Sarah, you should get some chickens Just 2-3 if your allowed (no roosters) just about 2 hens and all that food you are throwing away can be fed to your 2hens. No need to buy feed they can live off table scrapes and weeds and they will give you eggs. And you can then wash the eggshells and crush to feed back to the hens. Any extra furniture you don’t need you can turn it into a small coop! Just an idea. That food can be useful not wasted
I love kale salad……..love Mr. Turtle so handsome. Love new table cloth. You just showed me a new trick with can opener…if I can reminder it. Love your videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awww thank you so much! Kale is so good, it's a favorite. Mr. Turtle guards the porch but has been trying to sneak inside. I'm keeping my eye on him. Thank you for watching!
Looks like a great haul especially the quickie pie ❤ , my grape and husky cherry tomatoes and bell peppers are getting bigger. Mom & I are going to the food bank this week and hopefully we score big 😊
I hope you and your Mom get some great finds at the food pantry! Tomatoes are so good this time of year, very refreshing. The quiche was fantastic. I'm glad it fits in my air fryer. Have a great night!
If you ever come across milk that’s about to sour or past its exp you can very easily make ricotta. Put it in a pan and bring it to heat slowly, when you see little bubbles forming add in lemon juice and stir then separate with a cheese cloth or fine strainer.
Good suggestion, thank you very much! I hope to improve my kitchen one day, where I have a stove and a larger fridge. I would absolutely love to work more with food from scratch!

I used to be able to find leg of lamb steaks at a reasonable price that were perfect for a family of one! Can't find them anymore... 😢 I'll keep looking! All your meals look wonderful. Hi Chris! Lamb is a favorite for me, too! It has such a smooth texture like butter. I really like it with sweet potatoes! I hope you can find lamb soon. It's always nice to find what you enjoy most! Have a great night, Chris!

All the food looks yummy this time. Garlic powder and pepper brings out the taste of kale and so does lemon that’s what my grandma used to dress her salad with. She liked kale spinach salad a lot. Yours looked wonderful. I hope you have a good week and see you Tuesday..🥗🥗🤗
Thank you! I do have some garlic powder and will try that next time on the kale, thank you for the suggestion! I hope your week is great, too, thank you for watching tonight.
Yes I do! I need a dresser for sure. I have a plastic one I got from the thrift store that really helps. I would love to find a real wood dresser one day to upgrade to. I'm sure it will come. Life is like that, sometimes I think of something I need or want, then I find it. Love that about life!

Hello Sue! Good morning in beautiful Florida! Thank you very much for watching. The blue linen top and the fancy table cloth are really pretty items, I'm so glad to find them at the thrift store. Roasted chick peas with added chili power will taste better over rice and salads. You should try it. Don’t forget to get you some black pepper the next time you shop. 😊
Thank you for watching! I may share the details more thoroughly in a future video. In a nutshell, back in 2020 the place I rented was going to market. I had less than 1 month's notice to leave. I had never lived in a trailer before, so I had zero knowledge on how to fix it up. My renovation budget was very small. After the "basic reno", over time I was able to buy things I wanted or needed from the thrift store, Amazon or even free at the dump. Thank you so much for watching my channel!
Sarah, the tablecloth was an awesome buy. So sorry about the turkey and gravy you had to throw out, but better safe than sorry. And most of all, you need to get out and get some PEPPER! lol See you next Tuesday. Can't wait.
Oh yes, I must get me some Pepper right away! I like the tablecloth a lot, too, it's such a pretty design for the Fall and Winter. With the heatwave weather, I'm dreaming of colder temperatures! I'm not going outside today until the sun starts to set, it's 98 degrees right now, a great time to stay inside the trailer!
Too bad about the sour milk! When I was pregnant with my oldest,I craved milk. I don’t normally like it. I opened a carton of milk took a big drink,it was soured really badly. I never drank milk again. That was 34 years ago.

We just had our septic tank pumped out. The guy said ifu have a septic system I stead of flushing ridex, flush sourmilk. Does the same and it's cheaper. Just in case you have a septic tank.
Good question! I am not and hope to correct my diet to the point where I can meet some health goals. Salads really help me. I have a sweet tooth, which can be quite the difficulty! Thank you, I am making a lot of progress sorting through my belongings. I'm already experiencing the benefits of thinking in categories like keep, donate or discard. Having moved so many times, I want to make my place the best home I can. I'm getting there! Little by little!
Take out the amount of pumpkin seeds you want to use and wash the salt off them before eating them or adding them to your salad. If they are still too salty, soak them first.
Here in Pennsylvania, we don't get all that kind of foods. Most always the potatoes are rotten, and the fruits and veggies mold and spoil fast. We go to a church for our food pantry and the church members are behind the tables giving us the foods. I like the way your food pantry is, that you can push your own cart and shop that way. I don't like how it's done here in Pennsylvania and we don't even get sweets like pies and cakes, nor do we get paper goods.
Thank you for watching my video! I do like shopping with a cart and picking out the food. They try to make it feel like a real grocery store. I heard of a place in your state called Blessings of Hope, I wonder if that might be a resource to look into. Have a great day!
Mr. Turtle says Hello! He's been asking to go to the beach but I said "Mr. Turtle do I look like a beach bunny to you!" The quiche was fantastic, I really enjoy getting those. No plans yet for the 4th of July but we shall see. It can get a little too loud for me where I am, but I've got ear plugs!

Hi Karen! I hope you are staying cool, this weather is so hot recently. Sometimes the prepared food items have turned, but that's just part of shopping at the food pantry. I'm happy to get all that I got! Good for you going through your belongings, I'm doing the same. I do rinse beans, usually. 😊 That chickpea liquid is called aquafaba and is used in recipes as a vegan egg substitute. But there are pros and cons to using it.
I like to rinse the beans, too! I love learning about food, thank you for letting me know about the chickpea liquid. I'm hoping to setup my kitchen better to get to some "made from scratch" cooking one day!

Thank you for watching my video! I do like shopping with a cart and picking out the food. They try to make it feel like a real grocery store. I heard of a place in your state called Blessings of Hope, I wonder if that might be a resource to look into. Have a great day!
Enjoy your food. We donate to 3 food pantries. Some are collecting items for Back to School already. Near O'Hare airport. Tina, Al's wife
Hi Tina! The food is great, thank you! Just a few items had turned but all else was good. Have a great night, Tina!
That is a good sunscreen very expensive also. It's french
I have to wear sunscreen year round because I burn even in the shade! I am so glad they had it. Can't wait to give it a try!
As the beginning of the video. Boil milk and put it in a glass jar or pitcher.
That's a great idea, thank you!
Beautiful blessings enjoy your week 🌺🌺🌺

Hello Sarah & MrTurtle..thats to bad about milk.Ours freezes their's sometime. That Keach looks yummy. Are you doing anything for the 4rh?😊
Are you retired? Or do you work - you have such a friendly personality that I would think you would be good working with the public? I really enjoy your vlogs - keep cool in this heat wave!
I commit my full effort to my Channel! I have worked in customer service for many years before. Thank you so much for watching and I hope you stay cool in this heatwave, too!
great food choices. sad the turkey was bad. such good looking salads. have a good week. i'm working on sorting and purging again. what fun, eh? i need a couple of storage bins also.
Hi Karen! I hope you are staying cool, this weather is so hot recently. Sometimes the prepared food items have turned, but that's just part of shopping at the food pantry. I'm happy to get all that I got! Good for you going through your belongings, I'm doing the same. It's been a challenge to get started but now making decisions on what to keep and what to let go of is getting easier to do. Have a great day, Karen!

Good to know, thanks so much for watching my video!
Just curious, why do you keep the milk in the bag when you put it in the fridge? I am enjoying your channel. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Great question! The milk was dripping so I kept it in the bag in case it leaked in the fridge. Thank you for watching my channel, I'm glad you are enjoying my videos!
I know you have limited space in your fridge. If possible never store milk in a fridge door as that is the warmest place in the fridge.
That's true! The door is a bad spot to store milk. Life with a mini-fridge can be challenging from time to time!
Have you ever become ill from food from food pantry?
No. If it smells off i let it go.
