I’ve had my belly button pierced since last November and I am still in LOVE with it 😍 It’s my favorite piercing on me personally (granted I don’t have a lot of piercings. A single nose stud, my lobes pierced, and my naval).
I’m glad I got the answer I was looking for - I couldn’t understand why my body kept rejecting the belly piercing . I did had a tummy tuck in the past. You know your craft - that’s sexy 😉

Great info!! My navel has been pierced since 1978, and was done at Gauntlet in LA. Done at 14 gauge, 3/8" surgical stainless bar, no gems. I kept the original jewelry in place for over 10 years. The bottom of my navel was pierced because I had endoscopic surgery for my appendix, so the top part was slightly enlarged for the endoscope. Now I use anodized titanium internally threaded bars in it exclusively. Never had an issue with healing, from what I can remember; it's been awhile. It is my second oldest piercing since my first lobes when I was a baby. I still clean it regularly with either H2Ocean, or Neilmed. (Jan Griffiths).

All of my piercings except for the dermal punched conch are 26 years old or older. My navel was done at The Gauntlet, in LA, CA. Everything was done in stages, and I got nothing new till the previous ones were healed. I never got more than 4 at a time. No bumps, infections, or rejections. I had my tongue pierced , but retired it 4 years ago. I like it better with no metal in my mouth. If you are getting piercings, go slow and enjoy the journey. (Jan Griffiths).

I got mine pierced yesterday in Atlanta, GA at Virtue and Vice and my experience was amazing. All the things you did, my piercer did the same. Her name was Lena for anyone who lives in the ATL area. My piercer also gave me a consultation to make sure my belly button was suitable, also while I was there I saw a girl and she said they told her they weren’t going to pierce it because her belly button wasn’t suitable. Pain was a 2-3 for me. I didn’t even make a sound. I love my new piercing 🤍 thank you for your advice!

Got mine done. Easiest piercing ever. Resembles the pain of piercing your earlobe which is just a pinch or like getting a vaccination. I thought it would hurt, and hardly felt it. My piercer was great

I have had my belly piercing for 2 days now. My stomach is flat and I have sort of a outie (it sinks in a little) I was afraid that there wasn't much to be clamped and pierced but my experience was just the same as hers. He was able to clamp it (surprisingly) and kept me calm by telling me that he was just using the clamp the entire time! 😂 No problems with it so far, I've been taking good care of it.
I was always so scared my belly button was a bit too caved (if that makes sense) but the man in the vid just said that the girl’s is perfect so I very happy now

I’m having to constantly explain to people not to use peroxide. Sea salt, water. And make sure it says sea salt and no other additives. Not sure why everyone thinks peroxide is good.
Ran multiple dermatology clinics over20 years. I can’t tell you how many times I heard “no more piercings by the practitioners and M.D.s. Lol You have the right regimen and know the skin on point!

only part that’s sort of painful is when the tip of the needle goes thru that first layer but honestly it all depends on your pain tolerance. But it’s not painful tbh(just for anyone wondering)

I had my bellybutton pierced when I was 15 and my body rejected it and the bellybutton skin over it snapped when I bent over (the only thing that hurt was my feelings because I spent money on something that didnt last ) I want to get it pierced again but I don't want it to reject again :(
I love this guy. I only had one man pierce me when I was in my teens. He would take the time to line up the piercing. People these days paying for cheap piercings and it's crooked or unhygienic. Not worth it
I’ve had mine pierced for about a week now and it is starting to have a little crusty around the top area and a little red and itchy is that normal for the healing process ?
Yes that is very normal for the first stage of the healing process when you see crusties forming that's actually a good sign that means you're healing, just be sure to use a Q-tip and gently wash off the crusties
not gonna lie, this video had me scared to get mine pierced, i was worried my piercer wouldn’t live up to these standards haha! she did amazing though and it’s healing nicely

Mine didn't hurt either but after just two weeks my jewelry fell out and it closed up. Idk if the scar tissue will make it worse.

Dove sensitive skin soap. Wash once a day. Unless sweating a lot. H2ocean salt water spray to soak 2-3x a day. Don’t switch out before 6 months.

I got mine pierced yesterday in Atlanta, GA at Virtue and Vice and my experience was amazing. All the things you did, my piercer did the same. Her name was Lena for anyone who lives in the ATL area. My piercer also gave me a consultation to make sure my belly button was suitable, also while I was there I saw a girl and she said they told her they weren’t going to pierce it because her belly button wasn’t suitable. Pain was a 2-3 for me. I didn’t even make a sound. I love my new piercing 🤍 thank you for your advice!

Got mine done. Easiest piercing ever. Resembles the pain of piercing your earlobe which is just a pinch or like getting a vaccination. I thought it would hurt, and hardly felt it. My piercer was great

I have had my belly piercing for 2 days now. My stomach is flat and I have sort of a outie (it sinks in a little) I was afraid that there wasn't much to be clamped and pierced but my experience was just the same as hers. He was able to clamp it (surprisingly) and kept me calm by telling me that he was just using the clamp the entire time! 😂 No problems with it so far, I've been taking good care of it.
Now I can’t get my piercing done until I go NJ and get you to do it. You do it so effortlessly

Under no circumstances should you use peroxide or alcohol

Shawn Pierce Master Piercer I have had a ton of piercings in the past and currently have 7. Septum, industrial, tongue, snake bites, ears stretched. And I don’t even pierce. I’m having to constantly explain to people not to use peroxide. Sea salt, water. And make sure it says sea salt and no other additives. Not sure why everyone thinks peroxide is good.

only part that’s sort of painful is when the tip of the needle goes thru that first layer but honestly it all depends on your pain tolerance. But it’s not painful tbh(just for anyone wondering)

I had my bellybutton pierced when I was 15 and my body rejected it and the bellybutton skin over it snapped when I bent over (the only thing that hurt was my feelings because I spent money on something that didnt last )

I love this guy. I only had one man pierce me when I was in my teens. He would take the time to line up the piercing. People these days paying for cheap piercings and it's crooked or unhygienic. Not worth it
I’ve had mine pierced for about a week now and it is starting to have a little crusty around the top area and a little red and itchy is that normal for the healing process ?
Yes that is very normal for the first stage of the healing process when you see crusties forming that's actually a good sign that means you're healing, just be sure to use a Q-tip and gently wash off the crusties
