  • I shoot a lot. Like a lot. Everyday. And I have very good reasons to do so. Come with me as I explore yet another beautiful location here in Norway, and I show you every single shot I take.

    People who try to claim good photographers only press the shutter when it’s a good photo are just trying to make a meaningless ‘profound’ statement. Even those we consider as the masters of photography took many rejected photographs and great photographs we take can often be happy accidents. Also trying out ideas is a huge part of our photography journey.

      I'm relatively new to photography but have a history with art in general...but yea I noticed this and can't believe people are 100% in the right place, time, and get it in one snap! I'm sure there are a ton of "ok" pics and others not. Speaking of happy accidents a cell phone pic of mine has gotten so much attention (on a forum) and it's so basic 😀.

      Indeed. One of my favorite photos of the Chicago skyline was one I took at dusk when I accidentally jostled the tripod.

    As someone who has mobility issues, shooting from the car is sometimes the only option, especially in bad weather. It just goes to show that you don't always need to get off the beaten track to get good images! Living in Norway would help though! 😀 Looking forward to your next vlog. Thank you.

    It's very easy to shoot 400-500 pictures in an hour. The issue is post processing of having to go through so many and the time it takes.

    I really enjoyed this video. Love square B&W and yours are great. As for your tripod I ditched my manfrotto ages ago and got a Kingjoy model with no centre column as they're a nuisance! The tripod is much more stable without the centre column and I can get really low down without messing about reversing that useless column.

    Living close to and spending a lot of time on Dartmoor, the so called wild campers left a lot of rubbish and caused damage on many places on the moor. This was also the case with people visiting the local nature reserve. Thankfully now we are back to normal the problem has gone away. I see a few true wild campers but they leave no evidence of having been there. Day visitors cause more problems with discarded barbecues ,dirty nappies and rubbish deposited in streams.

    Could we please see a little about your selection process and editing? By the way, those are some terrific shots! I think I like #12 best, but it’s so hard to choose.

    @aows ... Great video as always Adrian ... I so glad that Paul C Smith introduced me to your channel and of course your work. You should really make the journey to NZ and you'll never stop shooting whilst there.... Milford Sound and the south island would blow your mind.
    I'm the sort of photographer that will take multiple shots of the same scene and from multiple positions.
    Sometimes it only takes one or two, but if the light / or weather conditions are changing rapidly, I'll a few more.
    They only time I restrict the shot count is when I'm shooting with film .... that ever more expensive medium.

    Inspiring! (And interesting to see well known landscape through your camera!) Thank you.
    One wish for a coming video: Do you take photos with print in mind; and if so: How, and is it for a spesific size and perhaps and always the same paper?
    Keep up the good work.

    Wow! what a fantastic video you posted! Thanks so so much for giving such a long and detailed on-site lesson/demonstration, whatever you call it, I learned so much. I like a lot the ability of shooting all day long that the B&W approach provides. It really suits to the foggy mountain tops and many other compositions. You got so many good images within a single day, and get to learn from the bad ones anyway.
    Funnily, the gut is now considered as the second brain, so shooting with your gut and then editing with your brain makes so much sense ;) Cheers Adrian !

    I hope you can make an exhibition in the EU-parliament in Brussels, to make them understand they've no right to make Norway the "green battery" of Europe, destroying it with wind turbine farms.

    • @joetrent4753
      @joetrent4753 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’d go for wind turbines over fossil fuels as they contribute to a greener future.

    • @bioliv1
      @bioliv1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joetrent4753 You can do so in your own country if you like to, but wind turbines don't belong to the nature of Norway. Mountain top removal is nothing to what the destruction is for a wind turbine farm! It's only done because Germany want our hydro power as balance power, while we get German prices on our dirty wind turbine energy!
