I like that it tells u to stop if u feel sick. If your not on the edge of puking your not pushing yourself. lmfao

or you could tie or nail a metal/wooden bar outside between two trees. That's what I did years ago, now I nailed a wooden bar between the door studs in my basement with about 5 16d nails each. That fucker's been holding all 220, now 205 lbs of me for years now.

A lot of these guys are regular sailors going into extremely hard core PT. Still, I can't help to wonder what would happen if you were to put a platoon full of infantry marines or army infantry (leg or airborne) thru BUDs PT for a day, week or month. Would it be easier for them than the regular sailor guy going thru this? What would their reactions to that kind of PT be? Our NCO's in the infantry "smoked" us on a regular basis because there was ALWAYS private who would fuck up and it would be mass punishment PT for a few hours.

phillyphilhouse79, they spend a huge amount of time in the water. That is the part that really separates the wheat from the chaff in this program, and it is brutal. They are required to always improve their swim times. If they don’t, they will be dropped from the program. I think I read the Officers have even less leniency than the Enlisted, so they really have to dominate their swim times. They don’t just swim in a pool either. They do lots of long distance ocean swims in very cold water. So while an Army infantry person may be a very good runner, it doesn’t end there. How he performs in deep, damn near freezing cold water is the question.

Every other day I would suggest, give you time to recover.

    So basically, it's excessive repetition.
