So, what do you think-did I actually manage to pretty this thing up, or is ‘pretty’ just a convenient myth we cling to?
ALSO: I apologise in advance for the wrong note about ten seconds in. Everything that follows is the EXACT. RIGHT. NOTE. Does such a thing exist?

No, but this was brilliant from start to finish!

Didn’t think the Microfreak could sound any weirder or less pretty, but here we are 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Props for pushing the boundaries and making it sound GOOD

This is like the soundtrack to a dream where robots try to sing lullabies.

I'm sorry to have missed this by a few seconds. I shall listen to it later on the recording. Can I be excused that I was watching and listening to Ryuichi Sakamoto: Opus?

I’ve been on the fence about the Microfreak for a while. This makes me want to experiment more and pair it with weird pedals. Great video!

So glad to hear that it got you making something weird. I'd love to hear it for myself one day!

Beautiful cinematography as always! What did you shoot this on?

It's so unusual yet inviting - like watching a mutant pet-unsettling yet oddly charming.

Great question! Sony A7IV with the Sony 55mm 1.8 for the wides and the 24mm 1.4 for the close ups.

Do you have pre-sequenced sections and you play over or do you fully improvise?

Excellent question! Short answer- In this case I did a test run the night before, figured out what sounded good - wrote down (on paper) a general sequence of events/patches and then used that as a base to build on.

I rarely do pre-sequenced sections, primarily due to laziness and general time constraints.
