Hi Gram. This is absolutely beautiful. What a pleasure to watch you create this and so many little tricks and tips in here. What a treasure you are!! ❤
I had fun with this Chris in spite of my camera boo boo's. The finished painting did turn out really nice. Thank you for such a nice compliment. I appreciate this coming from you being the great artist that you are! 💐🐰🌹 Happy Easter dear.
Thank you Yovette for another great painting i shall be painting this and with your tips and advice i should be happy with the result, Happy Easter Yovette to you an your sister, hope your weather isnt too awful keep safe .
What a wonderful compliment Iam! The rocks really did turn out well in spite of my mess up with the camera. I decided I do like the finished painting. Thank you for watching.
AW Karl, there you are again with a wonderful Super Thank You gift! ❤️ What a fabulous way for me to start off my first day of April! Thank you dear. {{{Big hugs}}} 🌺 Thank you for your support.
Hi Yovette! Your WMO fall landscape is gorgeous. Those delicate touches you made with your knife to define the water's edge are expertly done. Big hugs to you my friend!!
Hi Dena, I totally love the way this painting turned out. I do love to work with palette knife, I think even more than a brush. Happy you liked it. Big hugs back to you dear. Happy Memorial Day.
Hi Yo 😊 Very beautiful painting. It looks like it’s a half a mile to the center of it. A nice place for an afternoon walk….as long as you don’t fall in the pond. 🤣😂🤣🌹
As usual I enjoy your videos so much. Thanks for sharing with us not only your painting but also your great attitude. You're such a lovely person! A huge hug.
Hi Yovette so lovely to see you again and your painting is beautiful. I haven't done much painting lately although I have just finished a watercolour that took a long time as I did little bits at a time so took along time complete. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Thanks so much Clive 😊 We all have these times when we go through what I call a dry spell. It will be over soon, and you will be back to painting like always.
I enjoyed watching your video and the meadow come to life. It is very pretty. I have also tried that 50 / 50 mixture of linseed oil and titanium white and it worked great for me too. Its great especially when I am running low on Bob's Liquid White. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the artist community.
That 50/50 mix does work so well Rick. And I especially like to brush mix it, since that seems to be the easiest way. Thank you for watching, and thank you for your lovely compliment dear.
Ms. Yovette! Super great video! I went to the WMO’s as well! So easy to paint with! AND……..a big THANKS to you for the tip on making the “slip white” or a basic coat to start the wet on wet method! I painted a few paintings with them and it’s so simple, all without the turps and odorless mineral spirits! Have a Happy Easter to you and Sis!!
I am so happy to hear that you made the switch over to water mixable oils Karl. I know you have had them for a little while, and have maybe thought about experimenting with them. They really are so easy to use, clean up is fabulous, and they smell wonderful in comparison to the other kind. Your lungs and health will thank you! I know I will never consider going back to regular oils again. 💐 Sis and I wish you and your family a Happy Easter too. 🐰
++++++++++Excellent work.I, too, have already thought about coating the canvas with oil and paint.I haven't tried I thought it wouldn't take long to dry.
If your paint is not too thick Amerikan, it will be dry to the touch in less than a week. At least mine are. The dark colrs dry really fast. Light colos a bit longer. Thank you for the nice compliment on my painting. I really like this one.
11:00 Hi Yovette Love your paintings! I too like the water soluble oil paints. Have a question, do you recommend mixing regular oil paints with the water soluble as long as no water is being added? Wasn’t sure if that would work or not??? Thanks for what you do !!!
Yes, and yes Jane. I do on occasion, use regular oil paint with my water mixable oil pains. One just has to be sure that the regular oil paint is less than 30%, so I use a very small amount. I just brushed mix the two together, and it seems to work just fine. You just have to be sure to clean your brushes extra well when you are finished to make sure all the regular oil pain is out of the brush. The brush will feels squeaky clean when you are done..
Yes and yes Vicky. I do paint on and use flat canvas panels to save space because I have so many paintings. And I do use them with water mixable oil paints. Framing them is easy. Here is a video I made on how to do it. th-cam.com/video/6K5Zk6X-5YM/w-d-xo.html

I notice that your canvass is thin, do you use that type for water mixable oils. I like the chance to be able to fram thin canvass.
