Fantastic little film, shame the sun wasn't shining. Best thing about Withernsea is few people know it's there so it's a perfect escape for peacefull and quiet summer break.
My whole family lived in withernsea.a lot still do. What a great video. I must come back as my dad is now buried in the cemetery just past the lighthouse. What a great video. Thankyou. Ps I can't believe the erosion. Amd wheres teddy's gone. Loved that club amd pulled many women in there 😆
Looks a little scarred from how i remember it as a child. Just caught a glimpse of the iconic pier. Thought it had been removed. Is the drinking fountain still there?
Its changed a great deal from what I remember we used to rent what was euphemistically called a bungalow but it was a glorified shed, still it was a holiday, Elsan toilet emptied weekly urgh!

I have family who live there and been about 3 times. Impressive seafront.
Although having a of number of caravan sites when viewed from the air it dosent look buried under them like its neighbour Hornsey .

Good control ,nice. Why is there a lighthouse in the middle of the town ?
Because when the lighthouse was built there were no seawalls and erosion was expected to advance very quickly .
