Completely agree with Sema. Carrie got to have all the loves of her life, abundantly blessed but for those of us who haven’t it can be torture to be so close to it.
Seema is very vulnerable and human. I love her character. She was the brightest thing in season 1. And she’s the only friend of Carrie’s that can make her reflective.
Smart and very real dialogue. I've been in both shoes and perspectives of the characters... but (as selfish as Carrie's behavior is - which I'm not condoning at all) boy does it hurt to have your friend pull away because of jealousy and insecurity. Which actually has nothing to do with you, it's their issue. Both are big growth opportunities that's for sure.
Its not jealousy, its a feeling of lacking and emptyness. Why would you pay out money to have those feelings and be a third wheel. Jealousy would be spite and being mean. Seema is being honest and mature here.
I absolutely agree that how Seema eventually expressed herself was honest and mature. 100% and validated... But what do you think about the fact it took Carrie's character to literally corner and chase her to be honest in the first place? The avoidant behavior (ghosting her by not responding to calls and trying to run and hide in the salon) is techincally mean and childish. And therefore, came off as a form of jealousy, in my opinion. But open to hear more of your point of view.
@@Rachaelma83 No its not mean, if she was mean she would have confronted her and said mean stuff. She avoided her to avoid a confrontation because of the feelings she expressed. I have been in similar situations where you have plans with who you perceive to be a close friend, next of all they meet someone and you're either out of picture or the third wheel. Who wants that feeling?
Seema is a great character and addition to the show. The show is overstuffed with new characters and I wish they gave more screen time to dedicate the character. Seema fills the void left by Samantha.
She doesn’t stop to think about how she is hurting someone else she always acts first and processes later. Why would Aidan go back to her after she literally married the guy she cheated on him with?
@@genxx2724 It’s a show Gimme a break. She could have lived with big like she did with the Russian but Aidan actually proposed to her and she wore his ring on a necklace. Then she cheats on him with big and marries big, oof that hurts so yes in the context of the show which is fake, she literally married big (as opposed to living with common law marrying him figuratively married to him) the man she cheated on Aidan with…..grammar police. Why is there always one of you wanting to bring down lighthearted comments ya humbug.
This was a real Sex and the City moment. The original series touched upon so many things that people can relate with, but rarely admit to. This is why the movies were so terrible. There was no realness. I wish there was more of that in the new series.
It takes compromise and sacrifice to have a great love..some people aren’t willing to do that and miss out on love or their expectation is so great it can’t be fulfilled. Seema is being a jerk. She should be happy that Carrie had someone to love. I got everything I wanted and in the process lost every friend who was jealous and petty. Better off with one great love than a bunch of women who don’t love you enough to be happy for you.
You dont get it do you. She is happy for carrie, but no one wanted to be surrounded with smoochers especially on a summer that is meant for you and her
This is for sure a complicated issue. But it’s clear what’s going on. Sema is being 10000% communicative and perfect here becsuse she is saying that she needs space from being triggered that her widow friend gets another love. She also invited her bf without checking with her first which solidified that Sema is alone. No one who’s watching out for her so she has to watch out for herself. this is her doing that and doing it well without putting the blame on Carrie.
*bravo for Seema!!! for the 1st time in an ETERNITY someone is not letting Carrie off the hook for her behavior.*

Indeed very human I love its showed
Best scene of the season. I felt in love with Seema for her honesty.
I loved this conversation she was vulnerable and honest and I totally understand where she was coming from.
Okay this scene was way better than most.
“I forgot about the Hamptons” “he won’t be there every week” ughhhh oh Carrie
I loooooved this scene. It was so honest and vulnerable. Friendships need taking care of, too

Yes Carrie wants her cake and eat it too she acts more like she's back in college

@@realsugar7056 “Literally”? Was it necessary to emphasize what you said wasn’t merely figuratively?

First of all they wouldn't be able to just do that at a hair salon. The stylists have a schedule to follow.
Love Seema
Anyone know the background music playing during this scene?
It’s akways about Carrie . She’s just so self centered . Simma is a nice person and the best character on this woke horrible show
🥰
The smoking habits of these characters are examples of worst daily, deadly habits.
ok nerd

Wait…she’s mad Carrie has a boyfriend because she can’t find love. 😂
You wanna be with your smooched out friend in a summer that is supposed to be between you and her? Of course not
Isnt is aiden? Aidan? Why is it adian?
Typo duh
