Thank you for the post and greetings from Leipzig. The Minster is one of the most beautiful churches in the country - one of three minsters: Beverley, York and West. In the In the mid 1950s I was a pupil at the Grammar School. In the Minster, I used to be an alter boy, serving at the Communion services and I was also a campanologist (bell ringer).

Although having a of number of caravan sites when viewed from the air it dosent look buried under them like its neighbour Hornsey .

Looks like the cliffs are about to swallow all those plastic buckets.

My grandad had a caravan at Kilnsea back in the early 1960's. Spent many a happy summer there.

Used to really pong at the Beverley end back in the 60s. I seem to recall that the Council fitted deodorant/perfume injectors to mask the smell in hot weather!

My family originated from old Kilnsea (now sadly lost to the sea) and Easington and my great, great, Great grandmother’s maiden name was wright and she was from Welwick. I’ve often wondered whether there was a connection to John and Christopher Wright of the gunpowder plot, but I haven’t been able to find a link yet.

Nothing more likely to make a coastal town look ugly than filling it with white plastic sheds.

Grew up in Welwick, parents still live on Kelk Villas.

My whole family lived in withernsea.a lot still do. What a great video. I must come back as my dad is now buried in the cemetery just past the lighthouse. What a great video. Thankyou. Ps I can't believe the erosion. Amd wheres teddy's gone. Loved that club amd pulled many women in there 😆

Its changed a great deal from what I remember we used to rent what was euphemistically called a bungalow but it was a glorified shed, still it was a holiday, Elsan toilet emptied weekly urgh!

Looks a little scarred from how i remember it as a child. Just caught a glimpse of the iconic pier. Thought it had been removed. Is the drinking fountain still there?

I have family who live there and been about 3 times. Impressive seafront.
