  • In this video, I want to show you my 2 ways: How to Grow Echinacea, Echinacea purpurea, Coneflowers from Seeds.
    Sowing Echinacea purpurea is a very responsible business.
    Echinacea purpurea is an herbaceous perennial up to 120 cm (47 inches) tall by 25 cm (10 inches) wide at maturity and do not require support. Seed germination occurs best with daily temperature fluctuations or after stratification, which helps to end dormancy.
    The plant can be grown by sowing seeds, growing seedlings, or dividing bushes in spring and autumn.
    I will use the first method, sowing seeds.
    Well, are you ready?
    Let's go! Growing Echinacea purpurea from seed!
    I hope the video was helpful and interesting!
    Thank you for watching! Don't forget to thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you enjoyed it!

    I liked learning this technique but it would have been much more informative if you had explained what you were doing while you were planting, etc. You say the temperature that is best, but is that in a refrigerator or in a dark room, where do you put your seeeds, also what is fried sand, do you fry it yourself or buy it? If you make it yourself, how? What month are you doing this. Where do you get the acid, etc. It was informative, but having you explain things as you go along rather than playing background music would have been much more helpful for a beginner gardener. Thx

      Hello! All the answers to your questions are in this video.
      You just need to look at it carefully.
      The temperature for seed germination and seedling growth is indicated, a transparent film is used to allow light to penetrate, and the sowing date is indicated.
      I make fried sand myself in a hot frying pan.
      Where can I get acid? This product is sold by marketplaces and garden centers, this is not a problem.
      By the way, have you subscribed to my channel? Thanks in advance.

      I did subscribe. I think this technique sounds so much better than the traditional way b/c it is so much faster. I have listened to your video twice and still have some questions. Fired sand: do you just buy regular sand and put it in a frying pan, how long do you fry it, how hot? What is the planting medium you are using, is it potting soil or seeding soil or something else. I think you have great information to share, just talk through everything as you go along instead of just trying to list the facts. You will communicate with your audience much more and will sound more personable. I think you have great ideas, they just don't get communicated completely. I am not trying to criticize, just giving constructive advice which is what several other people have said.
      Thx for the info@@AlexasGarden

      Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, it is impossible to show all the nuances of sowing and caring for a plant in one video. Sometimes we can talk about it in the comments, like now.
      Your questions and wishes are important to me, and it is also very important for me to have feedback.
      I don't buy sand. I use river sand; I have a river nearby with sandy banks.
      You need to fry the sand to make disinfection. It's simple.
      This way you can prevent root rot.

    What is succinic acid and where can I find it?

    • @AlexasGarden
      @AlexasGarden  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      HI Gayle! Succinate acid or Succinic acid or Butanedioic acid is a food additive that is used for horticulture and in the food industry. Usually it can be purchased on the marketplace as a pure substance or as part of a complex mineral fertilizer.
      If this is difficult for you, you can use willow branches. I usually cut several thin willow branches, leave them in water for 1-2 days, and then water the seeds or young plants with this aqueous solution.
      This solution works as a growth stimulator.
      Thanks for watching!

    How do this plant can heal you?? The flower? How do you procédé?

    • @AlexasGarden
      @AlexasGarden  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Claudette!
      Thanks, a good question. I want to share my personal experience. Echinacea plays an incredibly important role in maintaining immunity. The plant hormones of this plant support a weakened immune system if defense mechanisms are impaired. I use Echinacea infusions and teas regularly and thus protect myself from various colds caused by viruses.
      Be healthy!

    • @claudettemonty4077
      @claudettemonty4077 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your tea: is that with the pink of the flower , or the seeds, or both?? What part of the flower you take to make the tea??

    • @AlexasGarden
      @AlexasGarden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@claudettemonty4077 Stems, leaves and flowers can be used for tea.
      But I prefer flowers.
      In addition, it is in flowers that the highest concentration of phytohormones, because there Echinacea forms its offspring and makes sure that it is healthy.
      I usually use dried flowers. Here is an approximate proportion: 2 teaspoons of a dry plant and 2 cups of very hot water.
      I hope this will be useful for you. Good weekend!🌺🌺🌺

      Hi! Thank you for your question. Yes, well-heated sand to create a sterile layer of soil on the surface where the seeds will germinate.
      This is protection from the blackleg.
