I keep watching this because much like a movie the more you watch the more little details I notice! Really inspiring and useful stuff here. Just watching Nolly and Misha videos has improved my recordings 100%
Super cool video as always but I prefer the older videos format, Misha is a (modern and) massive inspiration, expecially when he writes music in front of you
I think this format is great for this particular grove pack because of the complexity of the grooves but for more straight forward grooves I like the old way because it helps me as far as songwriting.
The thing that makes this video amazing aside from the awesome song is all the details on your approach to writing! I would give anything to get a whole writing and producing course!
Doing a composition or overview demo is ideal because we get two different insights, and demonstration styles. Thanks for the sick groves GGD team and Misha!
Do you find easier or more difficult to write with 8 strings as opposed to 7 or even 6? Also, do you think that higher or lower tunings work better with more snare?
@@SimenSandnes Some killer grooves in this new pack dude, congrats :D And yes the drum groove stays 4/4 quintuplets, I shouldve said just the guitar, which definitely (probably :P) changes. Cheers!
Hey Misha, whats your prefered way to actually build out the drum map? it seems like clicking each square on the map for each hit takes way too long and is very frustrating to do!
I was literally just struggling with this a couple days ago and then I realized my daw let’s me view only the lines with drums on them and it made everything way less complicated!
@@tobintwinsmusic No, not really. I'm just kidding. Sorry if I confused you 😕. But sounds like something they would do, at least in the drum parts. I can imagine Matt Garstka playing this complex quintuplet patterns.
I mean he did say on a not-too-long-ago livestream that he's been helping out with the new AAL album. He's worked with them plenty before so I'm sure he's picked up the influence a good deal, him and Tosin go way back working together.
I like watching you write the riffs out and record them. Also no one is going to mention the guitars just strewn about the floor behind him? Clean that up man, I know your ass can afford a stand or two.
I wish Misha was my best friend
Maybe the best friends were the djenty lads we made along the way 😤😌
@@Budder99 hug me man
I wish I could just sit with him and write for like one evening.
@@stefanmccabe4705 I just want him to show me how to waste less time in cubase and EQ my shit properly. I'd be happy with that.
me to!! cheers
I think I prefer this style of video better, it has more insight
agreed
Add all of these Getgood experiments as another bulb archive. They're all so good.
I was literally just looking for this video
No Shit me too !!

That demo song is spectacular
By the way, I think it’s awesome that the mistakes and extra string noise stuff is left in. Feels real and at home!
thanks for being such a huge inspiration Misha sharing all your tips and tools, you're awesome, i hope to see you play in Mexico again
Super cool video as always but I prefer the older videos format, Misha is a (modern and) massive inspiration, expecially when he writes music in front of you
Yeah I totally agree!
I think I like it this way with the song written, and then breaking down the sections
«these goes all over the place» is the new «these goes to 11»
This style of video is perfect! Super informative. Thank you!
MISHA U ROCK NEVER STOP
Thank you for Misha as always great tutorial, You Progmaster

Jesus that bass tone is crushing
OMG THAT GUITARR
@6:56 Can't hide his guilty pleasure, incredible moment!

That looks like a multi scale 8 string version of your Jackson sig. Might we be expecting this sometime in the future?
nah probably a one time custom. too niche of a guitar to warrant making a sig run
Would be cool to see how you mix and process the P4 kit in depth
misha can u upload all midi grove project on spotify , look sick
that would be awesome!
Do you find easier or more difficult to write with 8 strings as opposed to 7 or even 6? Also, do you think that higher or lower tunings work better with more snare?
Goddamn, I really need to save some scratch and get an 8-string.
Theory fwiw: It starts 4/4 with quintuplets and changes to 3/4 with the quintuplets grouped into 4 subdivisions. Atleast how i hear it.
4/4 quintuplets all the way :-D

very cool! nice sounding
Misha: *trying to make a tutorial video*
Guitar delay: WAWAWAWAWAA
Quintuplets are mindboggeling, but sounds amazing. Check out drummer Anika Nilles, she´s amazing with them.
Best format.
this format is great :) Maybe you could show some synthesizer stuff some time.
Dude I don't give a shit how you do it, just keep doing what you do
Mick Gordon would be proud Misha 🙌🏻🔥 @mishamansoor
Mmm I like both but if I had to pick I would go for your original format
I prefer to see the recording process. However this format is great as well.
19:00 repetition legitimizes repetition legitimizes
Misha didn't actually say it, but he's producing this song for Animals as Leaders
is that so?

god that jackson is gorgeous
Pink is so hot right now. Pink

2:14 sounds a lot like Habitual Line-Stepper
I love the delay lol
14:12 just a replay button
I prefer this style of video, less downtime, more engaging :)
I kind of like the other way of doing these. Just my .02. Either way, I wish there was more but I understand why.
Misha.....
I believe you're my favorite musician.
Sorry bud....
i love you
So many guitars now you even have to step over guitars on the floor to get to the fridge which also more than likely has a guitar in it. ha
His name is Semen Sadness i like it haha
It sure is!
