    I have watched about half of this video and I am SO HAPPY to have found this. This is just the basic and thorough information I need - I am writing notes so I can reference while working on videos and trying to internalize the information so it is automatic. I really appreciate this video and look forward to viewing others as I begin to master some of the basics.

    Just installed the free version of the app; loving it, but loving the intro video even more. I spent a few months with FinalCutPro about 10 years ago, and the layout of the app windows and general features and functions map nicely back to that old experience. Just makes it easy to start looking at basic video creation/authoring!! And I love the cool-brother narrator!!! He makes things easy to understand, and does so without being b.o.r.i.n.g to listen to!!!!!
    PS - the closed captioning is excellent also!

    Excellent beginners tutorial. I'm using two versions of Power director right now; power director 365 for pc and windows and power director mobile for my chromebook. Personally, I find editing videos on my Chrome book to be a lot easier than the pc version. However, Power director 365 currently is the only version that accepts my Sony ZV-1 video settings like XAVC S and AVCHD. Also, I find that power director mobile has a lot more video and audio downloads for the paid subscription than 365 (though this might have changed now). Keep up the good work! You've definitely helped me out with understanding power director and getting the best out of video editing 👍

      @@PDU_Tutorials And done, professor.
      I'm not a fan of the subscription model, but I went with Director Suite 365. See, I'm trying to get more serious about photography and videography this year. New lenses, new camera, new jeans. I even shaved off my beard to mark this as a new kind of year for me. Part of the change is trying new tools, and since the Director Suite includes PhotoDirector, AudioDirector, and ColorDirector, it seemed like a good deal.
      Yeah, I'll be eating a bit more Ramen until next payday, but as Vincent van Gogh said, "If you ain't suffering, it ain't art." 😆

    Great tutorial. I did endure some frustration, a frustration I have suffered elsewhere as well. My interface is different from the interface on the screen. I just recently downloaded PD 365 and this vid is a year old. Maybe we are working on different versions of PD 365. Not the videographer's fault. An ongoing challenge for me.

    Heya. Can you do a tutorial on how to edit music videos, such as take a old clip and sync it with new audio, take out clips and shuffel around with additional clips while keeping all in sync with the audio, also, how to mirror a clip so it looks like a right hand guitarist is playing left handed

    Excellent excellent excellent.
    Have you ever used
    Corel VSP Editing software ?
    That is what I currently use but I may just step over to power director.
    I just subscribed and hit like Plus I clicked the bell.

      I have always enjoyed
      Core VSP
      EVEN THOUGH IT DOES HAVE A FEW BUGS ONCE IN AWHILE.
      PowerDirector came highly recommended so I figured I'd give it a shot.
      I'm excited about learning it I've only had the one glitch so far.
      With my audio not playing the first three four words.
      Hopefully I'll get through that and things will go smooth.
      I think every piece of software is going to have some glitch once in awhile.
      But it is nice when things run smooth.

    Malik: I hope you are doing well. This PD reminds me a LOT of Pinnacle Studio. The layouts are identical. Pinnacle has always had issues with being a resource hog. How would you rate PD compared to Pinnacle in the resource use? I appreciate you showing us the basics.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Danny. Thanks or watching. All things being equal I think PD is much more resource friendly. But, it depends on what you're doing and what file types you're doing it with. Someone using mp4 1080p files might not use as many resources as someone using 6K HDR 4:2:2 apple prores files with a bunch of FX, LUTs, and transitions.

    Hi can you recommend a video editing software for music videos in which i can edit length, amplify sound etc?

  • @DavBlc7
    @DavBlc7 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I would love to have it later but in some video editing, the productions took very slow to record long video on to file, on DVD discs etc. It took a day to complete it.
    So does Power director very slow or faster than the other video editing software.

    Hi! I have been watching your channel for a very long time and you have helped me a lot with your amazing content. Their is still one thing i wanted to ask.
    When my timeline contains many video clips with a total of 60 to 90 minutes and i speed them up + bring them down to 15 minutes ( transitions , fix & enhance etc incuded ) my timeline is not very smooth.
    Could you recommend me best cpu, gpu etc hardwares for best possible performance.
    I am using intel core i7 10750H with 6GB Nvidia 1660Ti and 16 GB Ram.
    It would help me a lot because i am comfortable with power director and i don't want to switch to other video editing softwares.

    I've been cutting lots of clips out of a long video and then using "Edit Alias" to name them for easy reference. Is there also a way to move those clips into the media room? Or do I have to render each one separately? What I want to do is render them separately, but don't want to have to keep pulling the original video back to the timeline and re-cutting it. Or is there a way to only render one track while the other tracks are occupied?

    Question to anyone or everyone who can give me some insights in editing with PD ver.19. I'm a member of a paranormal investigations team and I used a Sony HD1000u to shoot in a dark rooms with Infrared beam on. i was able to see thru my LCD screen white shadows that appeared to be ghosts and one shadow even came up close to my camera lens and disappeared in thin air. When I started editing the footage, the segment when these shadows supposed to be, it seems that it did not record at all. I've tried different settings on my editing review but no luck. Does anyone have experiences in editing videos of paranormal activities?

    Hello! I often work very zoomed in trying to get clips lined up just the way I want with separate audio that I have prepared and find it very annoying that the timeline visual follows the playhead as it moves out of the field of view. It basically means if I can't get the clip just right in the span of a couple seconds my field of view jumps and I have to pause and pull it back into view. I'd like for the playhead to keep moving beyond the field of view without pulling me along with it. Is there any way to stop following the playhead? I can't seem to find it in any tutorials and it's not obvious in the preferences options.

      Not that I’m aware of. You can ask on the PowerDirector forum.

    Question.
    That pie chart, that shows the used/remaining memory. Mine shows that i have 122GB used.
    My question is, where is all that stored, on my computer? I have searched everywhere, and cannot find anything. And, i'm assuming, it's slowing down my computer.

    Hey, how do you cut the video footage in general? For example, I have 16:9 footage, but I want to go ahead and cut a small part of it and make it 1:1. For example, I recorded a screen with a camera, I want to only cut the camera from the footage and place it somewhere else when I edit the video

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      split the clip at the beginning and end where you want it. Right click and select copy. Place play head where you want to insert the copied clip. Right click and select paste. If you want yo only have a part of that image you can then crop the image so that only part of the footage is shown.

      Yes, when I show how to add/remove tracks there is an option to include or not include an audio track.
