Misconceptions About the Business Exit Process

We'd never eat an ice cream cone if we thought it tasted like asparagus.
Whatever we're contemplating, we should at least contemplate reality, and the opportunity of a good outcome, not just the presumption that something will turn out poorly.
Does the wrong process of selling your company cause issues? It certainly does. However, the right process will create results almost impossible to generate independently.
As such, in whatever direction a company decides to pursue (or not pursue) an exit, the misconceptions should be flagged and disregarded.
