Thank you so much for this review! I have been getting into D&D, but since I don't have anyone to play with, I have enjoyed watching other content such as CR, the recent movie, and recently some of these prequel books. May I ask which other novels/series in the DnD universe you would recommend for someone who is new-ish to it?:)
I'm glad you enjoyed the review! I have a lot more reviews planned for the future, once I'm finished my current demon Mini-series. As for recommendations, I've mostly read just Forgotten Realms Novels so my recommendations will come from that setting. As a beginner you could always start with the first trilogy "The Moonshae Trilogy", while that is a good baseline for D&D Novels it is removed from the majority of the Forgotten Realms as it's set within the Moonshae Isles. I personally started with the Legend of Drizzt series, starting with the "Dark Elf Trilogy". I find they are very fun and adventurous books, and I do enjoy them quite a bit. R.A. Salvatore (The Author of the Drizzt Series) also wrote "The Cleric Quintet" which could be a great starting place as it keeps the story within a small portion of the Realms and doesn't bog you down with needless information. If you're looking for a wider look at the Different areas of the Forgotten Realms, "The Empires" Trilogy was also good. The only series I've read outside of the Forgotten Realms is the "Dragonlance Saga", and while they aren't my absolute favorite, they were solid books. I've read a good number more but those are my recommendations for someone new to D&D Books. Hope you can find one you like!
