I struggle with severe anxiety....to the point where I thought I was going to have to be hospitalized. I was diagnosed with OCD and some of my triggers include knives; it had manifested into Harm OCD where I was afraid if I picked up a knife, I would stab someone I loved. I would help in the kitchen with my mom and dad and suddenly flee the room crying.
It also manifested into sleep (health) OCD. I thought i would never sleep again. I'd go 80 to 100 hours, not a wink of sleep because my adrenaline wouldn't let me. My compulsion was to call suicide hotlines, my family, anyone and everyone, my boss even, desperate to know if i was ok, if i was going crazy. Meds helped me a lot but even times like now, when i have the flu, i have spiked symptoms. Your voice is so calming and grounds me to where i must listen to every word and you make me feel so much less alone. I don't have schizophrenia but I will say when anxiety becomes unmanageable, I have some pretty similar symptoms to many on that spectrum.
    Thank you!

Alright so, you spoke about the side effects of antipsychotics and, since many people on the more severe end of the mood disorder spectrum also take them, either as a mood stabiliser or as an augmentative strategy to potentiate antidepressants, I was wondering if you are aware of any differences in terms of side effect profile between those who take them for this purpose and people who are on them for psychosis spectrum illness?

I think it depends on the person for myself it was hard to accept my Mental Illness of PDD-NOS. Which I wouldn't trade the world for now, because of the strengths I do have. Having to accept the fact I'm going to be on Risperidone, Ritalin and Various sleeping medications for the rest of my life. I've lived well with the fact now that I've gotten older that I get to be accepted by the Autism community such as on Reddit which allows me to feel connected. Which I don't think I would have been able to accept years ago because I was ashamed of myself and my illness. So I think it depends on the person.

I find satisfaction in my faith in Jesus Christ. He died for me and was resurrected on the 3rd day so i can have everlasting life and so i can be forgiven for my wrongs when i ask God to forgive me. He is kind and he is good!,❤️❤️
