    Adults are some times harder to silent than children. The one's in this safari did really well when the guides told them to be quiet and still. Awesome!

    A nice calm elephant just greeting them by lifting his trunk😁

    • @adam28xx
      @adam28xx 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, in many of these elephant encounters that you see here on TH-cam, the lifting of the trunk as they get near seems to be a kind of "hello" or the equivalent of the Italian "Ciao"!

    The beautifully surreal part was when the elephant passed by. It was like a tree had walked by. I also loved the relieved chuckle at the end.

    I think the Ranger/guides knew this bull well, and knew he was a easy going stable fellow. He was very calm. LUCKY FOR YOU ALL !! He looked to be 40 plus years old. My compliments that you kept your cool in the vehicle. 😱

      Why does the Creator allow women to be raped to death and children to die of starvation as we speak?

    • @drServitis
      @drServitis 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Kathryn Mellor But god says he will help those who are hurting, and yet women die of rape every day, and children die of starvation every day. God was not serious when he said he would help them?

      @Kathryn Mellor ---Then how do you explain this?
      I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. ~Isaiah 45:7

    What does the lifted trunk mean? Was the elephant sniffing for threats, greeting or what? I know a lifted trunk in elephant statues is good luck and a trunk over the horns denotes aggression. I seen one video where a group of men saved a baby elephant and when the group of elephants was getting ready to leave they all raised their trunks as in thanks. Can someone help me, please?

      Screaming Tima - he can smell if foe or friend

    • @WildlifeObsessed
      @WildlifeObsessed 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Screaming Tima - Delighted to share my understandings.
      Lifting the trunk is a sign that he wants to get a better idea of what you are. Their eye sight is appalling. But they have incredible hearing and sense of smell.
      Almost certain, he had picked-up the vehicle's scent, mixed in with he was not sure what. Trunk hanging down is too oriented towards the earth. Lifted to your level and its targeted, focused and directed.
      Trunk up, ears out and lots of noise is good, if darned scary. It's all filibuster and threat.
      Ears out, head down, trunk curled under and a charge - not threatening any more. No joke. He is serious. This is real and outright attack is imminent.
      Go on a Safari - you'd love it.

    • @WildlifeObsessed
      @WildlifeObsessed 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A herd with their trunks up is again, almost certainly, a sign of delight, excitement and that they are all talking to each other and friends in other herds, you may not even be aware of.
      Their voices are at such a low pitch that most human ears cannot pick them up. Such that you might not hear anything.

    This is the biggest elephant I've ever seen! Question: Do male elephants have nipples? At 2:25 I'm pretty certain I saw one as he passed by the Jeep. I appreciated the silence in the vehicle as this majestic animal passed by. There are other videos showing elephant encounters with vehicles that didn't go as well. An elephant actually punctured a private passenger car with his tusk while flipping it over.
