I love my toon deck especially the magic/traps. I use cards like Hammer shot, Widespread ruin, and trap hole not only as a refference to pitfalls, explosions, and mallets in cartoons, but to clear the field of monsters stronger than mine.

Creepy might not be the right word for blue eyes but for some other monsters that are mostly inferior yet more implicitly threatening. The word "intimidating" or "scary" might be fitting better when it comes to something magnicifent and upfront like Blue Eyes.
I thought this would be eerie or something because I remember even though Pegasus used toons, they were scary because he knew whatever you would play. It was exactly this faccade of childish innocence paired with his cunning and cut throat way of playing that made him one of the better former villains.
Agreed. It's both playful, yet you can kind of hear the lunacy in the background, which reveals itself at the end. Similar to how Pegasus puts on an air of playfulness and good fun, at the end, and even interspersed throughout the duel, he shows his sadistic and borderline sociopathic tendencies.
The perfect theme for Pegasus. It's whimsical and eccentric but also tense and ominous all at once. Plus, the beat sample really gives it an industrial feel that really fits him.

It gives me extreme nostalgic feelings, partly because it has given me so many sweet memories and shaped my childhood in a beautiful way... It's not just a series - and quite obviously - especially not just a kids series... it's about so much more than just a cards game, it's about life and death, divine forces, otherworldly powers, some of them good, many of them shadowy and eldritch, and especially such high risks and high stakes... This duel alone - the duel between Seto Kaiba and Maximillion Pegasus in the duelist kingdom... It's a fight in which one wants to free the abducted soul of his little brother, and the gentle antagonist absolutely destroys him in the most ironic way possible, by using supposedly sweet little creatures, however this is exactly what leads to the banishment of both their souls from their bodies... it's so macabre, so dark and I LOVE IT! It's amazing! And 4Kids absolutely NAILED THE MUSIC!!!!! Throughout the entire series!!!!! (Despite already looking for Yugioh music many times, I have only found out just now that this music actually wasn't in the original japanese series, and that instead, 4Kids composed and created this music, ALL of it, all of the music that was used in the western dub of the Yugioh anime...) Chibi Prussia i dont like 5ds dub .they also didnt release the whole episodes of it and cut some episodes in between .besides the foolish voice acting , they didnt take the show seriously .the show in 5ds was darker than gx and duel monsters .yusei voice actor which is also the voice actor of tristen wasnt good enough to take a big character like yusei with full potential .the show was comedy rather than serious and 5ds wasnt like that. for gx i really liked the show was fun but isnt good enough like the japanese dub especially in season 3 which was ten times better than the english dub and i also think that they changed the theme of the plot to a comedy theme rather a serious theme which i personally liked but that wasnt good enough for me .thats why the japanese version is a winner in almost all the animes .the english dub only good work and also surpassed the level of the japanese dub be it 4kids or funimation was dbz and yu-gi-oh duel monsters only .im sorry for that but that is the truth .they dont take the shows seriously like the official plot of japan . for arc-v i hate the fact that they changed the name of yuzu to zuzu .that is a foolish name to begin with and i watched a clip from arc-v the dub .they didnt respect the plot and also didnt respect the yuya from the gx dimension which is probably the final boss and made him look like a clown in this voice acting .so i expect a fail for these series in english dub which i dont care for that
Basim Micheal 5D's was awesome. I love how action packed the first season was, the Earthbound Immortal arc was amazzzzzzzinnnnngggggg. Greg Abbey was good as Yusei, and the reason that they couldn't dub the other episodes because 4Kids got sued.

And with the episode just airing I couldn’t help but re-watch the episode and realize how much better the character animation is in Yu-hi-oh compared to Luffy. There’s something authentic about the toon monsters that I just didn’t see in Luffy.

I can still hear that creepy as fuck Dark Rabbit's laughter, it haunts me. D: This theme is a banger in the best damn way possible. And if anything, Toon World shows just how horrifying toons can be in the right context. Look at the aforementioned Dark Rabbit; it looks doofy and weak, right? WRONG. It was actually quite a nightmare to take care of, and even that goofy boxing glove attack it had packed one hell of a punch. Then you have the Gemini Twins, the Dark Magician girl toon, the Mermaid toon, the fat egg dragon, the Summoned Skull toon. Every single one of them were incredibly dangerous in their own unique way. And let's not forget the piece de resistance; the Blue Eyes Toon Dragon!
Such a bizarre contrast, most of the players during Duelist Kingdom use terrifying and disturbing monsters while the main antagonist uses literal cartoons.
Kaido can't win now. He is a serious looking (in terms of One Piece standards) dragon vs a toon god. Remember when the Blue Eyes White Dragon tried to kill its toon counterpart? The toon just stretched and dodged the attack. Luffy literally bounced back his blast breath attack. If this was a children's card game, Kaido loses unless Gear 5th's effect last only a couple of turns, or he has some negate effect cards at his disposal (maybe Conqueror's Haki?).
If you listen to the theme song carefully you can tell that they're two playing. On which is more noticeable while the other hides in the background on showing it self near the end.

Those toon monsters always disturbed me, but in a good way (hope that didn't sound creepy >_>). Just the perfect blend of Ren and Stimpy insanity with legitimate danger. I've always loved the things that make you just sit back for a second and think, "What the hell did I do to get myself into this?"

Kaido can't win now. He is a serious looking (in terms of One Piece standards) dragon vs a toon god. Remember when the Blue Eyes White Dragon tried to kill its toon counterpart? The toon just stretched and dodged the attack. Luffy literally bounced back his blast breath attack.
If this was a children's card game, Kaido loses unless Gear 5th's effect last only a couple of turns, or he has some negate effect cards at his disposal (maybe Conqueror's Haki?).
Yeah thats why luffy still got damaged by kaido like for real some of you are acting like hes unbeateble now
If you listen to the theme song carefully you can tell that they're two playing. On which is more noticeable while the other hides in the background on showing it self near the end.

Those toon monsters always disturbed me, but in a good way (hope that didn't sound creepy >_>). Just the perfect blend of Ren and Stimpy insanity with legitimate danger. I've always loved the things that make you just sit back for a second and think, "What the hell did I do to get myself into this?"
