    I’ll be here hanging out here in the comments for the next little while if anyone has any other accessories for their acoustic guitar, I’d love to know!! 😊

      What defines an accessory anyway? I’m not too sure? Probably none of the things I’ve mentioned in my video 😅

    Add a shubb 4-string banjo capo to your list of tricks. Put the capo on lower 4 strings at fret 2 to turn EADGBE turns into F#BEABE (note the repeated BE in the string tuning). Then, instead of a somewhat challenging 2-4-4-2-0-0 that requires the thumb, it turns into a simple 'Em' shape. Most standard chords can still be played as if you have a 6-string capo on fret 2 because most of the high string notes are fretted.
    It also turns standard shape power chords into open chords, e.g. 3-5-5-2-0-0 is played as a 1-3-3 power chord, 5-7-7-2-0-0 is played as a 3-5-5 power chord and so on up the neck. If you prefer to remain in "standard tuning"... tune the guitar a whole step down and you don't have to transpose the music but still get access to this system of open chords. Not sure how it would work in DADGAD though!

      Hi, thanks for the comment!! Yeah that’s a good tip, I should try that. I’ve been meaning to look into partial capos. I guess there’s lots to explore when it comes to this and it probably open up a whole new world of possibilities. Thanks so much! 😊

    Nice little video and always a joy to hear you play with whatever gadget you use! My must have is a guitar support, like neck-up or ergoplay, can't even play without them anymore😊

      Hi, thanks for the comment. Glad you liked the video! I want to try one of these guitar supports, I sometimes get pains in my foot from using a foot rest too long so using a guitar support would definitely help with that!

    I always have a Boots 4-sided emery block for keeping my nails good. Bargain at £2. 🙂
    Plus one on the Empress EQs. I have the current version which certainly doesnt colour the sound as much as other EQs. Its a tonal swiss-army knife - it's fab! 😀

      Hi, thanks for the comment. Oh yeah those nail file blocks are super useful.
      Oh nice! Is that the ParaEQ Mk2 you have?

    • @ColinMacPhail.

      Yep. It’s the para eq deluxe. Excellent kit and doesn’t colour the sound like some eqs do. Haven’t tried the original version so can’t compare though.

      Hi, thanks so much! It’s an O10 jumbo with mahogany back and sides and a cedar top, made in 1994.

    I bought a bunch of Hercules hangers to hang on the wall. Great hangers, never had to worry about them. I bought a recorder (maybe a different model) at a second-hand shop, I've never used it but there may come a day. The tuner I got was made by Korg, nothing special but it always works. The batteries seem to last forever. I picked up a few D'addario humid packs for the more expensive guitars in their cases. Once they start to get hard they can be put into a closed container with distilled water on the bottom (but don't let them touch the water) until they become like gel again. They want you to buy new ones but I have been reusing them for years now. I also picked up a bluetooth humidity meter. (so it would tell you the level inside your guitar case on your phone) I must say, it wasn't cheap, but what a piece of crap. 😛 The couple of capos I have are fairly cheap Dunlop brand but made in the USA which I've had forever. Good video there Fabian.

      Hi, thanks for the comment!! 😊👍 interesting stuff!! Yeah humidity is an important one! I’m in a basement here so I’m always checking the humidity levels. A lot of my stuff is fairly expensive, maybe I could do another video about my favourite stuff under $50 or something? Cheers 🙂

    I do have the Elliott of course…however the G7th (same style) seems not as squeaky…Love both however.

    • @FabianHollandGuitar
      @FabianHollandGuitar  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Jasper! What do you mean by squeaky? I haven’t actually tried any G7th Capos, I really should!!

    • @jasper_north
      @jasper_north 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FabianHollandGuitar The spring of the Elliot feels a bit squeaky,… it is simply not a smooth CAPO in my opinion, but I am a proud owner. Even talked to Melissa on the phone, the owner, she and her husband.
