M3 Halftrack by Warlord Games, ED-SKaR makes, Part2: painting

This week I'm finishing off the Halftrack I built last week, and trying out some new techniques for painting vehicles. The main technique I'm trying out is 'modulation' which is used to emphasise the modules (different parts) of the model to make the shapes more visible and interesting.

You can use micro set and micro Sol on decals to get them looking how they're supposed to

Gaiters are one piece, like a sleeve, puttees are the cheaper version, long piece of cloth that wraps around. Lol "fight amongst yerselves" on that one!

Well nobody else is here, so I'll have to join in on the fighting: Puttees aren't the "cheaper" option, they are the "stronger, more reliable, effective and durable" option that often happen to be cheaper as a bonus.
This whole think keeps reminding me that I need to get some repro ww2 puttees for my Gaunt's Ghosts cosplay...
