    Hi Yovette I love your painting especially your sea gull something totally different. I live in a town called Swindon in the UK and the nearest sea side town is 63 miles away and yet Swindon is inundated with these birds. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.

      Lol, These birds are everywhere Clive. It's a bit strange that they call them seagulls. But I understand why. You take care to my friend, talk to you next time.

    Yovette I love the seagull you created with WMO! Your black toned canvas really made a dramatic scene- I love your bird's light feathers contrast with this dark. Yes, they love to steal food! Another gorgeous painting, Yovette my friend!

    Great looking seagull! I like the effect you get from painting over a black canvas. Nice work!

      Isn't painting on black fun Rick? I just love the effects. This was a good learning experience for me. Working on an even more difficult one now.

      @@PaintingWithYovette I agree that it is a lot of fun and rewarding as far as making a striking background that really stands out full of contrast.

      That is a nice painting Dedgy. It was from a facebook friend, he posted a painting from where he lived, and I asked him if I could use to make my own painting. It turned out well. I will see what I can do.

    Hi Yovette 👋 good to see you back , i love this painting its cute however even with your tremendously exspert tutorial, my bird turned out like an overfed thanks giving Turkey on steroids 😂florals and animals are sooo hard for me i much prefer a mountain ⛰️ having said that i will give the gull another go ! And at last Yovette i have received the tube squeezer a great tip you gave many thanks for sharing it 👏 bless you and your sis 🇬🇧

      I totally love my tube squeezer Sylvia. I use it on a lot of things. I am happy that you like it too. Like you, I have a hard time with any kind of wildlife, and also flowers. It's just something that you just have to practice over and over. Happy early Mothers day dear. 💐🤗

    Glad I found your TH-cam channel. Really enjoying watching your videos. I’m a very late starter at 72 with oils. I have purchased a set of Cobra WMO. You made me smile when you mentioned Sea Gull’s are really called Gulls , my darling late husband always corrected me when I called them sea gulls 😁💖. Thank you for sharing with us 💖

      It was my pleasure to share with you Kath, and I am glad you found my channel too. One is never to old to start painting, and 72 is perfect. You have a lot more patience than a younger person. Cobra is nice paint. I use that and Winsor and Newton WMO. I have a whole section of WMO paintings if you want to see more. Wishing you a warm welcome. 🌹

    When I try to put something free had it's either to big or to small. I usually find a pattern and trace it on LOL. Lovely painting. Very pretty.

    • @PaintingWithYovette
      @PaintingWithYovette  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tracing is very acceptable Jana. It really takes some skill to do this free hand. I don't especially have, so I have to work at it. Luckily, with the oil paint, it's easy to change things around. But this was very fun to do. I had a good time.
