I crocheted with acrylic yarn for years but two months ago I learned how to knit and made the jump to natural fibers. Idk how I'm going to finish any of my crochet projects now lmao
omg I feel that
Qq
no bc literally i bought hand dyed hard and made a dress and now i’m like i can’t see myself never not using natural fibers
It’s so cool hearing you talk about what you plan to make with the yarn! Would love more photos of the intended patterns
You’ve inspired me so much with knitting! Thank you for sharing your knitting with us :)
oh of course :P
Alpaca is definitely more expensive than wool - I think the Drops Nepal has alpaca to make it a little softer and more pliable. 100% wool can be too scratchy and sometimes doesn’t have that nice “halo” effect other fibers do. Cute video! I just discovered Drops yarns, and they’re amazing.
I do a lot of my drafts in color-changing yarn when I'm practicing new techniques or debugging a pattern before I work it in nice yarn and I also pin them to a pin board. 😂 I don't know why but I just really like them haha. What fun ideas for the wall!
I love love LOVE! The black mohair! 💕 I've been eyeing up drops as my mother used to use their patterns. They are such a good company.
IK so affordable!
I love wool warehouse! I've bought almost all of my yarn online from them 😁 managed to get like nine balls of the flora in the sale for like £20 🥳
Thank you Tiffany, great and helpful review .
Your hair is SO pretty ✨💕
Girl please, this video is the beeeeest! Would love to see more videos about the rest of your yarns :)
AHA yes slowly but surely
That apple colour of the kid silk?? I am in love! Also, alpaca is definetly more expensive than regular wool, and it weighs more which is why you get fewer meters per 50g.
YAS, oh woah did not even realize, that makes sense
Drops Karisma is also great for dyeing:) I dyed it orange, red and yellow and it really soaked up the colour amazingly:)
don't feed my yarn dyeing temptation!!
@@typicalbliss Just saying...😆 Though I'm convinced you'd dye some very cool yarn😊
The apple green mohair was just ughhh😻 chef kiss! Why dont you mix it with some cream yarn? I think it will look lovely, it will give a little touch of color✨ greetings from Peru!! Love your videos❤️
WOOOAH I never thought to mix it with a totally different colour, that would look sick
@@typicalbliss I think that then you have so unique fabric, this is the best way to kinda make your own shade. I love melange look so I alwyas want to throw mohair just as additional color touch :) lately I ussed soft tweed in carrot cake, and two strands od kidsilks: rust and raspberry (which turn out to be very vibrant magenta - I'm also buying online) and all of this together gived me a sweater with very interesting color, can't decide if it is pink or brown or carrot haha
Which brand mohair is your fave?
OMG i just ordered drops yarn last week and it came in today!!!
LOL TWINNING
Ok Tiffany you're going to have to tell me what yarn and colour you used for the culumus blouse you're wearing in this vid. It's the perfect colour and I want to recreate it! It would be greatly appreciated much love x
The apple green mohair 🍏 💚 could you do the Sunday Cardigan Mohair in the green? If not enough, two strands green and one strand white/cream? It’s such a beautiful pattern 😍
not me, working on my Fridag with my Drops (Alpaca and Kid-Silk, if you wanna know!) whilst you mention it as you ponder about cabled sweaters. I kinda lust after the Billie pullover by Sari Nordland but also.. looks like a lot of cables, but the dream is the sweater Chris Evans wears in Knives Out.
OMG that sweater would be a mammoth to finish
What yarn did you use for the sweater that you are wearing? And size?
I really love using Wool Warehouse to purchase yarn! It's probably the only way I could get 'mainstream' yarn since it's not really available where I'm from. I can't wait to see all the projects you make with your drops yarn!
YES honestly wool warehouse is the best
Your hair is looking pretty :)
AW thank you!
I just love listening to you talk, it’s so relaxing 🤧 I recently bought the drops kid silk and the merino yarns in this beautiful dusky green color for a hat and matching wrist warmers!
did you knit the sweater you’re wearing in this video? if so, what pattern did you use? I’ve been looking for one like that for a while 😌
Its the Cumulous Blouse from petiteknit :)
@@alliebarnes4278 ahh thank you!! it did seem familiar 😅
i love your videos. go girl
Ooh can I still send a lil square? I have some sock yarn I'd love to put to good use
could you make a video recreating as brown and green sweater harry styles had worn? i feel like you would love it !!!
yassssss!!!
I will say I don’t think alpaca is cheaper than wool… it’s pretty expensive and luxurious imo
oh damn, I guess I was brainwashed by drops prices
Yeah, it’s considered one of the world’s most expensive fibers. Alpaca wool is also three times warmer than sheep wool! I bet they mix it up to make the fabric feel softer or something. 😄
I love rhe yarn
same
part of the reason alpaca is often mixed with wool is because pure alpaca does not hold its shape so wool and other fibres make sure it does!
That honestly makes a lot of sense
aw that green mohair is DELICIOUS i want sum but i dont wear much green😩😩
SAME but like go out of your comfort zone, its so fun LOL
" They mix alpaca in their wool to make it cheaper . Made my tea go up my nose.
When you order from wool warehouse does it come from the uk? I was looking online and don’t quite understand it all when ordering . Thank you for the video it helped me decide to try drops
yeah its from the UK! I have to pay shipping but I don't buy more than $100 so I can avoid customs/duties ahah
You talk a lot about using Drops yarns in your petiteknit projects. Could you make a video on substituting yarns? All the beautiful danish yarns petiteknit uses aren't available in my country and drops makes great and affordable alternatives😍💕
FOR SURE!!
where did you get the bags you have the yarn in??
Wool warehouse supplies the bags when you order!
Sorry so late, but you could do a hounds tooth pattern with the black and cream! You're so fast tho you probs already knitted that!
Anyone know the guidelines for sending a square to Tiff? I'm probably blanking but I can't find what size squares she's looking for
10cm by 10cm!
Please release a pattern for the slipover/vest! I’ve been thinking about it ever since I saw your grey knit tank video! 🧚🏼♂️🧚🏼♂️
Working on it!
Where can you buy drops in the US?
I get mine from Wool Warehouse, but if you are in the US they are probably in your local yarn stores
love your piercings haha
aw thank you :P I still want more
Your hair is getting so long!!!
hahah yeah!! lol I have had long hair all my life and cut it short during quarantine so its just feeling normal again
