    This is a fantastic tutorial. Your voice is easy on the ears for me, unlike some of the other PowerDirector tutorials out there. Some of them drive me nuts! You have an excellent way of sharing your knowledge in a very user friendly, understandable way which is wholeheartedly appreciated by myself. Thanks for taking the time to do this. It makes learning this program very pleasurable and less frustrating! You are a great teacher and should have majored in Instructional Technology!

    Finally a video which is slow enough to keep up with you and understand everything, now going to watch the rest. Think you have already convinced me to buy 365. Have download 4-5 software editors this week and gave up on all of them. Thank you sir

    I have been watching another channel since I purchased this 365 software and didn't really learn a thing that told the "why" and "How come" for the things that were being explained. Your Part 1 was clear and provided so much value to my time. I'm on my way to part 2.

    This tutorial is AWESOME!!! I must have went through a gazillion links to find a video editor that w/b user-friendly today because I couldn't find a cyberlink tutorial that I found user-friendly for my non-techie antique brain. This vid is the best, basics spelled out as clearly as can be! Well done!

    Hi Bobby Gene, I want to thank you for putting out these videos on how to edit videos. I will watch through all of them but at the moment I’m taking care of three properties and trying to move to the lake. As soon as things slow down I will watch them and hope to be more confident and get going posting videos on my TH-cam channel.

    Just to say thanks for a great tutorial. I'm in the UK, I'm not a total beginner, so I understand the terminology. I have been in the music side of things mainly so I understand about tracks and editing audio. I recently bought a GoPro and wanted something good but not over complicated and I'm sure I've found it in this software. I found your videos during my research and I like the way you have introduced each process, step by step clearly and at a beginners pace.
    Thank you.
    And even though you're American, you didn't start off by saying, "Hey! What's up guys?!" and there was no mention of "This bad boy." 😁
    Thank you for that. 👍😏

    You go Gene! Thank you so much. I loved this 4 part series. It was just what I needed. No skipping steps, thinking that I would know things I didn't! Nice and slow, with a good zoom when needed. The mouse highlight is great! Sometimes when I learn from youtube (without the mouse highlight) I have to rewind so many times just to find out where the person clicked! :-) Your jokes crack me up and I like the repeat, of what was learned before and your clear "what I will learn from this video"!

    Hey Gene, Just starting video editing (trying) for myself. Just retired (medical) and doing some " you tube" myself if I can. Had a IT girl for many years at our office, working with us, but now I'm retired and need to do it myself. I currently have been paying Premier Pro monthly for about a year and have not gotten off of 0 mph. It is a little complicated for a gun training guy / motorcycle trainer. Would you suggest using this program you are teaching, Power Director and stepping up to Premier Pro later or would you go directly to the big boy?? Been enjoying your Videos and you are one of my favorites. Trying to do some videos but some health issues have slowed me a bit. Owned a Gun Store and Motorcycle Training School for many years in Lakeland, and after watching you for a while, I feel like we are interested in many of the same things. Self defense and riding. Wife and I are a little older than you but I feel I have lots more to offer and trying to keep busy. Thanks for your time and great work. Your videos are some of the best I have seen. My wife Cindy and I also watch your cooking videos together. Cindy is always looking for "RV cooking Hacks" We are eating lots of Salmon planks from Publix lately. (trying to loose a couple of pounds).Thanks for your good work. I appreciate your time and taking a min for me... Dan

      Hi Dan, start off small, or simplified, and work up to Premier Pro (I take it you are on a PC?) Get used to working with video clips on a timeline, then producing a completed project with titles, music, sfx. Then after you've done some hefty projects, and you are having fun and hungry for more. If you feel comfortable understanding the whole digital video structure of things, migrate over to Premier Pro and light the fires. It's powerful, same concept but some stuff is just in different places, the interface is not as visual, and you have to be patient and learn that. For me it's a challenge, I like challenges that have great reward. Like riding the Dragon on a beautiful day and nobody is in my way, or double tapping steel plates with a single reload in record time. Premier Pro CC amazes me, just yesterday I discovered all of the cool titles I have available to me and how to animate them. I'm a nerd/geek in a way as well as a rider, shooter, fighter LOL...life is good. Watch lots of TH-cam videos on what and how you are doing, it's been a priceless resource for me in my progress. My email is in the description above, hit me up if you want to give PowerDirector a shot, I should be able to find a link with a discount, (they are a affiliate). Or if you want to dive in to Premier, balls! Simply watch lots of videos and follow along, then you won't have to mentally change gears from PowerDirector to Premier. If you lived nearby I'd give you some lessons ;) Either way, roll your sleeves up and get in there, life is short, record your memories of it! Cheers!

    Hi. Gene
    I have a quick question if you would please.
    I have been using power director now for a couple months.
    I was just wondering where do I go to
    Make my title not so huge when I bring it into the timeline.
    It seems like it's three or four inches long I don't need that much.
    Is there a button or a setting I can go to
    To make the title not so large across my timeline when I drag it in ?
    Thanks
    Keith

    • @GenesTherapy
      @GenesTherapy  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can customize titles in the title room. click on the title itself in the preview screen and you should be able to drag it to position and size. Also after clicking on it you will see the power tools options appear at the bottom of the title room giving you more options. Cheers!

    Why Render in 1280x720/30p(16mbps)? Is this the best quality for Uploading to Facebook or TH-cam? FB Compresses videos and they look bad.

    Bobby Gene, I love your videos Brother. I downloaded Vegas Pro 19 free trial and played around with it yesterday. I flubbed around more aptly put. I bought an akaso brave 4 v3 before I found your TH-cam videos and since, and bcuz of your video about it, I purchased the Feiyu Pocket 2S. I’ve shot a bunch of videos with both and wondered about edits? I just found this series today. Thank you again for your efforts and help. I noticed that you haven’t posted anything for a year and that said, I’m a fan Gene.
    Also, another thank you for replying to me when I “comments” under another video I watched.
    All that word salad served up, when may we hope to see more of your videos?

    Nice presentation - looking forward to more advanced training. One question - after you added the second clip and then moved the play-head to the very beginning - when you pressed PLAY the program still changed from Clip to Movie?

    • @GenesTherapy
      @GenesTherapy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe play movie is the default and if you only want the clip played you click 'clip'. I never use those I just stop the playhead with the space bar when I'm done.

    You said it should run at the right speed. When I record the 8mm it scans at a higher speed and should be at 16 FPS. If the program does not run at 5he right speed, is there a tool on the program to slow it down to 26 FPS. I watched all 4 videos and you raced over video speed. Thanks.

      Interesting question Louis, I'm not familiar with the 8mm transition. Hit the help button and head over to Cyberlink support and see if it is posted there or in their member forums. I'm sure there would be others who would like to know. You have a 8mm digital camera? I haven't seen one of those around anymore. I started with 8mm film back in the 80's lol. Cheers!

    Bobby Gene - your vids are fabulous and when you are "teaching" I very much admire your methods for doing so. My son just got in to doing video and was looking for a good teaching video. I highly recommended yours. Why? - I'm a Photoshop teacher and I know a good teacher when I see one and you're it. As a matter of fact, I'm even thinking I might want to do some vids too. ha. I'm better off in Photoshop...

    I am spending Christmas with your tutorials and am learning so much. You mention a member's forum. I can't find it. I don't see anywhere on their support website where you can ask a question. Can you send a link? I need to know why my videos have a long alphabetic-numeric name across them when placed on timeline. They came from an apple iphone. Can I rename the clips? What does the name mean? I can't copy it to show you.

    • @GenesTherapy
      @GenesTherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Merry Christmas :) You should be able to rename those strange video clip names by right clicking on them, (while viewing them on your computer file explorer window). Just don't change the name of the extension after the period (if it shows it.)
