I bought a recurve bow about 5 months ago and finally went out to a friends property and threw some arrows.. had so much fun.. thanks for all the tips!!!! Looking forward to more.. it’s tough finding places to shoot in the city
Shopping online, where would you recommend me go to purchase arrows like the ones you are currently using in the video? And the arrows used in the Olympics?
So sorry for the late reply! Check out Lancasterarcherysupply.com! I shoot the Easton Tributes for beginner groups but Easton ACE or Easton X10 for more advanced shooting!
Coach Tara - thanks for your vids. I appreciate that you focus on one concept at a time. I notice that a lot of archers appear deconditioned (other than their archery specific muscles). Why is this? Do you have any recommendations for archery conditioning? Is yoga good for archers? Thanks!
I think anything that promotes good balance and strong core is great for archery. When I used to compete, we did a lot of lower body strength exercises (squats, presses, etc) with a lot of back strength (lats, rows, etc) and core.
Hi Coach Tara, new guy here into archery... my problem is with left shoulder pain back of shoulder. plenty videos on YT on form, but I'm still not sure I udnerstand what proper form for the left shoulder is etc. Any help is appreciated. I will look for this in your other videos etc... thank you. Subddddd!
@@ArcheryHouse I am a right handed shooter. The pain is in my left shoulder with my bow arm. The pain is in the: acromion process, supraspinatus, and transverse ligament. Basically the back of the shoulder region left arm, but not the shoulder blade.
A lot of people have that same issue. You can try a shorter bill on the hat, tilt the hat or turn it while shooting, lift it up higher on your head (which is what you see happen when I shoot in this video). Watch the form of some top archery shooters on TH-cam with their hats!
So nice to see you again coach Tara, great tips and advice as always. Shout out from Mexico!
Glad to be back!
NIce. I have the same bow and shoot three under also. Fletch to nose for my anchor. Shoots really well.

Are you shooting left or right hand? Is your pain with your bow arm or draw arm?

I cant seem to wear a basball style hat without the string interfering with the string. Am i doing something wrong?

Je suis débutant et j'aime bien bien vos conseils. En plus, vous êtes jolie
Je suis français et j'ai 69 ans. Il n'y a pas d'âge pour débuter
Nice.I just stare at the target and shoot.

What about a left hander like me?
Don't anchor on the right side of your face.
