Thank you for this video. There is definitely a marked difference between the QD slipon without the DB killer although it is marginal. This bike needs a CAT delete to unleash its sound, but there are remaps to tunes available for it sadly. I will probably do a decat when my 950S's warranty runs out.
I don't think so. I honestly have to say that the sound without db killer annoys me on longer stretches of motorway, especially at 110kmh. It fits perfectly on country roads. But it's pretty loud. Especially the misfires with certain clutches are very loud.
@@ferociousfrankie 🤦🏼♂️ Good for you but have you ever thought about people who live at those roads where you like to ride? This attitude has brought us to many „bike-only“ road closures here in 🇩🇪
Great film, I own a V2S and searching for a better exhaust sound, what's your 2 cents here, its hard to hear the different in the film sound as the camera often compensates for a higher sound, so does it sounds like a proper Ducati without the DB killers meaning you can drive in traffic and by revving alert a car getting to close? Thanks!
Thank you! All I can say is that it's significantly louder without the DB killer. There are misfires especially when going downhill. The difference is most audible from around 4500 rpm. Then the flap opens. You can clearly hear the difference there.
Hi there! I also own the V2 (not S) and I must say I'm quite disappointed. The scooterish sound reminds me of a sack full of rusty nails, the ergonomics is terrible - I keep sliding forward in the seat crushing my nuts in the process putting pressure on my wrists, the foot pegs are way too back. How do you find the ergonomics? On the plus side the chassis is fantastic, the rear seat is comfy for a passenger, it goes thru curves like a knife thru butter.
@@tomaskral4685 For me the ergonomics are good. however, I drove a Monster before. My father also said that about the eggs. He also had the 950s before and now the v4s. It should be better with her.
Thanks. I'm pretty sure I'll buy one of these too. The Termi is disappointing in both looks and sound. But I am reluctant to remove the car. This seems the best option if you can remove the baffles. Mine is also the 950S so it's Euro 4 and thankfully not 5!
Thanks for the sound check, you live in a nice neighborhood for riding. May I ask what rear rack are you using? Looks strong and sturdy. I just ordered a V2.
I ordered this and discovered this DB killer. Apparently this was not available in the previous versions. Could this possibly have something to do with the Euro 5 update? I've already asked QD, but haven't gotten a response yet.
@@MatthiasDitter in my previous bike, I had the same problem. The euro 4 and euro 5 exhausts, looked the same, but in the euro 5 version you couldn't remove the DB killer, because it was all welded together. In your exhaust was easy to remove the DB killer? Where is it located on the exhaust, behind the end pipe mesh?
When the exhaust is cold, it doesn't touch the suitcase. However, I noticed that he already has very slight traces of abrasion. Apparently he sometimes touches the case due to thermal expansion.
Vielen Dank für dieses Video. Ein Traum.

@Thorsten_Küppers Not an issue in the U.S. unless you are being an ass with the throttle in residential areas etc...
Sounds really nice, even with DB-Killer mounted 👍🏻

Matthias, I need your help. How did you removed the db killers?
Came for the exhaust but was mesmerised with the location, where is this?

Thanks very much!
The rear rack was installed by my dealer. Unfortunately I don't know which one it is.
I can recommend the rack of SW Motech for the Multi, great stuff
I have the same exhaust but did’t know I could remove the db killer. Where is it?

At my exhaust, the DB killer was only attached with a clamping ring. It was located at the end
Very impressive!

Nein, wenn er mit Db Killer gefahren wird würde ich ihn nicht mehr kaufen. Außer die Optik ist entscheidend.

That slipon is mutch shorter. Do you know if it will be cool with the side bags (if you use that) or will the steam/fumes hit the bags?

qd exhaust without db killer kinda sounds like a beefed up ktm 390
Here’s a tip; prior to making a video like this, have the bike already warmed up. Geeesh.
Yes, I'll have to take that into account next time. Thanks :-)
