      Remember when a scrap ensued in Columbus and the player's helmet went over the glass...a fan who caught it put it on !! He had a beer in one hand, a bucket that's too small and the chinstrap not done up in the other. Then there's the dumb ass that fell into the penalty box when Tie Domi was in it. Good ole Joe Bowen, announcer, I believe says, "watch out for the lawsuit Tie", lol

    not a leafs fan but this was an excellent video! maple leafs had some exciting, competitive teams in the 1990's. '93, 94, '99 (and '02) conference finals appearances. kind of unfortunate that they couldn't have made the final any of those years but especially '93 would have been a big deal.
    just imo the video should have included glenn anderson's ot goal against the la kings back in 1993.
    cheers from southern ontario 🍁

    miss Maple Leaf Gardens, team lost its soul when they moved

    • @OneEyedKeys
      @OneEyedKeys 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Indeed. They should have kept it, like the Bo-Sox keep Fenway, and Cubs-Wrigley Field. The Leafs do seem soulless since then, no matter how much young talent they have. I was in the new building once, and told myself I never need to return, and never did, nor will. The Gardens was a holy temple.

    • @transportationland6395
      @transportationland6395 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OneEyedKeys Once the "new" building is too old, they should build a new gardens FOR hockey. The ACC Seems too much like a basketball arena than hockey. Seems like it's better for basketball than hockey.

    • @OneEyedKeys
      @OneEyedKeys 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@transportationland6395 Agreed. It's just another generic souless 'multi-purpose' stadium built for concerts, conventions and all sorts of other baloney. The Gardens was built by Conn Smythe, ONLY for hockey...(though of course it hosted other amazing events in it's time, but it was always hockey-first. Were you ever in the Gardens for a Leaf game? It was so much different.

    • @transportationland6395
      @transportationland6395 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OneEyedKeys Exactly, even though the Gardens had basketball and other events, during hockey it had the greatest atmosphere ever. I miss those classic days with the streetcars outside the arena with crowds, people entering through the turnstiles, the classic scoreboard. I have been in the ACC, and the atmosphere just isnt the same. Crappy goal song, generic goal horn. Andy Frost gone, it just isnt the same.

    • @transportationland6395
      @transportationland6395 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Arthur Thoms ok, but they ONLY talk about the Leafs. It doesn't hurt them in any way if the other teams get some attention. The Leafs vids will still be shown anyway so it doesn't justify not promoting an entire nation rather than just the one city.
