@@wellofcire Reminds me of a comment I posted on another channel. The last scene of AJLT should have been MPK playing with three dollies in Central Park (blonde, redhead, brunette) and revealed the ten episodes were just his daydream.

Kristin Davis is the perfect actress to play Charlotte York. She fits the role like well tailored clothing, made just for you. It’s as if the character was created specifically for her to play it.
I remember Heidi Klum saying: Charlotte is that woman who always has a nice little purse. Classic and timeless. The actress and the character both emulate that. Timeless, preppy chic.
When I was younger I thought Charlotte was such a prude. Rewatching the original series as an adult? I adore Charlotte. She is the type of adult I aspire to be 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I consider those dolls educational and think we all need to chill. If the national costume is wrong then find an appropriate designer and get a re-do. I was fascinated as a child to learn that there were so many different designs, fabrics and combinations...the differences taught me to understand that we are all different but yet the same.
There is nothing wrong with those dolls. These people are just desperate to call themselves rebellious in a society that taught them to assume a purpose. But with no beauty and talent, they end up raging mad and with the grave desire to watch everything that celebrates humanity go up in flames.

Charlotte seems the truest to her old character in the reboot. So does Carrie but Charlotte also shows growth whereas Carrie does not. Miranda is unrecognizable from the strong character she was.

Alik Melnikov Braidy will come out of his closet after he gets their house maid pregnant. Miranda’s effeminate Tomboy lover cheats on her with Charlotte’s daughter. Natasha tells Carrie that Big gave her the million dollars to be silent about his fetish for young Eastern European men in Paris. This show has a lot of potential to get better.

Madam Alexander Dolls are Cool!!! I just unpacked my Alice in Wonderland collection. STOP making Everything PC. I’d rather Blow my Brain Out, then to be afraid of breathing b/c my tooth paste might ( God forbid) Offend someone.
I don’t understand why those dolls aren’t acceptable if they came with accurate and informative education of their culture? What is the issue?
I can kinda, sorta see why some could find them offensive. I've never given the matter any thought before this but when you look at the dolls, it's the same Caucasian-style face sculpt for every doll (just painted different skin tones), which of course doesn't take into account the obvious facial diversities between races; iirc that argument was made against Barbie dolls, too, when it came to merely using a typical white Barbie face sculpt for non-white dolls. Then the outfits they're given, while largely traditional and in some cases even ceremonial in nature, are a bit reductive when we know that ppl from every race and culture aren't necessarily bound to just those types or styles of clothing. It could be considered stereotypical. This is how I rationalized the criticisms against the dolls, anyway.

I would've ended the friendship on the spot if I were Charlotte.
She didn't demand the ring.
She was upset that the richest of the three girls didn't offer the support to the soon to be homeless friend.
Carrie refused other two girls' offers. And she would have refused Charlotte's offer too at that lunch table.
It was the fact that the help wasn't offered at all.

It is quite normal to suggest help to the best friend when you are really rich. Especially a loan.

So many inconsistencies in Charlotte’s apartment between the shows. And Carrie’s magically expanded.
Carries actually changed again, just as much as Charlottes- the robin egg blue paint is gone: the big ‘LOVE’ picture that hung next to her “front” door is gone- the white covered shelving, bay seating and tv she had in her living room is gone- her bedroom is back to how it looked before she renovated it… A lot of the furniture she bought in the first movie has been replaced with older looking furniture; like her bed.
Her entire apartment is different again. The way it used to look in the first 2 movies is not how it looks now: and some parts actually look the way they did before she remodeled.
There were some differences in her and Bigs apartment as well: but those were more subtle.
Yeah, I noticed that all their homes got much bigger in the reboot, including Miranda's townhouse. I don't think apartments of these sizes even exist in New York! And if they do, the are for the ultra-ultra rich, like the 1%.

Kristin Davis, I love you and Ms Charlotte!!!! One of the many many wonderful things about SATC was that women could relate to a bit of each of the 4 lead characters!! Which made all of you loved!!! Great storylines, quick-wit writing, amazing casting, even more amazing acting. A true gem!! So thank you!!!
This apartment is QUINTESSENTIAL upper east side traditional pre war building decorating. They absolutely killed this. This is exactly how all of these apartments are in nyc

I enjoyed the apartment tour. However, I wish they posted BTS videos during the season. If AJLT is renewed for season two, I hope they add a third bedroom to the Goldenblatt’s apartment. It’s hard to believe they can afford private school and expensive bar mitzvahs yet their teenagers have to share a bedroom.
Probably they have a spare room. My parents did that with me and my sister, they wanted us to share the room until we grow up to create closeness, when I was 17 I move out to the spare room. She is my sister and my best friend now.
Yeah. We have a 3 bedroom apartment entrance ourselves but my boys share a room. We like a guest room to be unoccupied unless we have guests staying with us.
Their home is HUGE for upper east side NYC. Walk-in closet with a hide spa bathroom. Are you kidding?? Are you familiar with NY real estate?

I am a 50 something, when I was 12, I got a Madame Alexander doll every year for my birthday. They aren't worth much, but I loved them.

Carrie was upset not because Charlotte was wearing the engagement ring Trey had given her long after her marriage to him had ended but because she did not offer her friend the support she needed when she had financial troubles. And Carrie said she wouldn't take Charlotte's money but she wanter her to offer it to her as a sing of support and understanding of what her friend was going through. Miranda was pregnant with Brady and she offered Carrie the money and Samantha of course...

I really do like Kristin Davis. It's interesting to see the flash backs to her younger self and contrasted with her now. Still bubbly and attractive with a little weight gain, but beautiful all the same.

the apratment the Goldenblatts own is superb and beautiful I do feel though that the new hype with all the super rich people should be 'who did you help today that is less fortunate than you'...man, woman, baby, kid, animal...anyone , anywhere...and I do see that in reality among some of the super rich people all over the world... I even see it with those who are getting by in a decent kind of way and they are not wealthy ...just my opinion...they did adopt a baby though and that is amazing...just that they could have done more since they both come from money and Harry is really successful ...
You realize they are fictional right? And they wouldn't waste an episode just showing them donating to charity, that would be boring to watch.

I guess Trey gave her that flat because of the way things ended after all he was the one who changed his mind about having children which was Charlotte's dream. They both came from money, therefore 6M is nothing compared to what he put her through.

Because of the amount of self-righteous political correctness people enjoy wallowing around in these days to bolster their own lagging self-esteem. The idea that a representation of a country’s traditional costume is somehow denigrating to that culture is sheer stupidity and that attitude, not the dolls, is what insults those countries. To people in those countries (who have such dolls themselves) this American “woke”attitude is bizarre, laughable and more than a little bit condescending.
The pantry scene in the SATC movie is so wonderful.
