously took a lot of time to make videos have credits. Many of the ones that look basic and like they slapped them together dont credit which is honestly horrible. These people who do not put effort or time in their videos, and dont take the time to edit give a horrible rep on the whole of gacha reactions and not all gacha reactions are bad. I found that gacha reactions helped me improve on my knowledge of gacha, but also helped sky rocket my channel to be able to make my original creation. Either way I still see issues like these even 2 years out of this videos post so nothings changed and it’s quite sad.

The one who has watch most of these reactions we can all agree that every reaction is the same there’s nothing special behind it like it’s just the same stuff the same Memes it just depends what fandom it is I don’t know and they’re always have the same reactions like I don’t really know where other people can expect a occluding me I don’t know what we’re expecting from this because the reactions are always the same there’s nothing special behind it so yeah I don’t really think there’s nothing special about gacha reactions not only some of them have bad designs the ships are kind of cringe to or someing even make sense and probably like the messed up part but now really is some of the characters from shows or a game or anything they don’t even act like their personality in the show it’s like making A character but adding some messed up stuff to the personality or some of well most of the characters from shows can also be stereotypical like their personality or anything for example mha Danganronpa and more and it’s also kind of like making a character from a game or show but just adding extra personalities that doesn’t even have anything to do with the character and I don’t think anybody is gonna like you kidnapping them and telling you that you’re not a bad guy like Bro it’s still suspicious-as soon as they say you’re going to react to something they just be automatically come like bro you literally just got kidnapped-
I remember watching a gacha reaction on miraculous and I was seriously pissed because their reactions were like this the find out who hawkmoth was and they are like shocked for one second and the other second completely forgotten doesn’t make sense to me plus some reactions of ladybug her identity is revealed infront of her enemy,hawkmoth and she is so chill about it same for adrien he finds out his dad is hawkmoth and the other second he’s okay? In the real show he was traumatised because of it and heck akumatized even.
I know this post is 3 years olds by now, but I personally think if someone made their edit on TikTok download-able, it can be used in videos such as reaction videos and you wouldn't need to ask for permission. Not to mention that- it is HARD for a big creator to reply to many comments, not even mentioning the comments asking permission for using the video.
It's an obligation to add credits however, and not adding it is basically theft. Saving a tiktok, that's not download-able, via sites that remove the watermark and all is also theft! At least screenrecord the whole tiktok instead of downloading it and not giving credits (since TikTok usually leaves the creator's name in the tiktok after you've downloaded it, which doenst happen via sites)
Stating my answer i want to be honest that GCRV actually made me stay in the Gacha Community, but yes, some doesnt make sense while others do. Like maybe the designs of the characters are a little too much, or because what their suppose to react to doesnt make any sense or no similarities between them, but overall i think GCRV is my saviour-

Actually I've seen some with their original characters (from a series) react, but I think it's only one gacha tuber called "Fairy Tail" if you've seen them before. It's actually the only gacha reactions I would watch. -Other than main OCs reacting to cringe and such if that's even in the same category.-
Don't get me started on the breaks and them telling their viewers to skip half of their video because they got too lazy to add more screenshots to their reaction video

Hi, I know this is an old video but as a gacha react creator, I still wanna give my oppinion on this. I totally agree with most of the things you said. Whenether I put people in the room, I try to make some tention, but if you make too much of a deal about it, it isn't that intresting to watch anymore. I also hate it when people put almost no reaction/time in the characters and just the video itself. I personally try to add as much emotion as needed and try to get the reaction acurate. I also usually spend like a month working on one video, lol. And I also hate it when people don't put credits, look, if you use like 40 videos from tiktok, then it's almost imposible to ask them all premission to use the videos, but then at least credit them. Anyway, that's just my oppinion as a gacha react creator. You will probably not see this since this video is from 1 year ago but yeah..

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION I found the hidden gem of reacting vids: "black family reacts to regulous black" its amazing there is spoilers for harry potter and some cursing and blood (I think I haven't watched the whole thing through in a while just my favorite part of the reaction vid) its incredible and very well done (I agree on the weird gacha reaction logic)

Creator here, or at least someone who wants to create this kind of content! First of all, none of our stuff is original honestly and it’s obvious. When we see someone come up with something original, we most likely would want to create something like that as well because we like their idea. And let’s be honest here, MANY creators don’t create original stuff. For ex many creators have created their version of a 16 shots meme, and honestly I find each version entertaining because every meme of that has their own plot or storyline that matches the music/beat. But for us, we don’t create a glmm or stories well because, that’s not our thing, we create reactions. So yes, we aren’t original, but when you see an original story or for me an original reaction video, I most likely want more creators to make a version of theirs with their own designs and own reactions.
Secondly, crediting. Yes, many creators of this kind of content do not give credits unfortunately. Me myself, I put credits at the end of my video. It’s really unfair that people do not give credits when they add someone’s else videos in theirs. So yes, I’m totally on your side for that one. (Something additional) But a lot of creators don’t give credits either, for example you can use a song from girl in red and not credit her and people won’t say a thing, and it’s pretty unfair as well.
Third of all, the real effort in our videos. Here’s a simplified list of what we do in order : First we download/record the videos that the characters will react to, create designs for the characters that usually take 10-15 minutes each, take screenshots which are usually 100-400 (average reaction video that has effort), go to the editor app you use and add your screenshots, add your transitions and text for each photo, create a description adding links to the videos contained in your video, save it and export it. As you can see a reaction video that’s actually good has the average effort as any other gachatuber does. And most of these videos have an average of 2k-100k views, my most popular is 40k views.
Now for the real question are they really overrated? In my opinion, no I don’t think so. Our most popular topic in our videos are anime creators or fandoms reacts. When you search and look at the top results you can see that the videos there has some effort in it (not talking about the ones who don’t credit) and generally I really don’t think we should compare content creators with others, sometimes reaction videos are up to 20 minutes long.
This is my opinion so it’s completely okay if you don’t agree! In fact, I would like to hear you opinions as well.
Oh and some additional things, we don’t make canon reactions, in fact many designs of characters have some accessories.
I also don’t understand why they are so popular but I do make them because that’s what my subscribers subscribed for so I guess I’m stuck with reaction videos

I’ve actually made a reaction video before and back then I did it for views, I sound so terrible omg, I know now it was wrong but tbh it was rlly fun to make. I also did give credit and I did ask for permission to use their video
i have made a short 1 minute gacha reaction, and im planning on making another. and i do not just make them have "facial expressions" as a "reaction" i do not really like when people use 5 photos in a whole ENTIRE video, its so annoying and when its basically a compilation video.

I only watch gacha reactions because I dont have tiktok but I always show them to my friend so she can follow the acc and send me the tiktoks from them since she has the app. So it absolutely urks me when they be posting react vids without creds
