Yo, i dont know if you already make this build, but a build like "Succubus", not for the damage but play with charming spells on support or troll teamate x).
I dont think you covered Skinburster, but I definitely saw it in your inventory, but the damage reduction granted by it in combination with heavy armor master,grymforge gear, and heroism is stupid strong for any front line. Minimum of 12 damage reduction from the 1st attack at lvl 5 (extra attack w force conduit) every turn. I used all of it in conjunction with Heroism for a ridiculously tanky 2 handed Vengeance Pally. Or any oath really. Thought I'd share since it carried my butt at the end of Act 1 and Act 2.
I can never get on with paladin for some reason, always feel squish especially early game. But I'm still going to try this one, as it's one I do like the sound off!
Dw for paladin isn't that great since you don't learn the weapon fighting style for it. I would recommend using these if you do it order to have your offhand scale. bg3.wiki/wiki/Gloves_of_the_Balanced_Hands
I'll suggest to repec the Paladin build are already proficient in heavy armoured..that's one feat wasted..You can easily get 20 strength by the two permanent buff. Hag hair Act1 and the strength potion in ACT2..Build is nice for you..but it will be better if you change the heavy armoured master feat. Since the starting class is Paladin..It would make more sense if the starting class was Bard and still multiclass into paladin and still that feat won't be necessary as a Bardadin for example
This guards are level 8, absolutely no class at level 12 should have trouble fighthing them. In HM this build is not viable at all, because the low initiative and dosn't have alert feat. which is almost mandatory in HM, you would be demolished by the first major boss
I disagree completely. I've been fine in my current honour mode run. Currently in act 3, and about to do Raphael. The build is tanky and allows for follow ups after your team members go. And the initiative isn't terrible considering you can easily get plus 6 from gear. +1 in act 1 and +4 in act 2. So alert isn't needed at all. So unless you are trying to solo, I think it is fine.
This build is ok if you want to roleplay a full paladin. For honour mode though... or compared to optimized build this is really bad. You ll lose initiative because its just to low and on top of it you dmg is too low to kill everything in your first round that you do get to act. not good.
@@Idontknowinder I don't mind the lower initiative. I've been fine doing it even in act 3 on my honour run. But I can understand why someone would want a full team of high initiative. But you literally have +6 initiative as soon as you enter act 3, and +4 in act 2, +1 in act 1.
Waaaa waaa waaa. Bro just play the game however you want. It’s a single player/co op game. There’s no meta bro. The best way to play is the way you want to play. Analysis paralysis will just get you overly frustrated with min maxing everything.
Sounds like a L2Play issue. I used it fine in my honor mode and am about to fight Raphael. With gear, you can have +6 initiative, more than alert. Act 1 you can get plus 1, act 2 you can get it to +4, and in act 3 +6, which is equal to as of you have 20+ dex.

It is strong for sure. I used it with a barbarian and loved it.

The half orc racial is a little different. It adds extra dice the weapon melee crits. Still a solid choice though.

What were the boots?
Boots are pference. Night walkers are really great early on. I ended up going boots of persistence.
What parasite powers would you use with this?
I like cull of the weak, and luck of the far realms.
How do you break the oath easily?
Oath of Ancients and Devotion break if you kill the tieflings that have Lae'zel in a cage. Freezing Sazza at the Grove breaks Oath of Vengeance.
I show it in the video. Murder is the easiest way.
I broke mine as Vengeance by freeing the goblin in Druid Grove.

Heavy armor master doesn't give you prof. It makes it so you take reduced damage while increasing str.
I would say that HAM is great for surviving honor mode. This would how I would spec a defensive paladin for sure.

I disagree since the initiative is solved via gear anyhow. Honour mode has been pretty easy so far, even with lower initiative early on.

Time for a 2 paladin + 10 sword bard = more dmg and more cc (I used to run several other paladin builds, so not over selling it)
I've done bardadins. They are really fun, especially with adding the extra spells at bard level 10 from magical secrets.

You have to break your oath first.
Terrible build, your low initiative will get you decimated in honour mode before you can even do your low damage.
