The shoe part is absolutely legit. I just got back from a 10 day Japan trip and we walked over 175 000 steps. Good comfortable shoes are a must.
For #1, I would get a water bottle from the airport before you fly to Japan. That way you have a reusable water bottle you can carry around while exploring Japan! :)

and water in japan is good taste and safe. also free anywhere. you don't need to buy water .
Or just buy a reusable water bottle before you go since it will be way cheaper then an airport and you get a better selection.

I averaged 25k steps a day in Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo, best to walk so you can enjoy the views and not missing anything. I love going into convenience stores, so I would prefer to get drinks there. I would suggest you dont eat and walk in Japan ❤
I walked 30k-40k steps a day in Japan, my feet were dying on me on the 5th day lmao
The water bottle thing is so unnecessary imo. Water bottles cost like nothing in Japan, and vending machines and stores everywhere. Such a hassle to look for places to refill your water bottle for not much gain. Plus the fact that the water you buy from the konbini is nice and cold
What is the point of the money tray anyway? It’s not like it prevents spread of germs or viruses...
When we had the Covid pandemic, shops here in Perth WA would have a money tray too. They were supposed to sanitise it before putting in the till so you would get sanitised change as well.

Hello!! What shoes would you guys recommend that are comfortable and great for walking so much?
It depends on how much money you have to spend. My favorite pair personally are Nike Huaraches. They're like $100. Bt if you want something more adorable my Mom wears Sketchers and she walks ALL THE TIME.
Have you visited Japan during the Summer? If so how was it?
This was actually during summer! It was really hot and humid but personally I do better with hot weather than cold. Nonetheless it’s always a good time when you’re in Japan despite the weather no? 🤗🤗

@@loganarcilla9170 August is a very hot and humid time of year in Japan, make sure to stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks. Don't want to get heat stroke in all that humid heat and ruin your holiday.
My family averaged 20K steps a day for 21 days. That doesn't include the sites with Hill's and 50 plus staircases. Fushimi Inari anyone?

Are slippers or clogs good to go? I don't know, I've never walked in slippers or clofs for a whole day
Nope, needs a thick sole and cushioned inside. And can't fall off your foot with every step.
