How to increase the e-niro cargo space 20% instantly!

- Many markets of the e-niro have two false floors. But the Norwegian cars have a much deeper boot/trunk with only one false floor. I have converted my car to be like that so I have tons more space in there. Here is how I've done it. Part 2 where I paint it and stuff will follow shortly.

Whoever is making the boot fittings for the Norway Market could be selling an aftermarket kit to all eniro owners.

You sound local to me. Scouser! I live in Liverpool also. Looking to buy a Kia e-Niro. We have an ID.3 and an Outlander PHEV. Want to get shut of the Outlander soon and wanted to see what the boot space was like on these Kia’s. Thanks for the great video on maximising the space. 👍
I’ve fitted a space saver spare wheel in the well of my Kia E Nero. On the Hyundai Kona Electric my previous car, the floor is designed to drop down without the need for alterations.
It would be nice peace of mind having a space saver. I might look into that for my long trips in summer. Did you get it from Kia or is it just a generic space saver with the same stud pattern?

Good job! Not being able to access the underneath, you might want to check out people on TH-cam that have made frunks for the e-niro. Big enough for cables and a few other bits and bobs. They fit on the same lugs as and replace the plastice (engine?) cover. Two other things I've seen that seem useful. Replacing the bonnet strut with two self opening gas struts (you can buy off Ebay) a five minute job and the best thing the Camwipe, a great thing for keeping your rear view camera clean a thirty second fit. Again shown on TH-cam.
I had a frunk on the I-Pace and I never really used it. So I'm not really too fussed about a usable frunk.
The gas struts on bonnet are a good idea, my previous cars had them so it feels very old fashioned now putting the long metal bonnet holder up on the e-niro. Even for just filling up the screen wash it would be nice.
Yeah, a camwipe is pretty much essential imo.

A full sized spare does in that area, if it is the 16" wheels, not sure if the 18" wheel would fit though. Was to lazy to see if anyone said this.

I have a Norwegian 2022 deep floor model with the larger boot and would like to swap the bits for a highter floor.

3:23 throwing away a perfectly good frunk.
I just bought my E-niro 2021 in norway, and talked to the dealer about this. And they actually said that they were getting complaints when the car was previewed that the trunk was too small. So they asked Kia to ship them to the dealers without these sections to increase to a more pleasing size trunk.
Oh, that's interesting! I concur, it seems a waste of space, Norway has it right. Kia should ship all e-niro's the same as Norwegian trunk. Feels great having this extra space now! Would be better for people with big dogs too.
@@FinlandTony agreed, the big trunk was one of the reasons i got E-niro instead og kona. And also comparing this trunk to most other electric cars noone besides tesla can match
@@safargris815 teslas' is a boot not a hatchback, so no good for dog owners.
@@David-bl1bt if you have a model x you could fit the dog, but still comparing in just space tesla is the only manifacturer that has more liters in the trunk.

Had a frunk on my I-Pace and never used it, so I'm not bothered about a frunk to be honest. I like huge frunks that you can put shopping or an overnight bag in, but not small frunks.

Wow, good spot! It is a big spider yes, but it is made of plastic. We had a Halloween ball in the garage (yes I tidied it) for the kids and put props everywhere. These plastic spiders are everywhere.
