When I was 13 years old about nineteen years ago I sent this to a friend on MSN. I think he was 11 or 12 at the time. His response was: "Why does this help?". I remember it vividly. Crazy song. There's something about the build up at 03:31 and the drop at 04:30 that makes you revisit your life after all the buildup that is therapeutic.... with the higher pitch at 04:50 just making you feel regret....
Not everyone will appreciate music like this. It has to do with what state of mind there in at the moment. For me I have a bone to pick with my own self and have the hunger to do better.
Daniel Sanchez Thats the beauty in this type of music. Whenever I hear songs like this, sole instrumentals, they spark emotion, just the arts do. I've had friends call me out when i listen to stuff like this and they would say "how can u listen to this? there are no words". To the closed minded individual, the lack of lyrical material dictates the song unrelatable. But that is just what makes it sometimes better than music with lyrics. it can become your story, no set lyrics to distract you from the things you are meant to feel. the beat and rhythm become the lyrics to whatever you wish it to be, giving the music your own meaning and even allowing it to become yours in a sense. I'm glad im not the only one who can really connect to many types of music
People just dont realise that how this hits. Like an x musician, overwhelmed by life, depressed that i could not be what i wanted in life, i just see all things wile i listening this. Live forever Rob, you are the guy.
Cuntservatives Are Filthy Scumsucking Maggots. i hate your lame name , democrats are weak weasol like minded people , trump is the most feared man alive , he is a real mans man. your democraps fucked up this country......
I didn't even know this existed until I got lost down the classical music Wikipedia rabbit hole just now!!!! Based on the famous Chopin's Nocturne in E minor Op. 28, No. 4 😍😍
It just came up on Pandora for me. I tripped out about some giant drumming with planets until he got smaller and smaller and then disappeared. Though, the giant eventually grows again back to drumming away at planets.
After you know Rob Duogan, you have crossed into musical eternity
Still banging out this tune in 2023!
still in 2024!
Still in 2025!
Ron Dougan doesn't get enough credit for his genius work
Jason Newell no genius ever does
Because Chopin should get the credit for this
Excuse me? Do you realize the harmony was Chopin’s Prelude in E minor?
@@j.arthur2845 Yes true, but the recomposition, mixing and direction of this piece is Rob
@@j.arthur2845 who is chopin? never heard of copin. sounds to me like you are the one coping here

Still the most sad, deep song I have heard after hearing it when I was 21, 9 years ago. How time has flown.

rob dougan doesn't get enough thanks or credit for his music. he needs to have more appreciation. there's no better matrix music than rob dougan's.
This was all in a Toyota Matrix listening to it off a phone. It still hit me hard.

Damn! The emotions flooding inside!! I love this song
If this one would’ve been in the Matrix as well, it would easily be considered better than the first Clubbed to death.
This song would be badass in Half Life. Especially when the drums kick in. Makes me wanna blast some combine
