Yeah Morissette did not win in the voice, but i think ABS-CBN considered her as a champion because of her achievement in international contest as she represents Philippines in asia's song festival in korea a years ago. 😊

They are all winners/ champions of their respective competitions. Mitoy won the Voice season 1, jason dy on the voice season 2, noven won tawag ng tanghalan season 1 while marcelito pomoy won season 1 of Pilipinas got talent.

Regine is also a Champion. Im fact a two-time Champion. 1st in Ang Bagong Kampeon (The New Champion) 1984, and in the whole of Asia and Pacific in the Asia-Pacific Song Contest joined by 79 countries where Regine was hailed Champion as the "Asia's Songbird" in 1989.

Regine was also a Grand Champion too at a national singing contest where she emerged as undefeated. She just graduated from being a weekly champion ( 8 weeks) and won the grand finals - Battle of Champions - the same with Sarah G. and Jona, that is why “Grand Champion”.
Regine then won the Asia-Pacific Singing Contest. Just like other notable singers like Jaya, Lani M., Jona, Jed Madela, Ima Castro, Verni Varga, Dulce, Hajji Alejandro, Rachel Alejandro, Vina Morales, etc., Regine brought home awards and trophies from international singing comprtitions.

Well Ovela, in the past 10 years that Regine was with the other network, she had been asleep. She was given these projects that are not really a fit to her CRAFT which is SINGING. And abscbn had always unleashed the best in her. So now that she's back to abscbn, you are right its as if she has been reborn. Her passionate singing is back. And again abscbn has always unleashed her very best. As a matter of fact most of her finest performances back in her glory era, was with abscbn.

Morissette was on the same edition of The Voice of the Philippines where Mitoy won (unfortunately, she only placed 4th), and the concept of the production number is to have all the singing contest champions sing with Regine, who herself is a champion of numerous amateur singing contests before becoming a professional singer and ultimately, she became the winner of the 1989 Asia Pacific Singing Contest a few years after she retired from joining amateur singing contests
Marcelito Pumoy is also a champion on Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2, and the other guy is Naben Belleza he is also a champion on Tawag ng Tanghalan. Jayson Dy is also a champion on The Voice Philippines.
Morisette was 2nd Placer from team Sarah. TIt was Clarissa de Guzman who represented the team Sarah for the grand finals against Lea Salonga’s finalist Mitoy. And of course on that night, it was very clear that Mitoy should be called as The Voice season 1

Ovela, I think the Philippines is patriarchal in some ways not matriarchal but equality does exist and i'm saying this purely because our system, our laws and everything that surrounds our modern society is based on the constitution of the United States Of America like the 3 branch of government and its laws and we inherited it from them and one could argue that the US constitution are created by patriarchy. We did manage to elect two female President in 2 different elections before the US, First in 86 and the second one is on 2001-10. Equality when it comes workplace and politics are pretty equal to both genders, we have females senators, congresswoman, female mayor, female governor, we have females in all many different branches of the government but the numbers of men in politics are high compared to women and when it comes to child custody laws its favorable to women/mothers.
Ps. So yeah, we are not like the some Middle Eastern countries who treats women as if they are things that you own. Women here have voices and women here can be quite scary if you ask me esp. if they become your GF. LOL

Some women are still forced to serve as a housewife even if it’s against their will. In general, some tasks are not given to women simply because they are women. The unemployment for men are higher that means women are being employed more by 94 percent while men are only 93 percent, the graph also shows that women are being paid higher wages. So no one is forcing women to be a house wife. STOP MAKING YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR FELLOW COUNTRYMEN LOOK LIKE BAD TO OTHER FOREIGN PEOPLE AS IF WE DONT VALUE OUR FILIPINA WOMEN.

The fact that you're shaming them is a sign of patriarchy; that is, you're tolerating, not accepting. Why do you care so much about what they wear, anyway? I can't possibly show you stats and data as there are no existing parameters that can measure and evaluate these incidents.

You missed the point. There was this case about a Filipina who had a picture of her private parts (taken without her consent) circulating over a Facebook group dominated by men. She filed a case against these people, but she ended up being bullied online as if she was trying to be too special.

Regine Velas.quez won in the 'Asia Pacific Song Festival in 1989 as grand champion. Her winning piece is "You,ll Never Walk Alone" She won also 100 times Amateur Singing Contest in the Philippines with no formal training. Her vouce coach is her late father. Thats why she earned the Title of Asia's Song Bird & The Queen because she sets a standard for Filipino Singers (her signature belting) Until now that she is 50 y.o. She is still in the music industry and singing and belts out like she used to.

I was still very young, grade 3, when i was following regine in a singing competition and became a champion.
She did a concert by saturday night then asap at sunday noon but then she still manage to belt effortless despite of tiring saturday night.
