This might be a weird idea, buy I'm kinda tempted to convert up some German (ww2 era) tanks to look like they've been corrupted by the energies of the Warp from the Warhammer universe.
Basically the idea for this is "what would happen if the Nazis had discovered the Warp and fall to the worship of Chaos".
    Just a thought really

You might want to specify which vallejo colour with a number since they can have more than one paint with either very similar names or even identical names from the same or different vallejo ranges.

Very helpful video! I think dry brushing is underrated as a painting technique

Thanks! It's a much maligned technique, that people wrongly thing only belongs in the 'training wheels' or 'beginners' toolkit. It is a useful skill/technique to have in your back pocket, and once you know the effect it achieves and how it works, it can be applied smartly to any situation it's well suited for.

Interesting that you spoke of building high contrast but didn't use any washes for the crevices. I believe a strong contrast is improved when you not only build up to light colors, but start with a wash, so you have a deeper, darker color in the low points to contrast with the highlights you're applying.

I wanted this to be an approachable, low barrier to entry process, and I've found acrylic washes don't really work well for vehicles. By basecoating with a 'typical wash colour', such as black, or dark brown, then drybrushing up, we achieve the same effect that washing it would, without the tidemarks, coffee stains, and weird blotches of colour.
I typically panel line wash with enamels, which I will be covering in future videos!

@@WesternTabletop Agreed, applying the same approach most take with humanoid figures/spehs mahrens generally doesn't work all that well for large flat surfaces. There's always gloss wash over gloss coat techniques etc. but that rapidly shifts things well out of the approachable zone for most folks.
I suppose the only barrier for anything in future RE: enamel washes is they may have to look a little further beyond their local GW for it, but that's hardly a sticking point.

You’ve nearly slap chopped it. If you added some contrast or speed paint…. 😊

I am building a late war bolt action German winter army, and was wondering how to paint white camouflage to a tank that has a panzer yellow undercoat. Is this something your videos will cover?.
    Also, AWESOME video.

There are specific “winter wash” products provided by Vallejo and AK Interactive. Absent buying a specific task product, one may create their own winter wash. There are existing YT videos on the creation and application of these winter washes.

Thanks - It'll be something I'll cover eventually, but I don't have an easy and reliable way of doing it just yet!

Can you add a shade as well and then drybrush again on top of the shade?
