- Let's make a Clarified Whiskey Sour. Traditionally milk punches preserved everything, but using ilk to clarify a cocktail delivers a smooth alternative to an everyday drink. This recipe is for two drinks, because who wants just one clarified cocktail.
2 ounces (60 ml) whole milk
4 ounces (120 ml) bourbon
1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) lemon juice
1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) simple syrup
Combine everything into a shaker tin, use a cone filter (like a pour over coffee maker) and dump the mixture into the filter and wait an hour. What's left is a smooth version of a whiskey sour. Add ice, stir and strain into two old fashioned glasses with ice. Top with some nutmeg. Cheers!
