There's a coffee library call "El Péndulo" they have many locations but the best one it's at Polanco, so beautiful, it's a must for you in your travel 💕
joni making the bed with you was so cute
As an artist I recommend you to go to Coyoacan. It’s a traditional and picturesque neighbourhood. You can just walk around and enjoy all the great street food and cafe de la olla. Also there is a house of Frida Kahlo and Diego Ribera, nowadays a museum, and some other art galleries. The Coyocan market is worth visiting too, you can get some good tacos there. I also love the museum of anthropology, which is famous for its architecture and is next to Chapultepec park. Roma or Condesa are good and save places to stay, but kinda more posh.
You reading, journaling, cleaning, cooking away, your living room and kitchen,so cozy and inviting.... You always make my day when you post,so comforting!!!🍣🍜🫖☕🥧🍷🕯📓🖋📚
i never really comment on videos, but just stopping by to say i just love your videos. We have pretty similar lifestyles/hobbies and its so refreshing to see a calming vlog with cozy/chill vibes. Not to mention the fact that you pump videos out so fast is amazing cus I watch youtube videos during breakfast every morning and i’m just in awe of the work ethic and good habits you demonstrate in videos its like so motivating to see. I love videos of romanticizing every day life and I feel like you grasp that concept and make art with it on your videos. Anyways, thank you 🤍 have fun in Mexico!
you're my comfort creator
Love your videos Lauren
this is weird, i never ever comment but i really want you to know about tianguis lagunilla.. its THE flea market, its every sunday, right in the middle of the city.. its full with antiques ( for sure haunted) vintage clothes, drinks, food, great vibes. if you are there on a sunday be sure to go.
You beat me to it, I love Lagunilla so much.
Be sure to go with some company and/or be very aware of your belongings.
Thank you so much for the suggestion!
I love finding haunt, emporiums and markets for the win
I taught Pilates and we love to see everyone. I always told my class we are meeting your body where it is, so relax and have fun. We are just happy to see people in class!
Also! I love your books in the fireplace. I saw them in another video, I have an unusable fire place and now it has books in it. ❤
I was in CDMX last summer and it was great! The Anthropology museum is an absolute must. If you wanna do the Frida Kahlo museum def book in advance. If you have time, go to Xochimilco for a boat tour- super fun! Just a little far out of the city but if you are solo traveling it's a nice way to meet people. Tons of great taco stands and food everywhere. I stayed in the Centro area which has a higher density of museums!
Also tons of bookstore cafes! Kat's Fieldnotes has a great vlog about all the cafes but may not be a ton of english book options at most places.
Watching you deep clean was so satisfying!
Hi! I’m from Mexico City, and i would suggest to visit the Kurimanzuto gallery, its the Best in the City. Also i suggest you to stay in the Coyoacán area. Roma and Condesa are nice and tourist friendly but Coyoacán has so much beautiful history, its more traditional yet there’s still so much to do in there
My winter slump levels are at an all season high rn. This video is motivation for me to move my butt and get more stuff done. The urge to stay cozy under the covers is so strong when it's so cold.
BOU! The most amazing bakery and patio atmosphere
Always love the cozy vibes in your videos ☕️🤍
casa franca for the coolest jazz club with dim lighting and lush interiors. the music is great, but you'll also walk in there and immediately feel like the hottest version of yourself. lucha libre is super fun, too; i went to arena mexico. def worth going -- a singular experience!
I'm so glad you posted 🥰
Mexico City is so much fun!! My sister and I went there for my birthday (Oct 25) and got to see and celebrate Día de los Muertos as well. We stayed in an airbnb in the San Rafeal area. Theres so much to see and do I hope you have a lot of fun 😊
Hi, I'm from México City, If you want to go to a museum, I recommend: the Soumaya Museum, the museum in the School of Medicine Palace, the Perfume Museum; I also recommend going to the Fine Arts Museum; the Chapultepec Zoo, the National Film Library. As for restaurants, there are many nice options in the Condesa and Roma neighborhoods.
At night in Garibaldi the mariachis play and you can go for a drink
The typical food here is tacos al pastor, sopes, quesadillas, chicharron gorditas, tamales and tlayudas, I hope you can try them.
You are an angel! I would have never known there was a perfume museum but that's 100% my vibe. I can't thank you enough!
@@bigbookladyalso, right next to the Soumaya museum it’s the Jumex museum which always has great exhibitions
if youre in cdmx on a sunday, go to lagunilla market!! you wont regret it. amazing antiques and vintage pieces and also everything else. mexican mercados are such a crazy vibes. bring cash.
YES to Roma, it's so darling. Loved Roso Guest House.
Lauren, idk if anyone has said this yet but if not, you absolutely have to go to Casa Bosques!!! Cutest book store ever in Roma Norte
My personal favs for food were Maximo Bistrot for dinner, Orinoco for a cheap, quick late night bite, Forte for coffee. Have fun! It’s truly amazing and beautiful there.
Your vlogs are always so relaxing and cosy! I love it 🥰
I love your videos and your vibe so so much
Thank you so much!
that soup looks amazing!! and so warm!
Please please please go to handshake when you’re in Mexico City! It’s the coolest speakeasy cocktail bar. Also the Frida kahlo house was really cool definitely worth it. There’s a market near there as well :)
I've heard amazing things about the Museo Leonora Carrington. Would be a fun spot to do a reading vlog and read some of her short stories or The Hearing Trumpet (a surrealist favorite). Unfortunately, the museum isn't in Mexico City, but other sculptures of hers are around there.
I'm really excited that you're coming to my city. You have to stroll through the historic center, go to the MUNAL museum, Bellas Artes, the San Carlos Museum, take a walk along the Alameda. Or if you want to learn about our history you can go to the Museum of Anthropology and walk through Chapultepec. Or a nice library called Vasconcelos
Or eat at the Sanborns (de los Azulejos) it has important murals near La torre latinoamericana
I really love and respect that big ass jar of pepperoncini's in your fridge
Hi ⭐️ Roma Nte is a great neighborhood for coffee shops and you’re not directly in the center city! Biblioteca Vasconelos is a PHENOMENAL library and El Bazar Sabado is only on Saturdays but an amazing market of handmade goodies.
You DEFINITELY have to visit Vasconcelos library and yup, Lagunilla is THE flea market
So excited for your Mexico City trip! Soumaya museum in the Polanco area is really nice! So is the National Anthropological Museum. For hotels, the Hyatt Regency or the Intercontinental next door are a splurge but are AMAZING. Suites Capri is a deal and is great too. For food, I would definitely recommend El Moro Churerría. I hope you have a great time!
Thank you so much! I can't express how much I appreciate your suggestions😊
Check out any tours of homes or places designed by Luis Barragan in Mexico City. So cool to observe his work and style! This was a highlight of my trip!
Local recommendations here! There are a few nice little hotels in Roma, specifically Álvaro Obregón street. Another option could be colonia Juárez -it's just beside Roma-, it's a super fun neighbourhood, very in atm with lot's of cafés, second hand stores, galleries and bars. You would be closer to Paseo de la Reforma where most of the more popular museums are. You could take public transport (Metrobus). Route 7 takes you to all the museums in Paseo de la Reforma, plus is a double decker, so you can also watch this part of the city. I really recommend you going to Laguna, it's a really cool cultural space in colonia Doctores where you can find local artist's work and great coffee! The café is called Buma which you can find in other parts of the city but this spot is really beautiful. Since you are a book lover, I recommend you visiting el péndulo, specifically the one in Polanco. It's the best imo. There are other cool bookshops/cafés but they don't sell books in English. But if you just want to visit and have a coffee, I really recommend el Desastre in colonia Del Valle. I could go on and on haha Have a great trip Lauren! I hope Mexico City treats you well xx
Where is your small bookshelf from? It’s so cute 😊
I need to try that earl grey chocolate!
I am from Mexico City and live in Roma Norte, if you want to splurge I recommend Nima Local House and Hotel. It’s lovely. Or a bit less expensive Rosso Guest House, Casa Seis Siete or Casa Izeba. They’re all smack bang in the best area of Roma.
I stayed in cdmx last year this time too! i stayed in roma in an airbnb (sorry cant help w hotel) and it was a great location. very easy to access good bars, restaurants, and markets. we didn't have time to shop, but there's cool boutiques around there as well. my friends and i's favorite bars were a small record spinning bar called Bussifame and a speakeasy called Hanky Panky. down the street from hanky panky there's a great place to get tacos. you honestly cant go wrong with the food there! have so much fun
Stash Organix is my favourite 🫶 love their chai
Btw, that’s the right quantity of pepperoncini!!!
hiii i just wanted to give a recommendation for a film!! i recently saw universal language at my local cinema here in edmonton and thought i’d tell you in case you hadn’t already seen it. it’s an indie film that was made in winnipeg and it’s incredible. the director was in attendance at my showing and said how well received it was in winnipeg. well since you’re based out of winnipeg (i believe so silly of me if im wrong) i thought you’d REALLY like it. it’s incredibly silly with lots of winnipeg humour
I tried that chocolate brand years ago and it's WILD IT IS SO GOOD. Dark chocolate w sea salt.
It's UNREAL!!
I was there last week and went to this perfume store that made me think of you actually! Xinú Perfumes Marsella - lots of other good shops on that street including Utilitario Mexicano (home goods and kitchen stuff). I stayed in condesa and it was great and a super easy walk to Roma Norte/roma
Also Luis Barragán’s house!!!
If you like that book, you'd really like the show Severance if you haven't seen it already! Similar plot line!
You should go to holistica while you’re in Tulum! It’s gorgeous and has a really nice restaurant for brunch and they even have a nature trail, massages and yoga classes on the premises
That sounds amazing! Thank you☺
I do love to see how your cat helps you to make the bed 😂
can't wait to see what hotel you choose! going for my bachelorette party in oct
Adding a vote for Coyoacàn and the Frida museum!
meanwhile you should definitely visit other neighborhoods such as coyoacan or the historical center, DEFINITELY you should stay in Roma Sur (or Roma Norte). There are many many small stores, cafes, etc, the best part is where the indie cinema is (Cine Tonalá), there is also a vintage clothing market on the weekends on Tonalá 108. I've been living in CDMX some time and moving around and the best part for living and walking around and exploring small stores close to home is definitely Roma Sur. Roma Norte is the same but the vibe of Roma Sur is more like a small walking green town, and is minutes walking from roma norte and definitely cheaper
But if you're staying in a hotel you may find more options in roma norte anyways
To read at a cafe you should visit Cafebreria el pendulo Roma Norte
love this video! do you know, by any chance, the style of levis you are wearing around minute 9? looks gorgeous! thank you
you are glowing so pretty ~
That book sounds a lot like the show Severance
my thoughts exactly!
Can I ask where you got your robe? its so cute!
I’m from the uk and I was watching your vlogs on my tv once and my mum was visiting she said that you looked just like Kate bush 😅
Most of the time I went to cdmx I stayed in roma norte and loved it! Try to stay clear from doctores though :)
There is such great foods and fun things to do! If you're in condesa I really like the panaderia almuerzos. On Saturdays there is an art market in Angel (El Bazar sabado & on plaza San jacinto) - it's basically on the way to the contemporary museum :)
Have fun it's a great city!
Also it might make sense to download one of the local uber alternatives - it's cheaper and sometimes more options :)
Also I love your videos and general content! ❤
I looove your videos! what do you usually use for filming the quality and aesthetic are perfect
You can visit Frida Kahlo museum and alsoo my sister who lives in playa del carmen 🙃🙃
Try to get out of Roma Norte and condesa…. Only neighborhoods tourists ever seem to go to
Good to know! Thank you😊
Dream PR package ❤
Your stripey bathrobe is IN-CRED-IBLE 😍😍
Love your Janie. (Sp?) She's a love bug. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip to Mexico. I've never been so I don't have recommendations. I'm sure you'll get a lot of them. Peace 🕊️
Where is your puffy tote & navy sweat set from? 💙💙
🇨🇦here, but lived in Mexico and have been many times to visit again and also Tulum. The cenotes are beautiful, I travel alone so I hired a tour with a photographer and got some underwater photos.
My fav places to stay are Condesa and Roma Norte. I do Abnb, so can’t personally recommend a hotel, but took a look and have some suggestions: Casa Cleo, AR 218 Hotel by ULIV, Nima local, Nana Vida, Ignacia Guest house, Xoma Boutique, Casa Decu. Personally prefer boutique hotels than big ones.
Polanco is nice too, but $$$ and a bit far away from main attractions.
If you can’t go to Lagunillas, you could visit Ciudadela market.
Depending on what days you are there try to go to Palacio de Bellas Artes and Castillo de Chapultepec.
Museo Tamayo (Contemporary)
Modo Museum (Design) is in Roma
Xxo
hey :) looking forward to reviewing all of the Mexico recommendations. also looking into Mexico city in march!
can you link the makeup you used, please? thanks! love your videos.
Hi just wanted to know what they call your decor style I love it now I’m into French style, but I’m kinda liking this this style that you have maybe I got bored of mine already and I guess I’m seeing this style often too🥰
Do you mainly shop in organic shops / health stores? I'm from Europe, so it's maybe not the same thing we have here. But I wondered, because most of your food packaging does look way better than what you'd get here in normal supermarkets :)
Hi Lauren, would love to see a video about your art degree. Can you recommend it? And do you plan to work in the field? Considering of doing one myself as my Master's :). btw love your yellow walls!

I’m sure you’ve been asked this soooo many times but I have to know what style of Levi’s those are!!
Ok so I thrifted them and it doesn't seem to say which style they are on any of the inside tags BUT I think they're mens Levi's and they definitely just have a plain old straight leg. Sorry I couldn't be more help :/
@ that’s ok thank you!! I have a pair of vintage men’s Levi’s I love too but they don’t seem to make them in black! Will keep an eye out in the men’s section for more
Hot Yoga is my favourite winter sport 🔥
